Abstract

This study aims to determine the protein content found in all three cassava varieties. The cassava varieties produced in Randotonda Village, namely the cassava variety, the variety of cassava Ai land, and the flour cassava varieties. Test the protein content of several cassava varieties with varied harvest ages using the Kjedhal method. Cassava varieties of Tanah ai varieties with an harvest age of 8 months, cassava tubers, 10 months old verietas, and cassava flour 12 months old.The results showed that the three types of fresh cassava tubers of White variety were 1.59%, Tanah Ai cassava varieties were 1.48% and Wheatwood sweet potato varieties were 1.18%. This is because the White yam variety is 8 months old, while the 10-month AI variety and the Wheat variety are 12 months (1Year).

Abstract

A study entitled “Isolation and Identification of Mycotoxin-producing Fungi on Cocoa Beans Produced in Flores and Lembata” was done in order to know the population and species of fungi and to know the concentration of mycotoxin in the dried cocoa beans. The dry cocoa beans used in this study were collected from several locations in Flores. Isolation of the fungi was done using Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA). Results of this study showed that there were several fungi were found in the dried cocoa beans produced in Flores, namely Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, A. parasiticus, A. fumigatusandMucor sp.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the optimum planting distance on the growth and yield of Bok Choy Sum plant, determining optimum planting distance of mustard greens plant that can optimize the growth and yield of Bok Choy Cum plant. This study employed group random design with single factor pattern including5 treatments, namelyPD0: Planting Distance 10 cm x 20 cm, PD1: Planting Distance 15 cm x 10 cm, PD2: Planting Distance 15 cm x 15 cm, PD3: Planting Distance 15 cm x 20 cm, PD4: Planting Distance 20 cm x 20 cm. All treatments were repeated four times so that there were 20 specimen garden-beds. The treatment of planting distance on Bok Choy has an impact on plant height, the width of leaves, but it did not have an impact on the number of leaves. The treatment of planting distance on result variable has a real impact on the variable of Bok Choy Sum-1 weight andBok Choy Sum weight ha-1. Planting distance 20 cm x 20 cm can optimize the growth and yield of Bok Choy Sum.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the impact of planting distance on the growth and yield of Pak Choy and determining the optimal distance that can optimize the growth and yield of Pak Choi. This study employed group random design with 6 treatments of planting distance, namelyJ1 = 20 cm x 25 cm, J2 = 20 cm x 20 cm, J3 = Planting distance 20 cm x 15 cm, J4 = Planting distance 20 cm x 10 cm, J5 = 10 cm x 15 cm, J6 = 10 cm x 10 cm.Each treatment was repeated 4 times so that there were 24 specimen garden-beds. It is found out that planting distance did not have any impact on plant height, the width of leaves, and numbers of leaves at age of 10–20 days after planting, whereas there was an impact on plant age of 25–35 days after planting on plant height of 15.59 cm, a number of leaves of 9.17 cm, the width of leaves of 52.28 cm and fresh Pak Choy weight of 148.4g per plant, fresh weight per ha 1204.43 ha.

Abstract

Cadmium heavy metal is one of the heavy metals that is harmful to human health and is widely found in agricultural land with the use of phosphorus-based fertilizers such as in rice fields. The research was conducted in Lape Village, Aesesa District, which produces Inpari and Ciherang varieties of rice. Rice samples were taken directly from the farmers who cultivate the two types of plants. Analysis of cadmium from rice samples using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method and comparing it with the maximum limit of heavy metal contamination in rice set by the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 6989.16:2009 . The results showed that the cadmium content in rice was < 0.001 ppm – 0.001 ppm. The content of cadmium in the rice is still below the set standard, this is closely related to soil conditions such as soil pH, C-organic at the study site, where high organic matter conditions affect low cadmium content.
