Abstract

A positive natural environment can have positive implications for improving one's English language skills. The analysis of the situation faced by the partners was the minimum mastery of English basic skills, which resulted in a very low level of confidence in using English. This Community Service activity aims to improve the English skills of activity partners who are members of the English Lover Community (ELC) Ende through the use of Ende Beach tourism objects as a source of learning inspiration. The method of community service activities is to carry out mentoring through several stages of organizing and mentoring techniques including interviews, pre-tests, interactive lectures, questions and answers, contextual learning, discussions, drilling, demonstrations and post-tests. This activity had a positive impact on improving the English language skills of Ende's English Lover Community (ELC) participants. English proficiency in this case is an increase in vocabulary and pronunciation mastery of Ende's English Lover Community (ELC) participants both in quantity and quality. In addition, it also has positive implications for the ability to compose learned vocabulary into English sentences and re-express sentences that have been strung into good and correct English pronunciation, as well as an increase in the ability to compose English sentences into short paragraphs and the ability to read these compiled paragraphs with correct English pronunciation and intonation. The improvement in these skills can be seen from the increasing in the average score of pre-test (60.33%) to post-test (81.33%)

Abstract

AbstrakAdapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan ritual adat Po’o pada masyarakat Desa Ratewati Selatan, 2) Untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai budaya kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam ritual adat Po’o dan 3) Untuk mengetahui implementasi nilai-nilai budaya kearifan lokal pada ritual adat Po’o untuk pembentukan karakter dalam pembelajaran di SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan foto.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Po’o berasal dari bahasa lio yang artinya bambu. Ritual Po’o merupakan suatu upacara tradisional yang diwariskan oleh nenek moyang dan dijunjung tinggi oleh warga masyarakat Molutangga dan diwariskan kepada generasi penerusnya. Ritual adat yang dijalankan oleh masyarakat Molutangga dilaksanakan selama satu hari dan dalam jangka satu tahun sekali. Ritual ini dijalankan untuk memohon kepada Du’a Nggae Gheta Lulu Wula, Nggae Ghale Wena Tanah dan embu Mamo untuk menyuburkan tanah dan memulai musim tanam pada sistem berladang. Dalam upacara Po’o ada tiga nilai yang di dalamnya yakni: 1) Nilai Sosial dalam Po’o adalah kebersamaan dan persaudaraan masyarakat Molutangga, 2) Nilai Budaya dalam ritual ini adalah pelestarian warisan budaya dari nenek moyang masyarakat Molutangga dan 3) Nilai Religi dalam melaksanakan ritual adat Po’o pada saat pemberian sesajian kepada Du’a Nggae, memohon kepada Tuhan supaya diberikan kesuburan dan kelimpahan panen. Pendidikan karakter pada anak merupakan proses pembentukan karakter untuk memberikan dampak positif terhadap perkembangan emosional, spiritual dan kepribadian. Tujuan dari pendidikan karakter adalah untuk mengembangkan potensi hati nurani atau afektif anak sebagai manusia dan warga negara yang memiliki nilai-nilai karakter, mengembangkan kebiasaan dan perilaku anak yang terpuji dan sejalan. Kata Kunci: Ritual Po’o, Nilai-Nilai Budaya, Pendidikan Karakter                                                                                    Abstract           The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the process of implementing Po'o traditional rituals in the people of South Ratipat Village, 2) To find out the cultural values of local wisdom contained in Po'o traditional rituals and 3) To determine the implementation of the traditional Po'o values. the cultural value of local wisdom in Po'o traditional rituals for character building in elementary school learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, the data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique consisted of observation, interview, documentation and photo techniques.Based on the research results it can be concluded that Po'o comes from the language lio which means bamboo. The Po'o ritual is a traditional ceremony passed down from our ancestors and upheld by the Molutangga community and passed on to future generations. The traditional rituals carried out by the Molutangga community are carried out for one day and once a year. This ritual is performed to beg Du'a Nggae Gheta Lulu Wula, Nggae Ghale Wena Tanah and embu Mamo to fertilize the soil and start the planting season in the farming system. In the Po'o ceremony, there are three values in which: 1) Social Value in Po'o is togetherness and brotherhood of the Molutangga community, 2) Cultural value in this ritual is the preservation of cultural heritage from the ancestors of the Molutangga community and 3) Religious Value in carry out the traditional Po'o ritual when giving offerings to Du'a Nggae, asking God to give fertility and abundant harvests. Character education in children is a character building process to have a positive impact on emotional, spiritual and personality development. The purpose of character education is to develop the conscience or affective potential of children as humans and citizens who have character values, develop praiseworthy and consistent children's habits and behavior..

Abstract

Based on the results of the study, there is a positive and significant effect of teacher creativity on student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the value of tcount (4.783) > ttable 1.69389 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant effect of learning creativity variable on student learning outcomes. And the magnitude of the influence value seen from the output coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.43.3 or 43.3%. So it can be said that 43.3% of student learning outcomes are influenced by teacher creativity. While the remaining 56.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, such as the teacher's role, teacher motivation, teacher attention and so on

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) To determine parental guidance on reading interest of fourth grade students at SDK Ndona 2, Ndona District, Ende Regency. (2) This is to determine the reading interest of fourth grade students at SDK Ndona 2, Ndona District, Ende Regency after receiving guidance from parents. (3) To determine the effect of parental guidance on reading interest of fourth grade students in SDK Ndona 2, Ndona District, Ende Regency. This type of research used in this research is a type of quantitative correlation research with the research approach used is descriptive statistics. Research on the effect of parental guidance on students' reading interest was carried out at SDK Ndona 2, Ndona District, Ende Regency. The research subjects were all fourth grade students at SDK Ndona 2. The variables and indicators in this study were the independent variables or influence variables, namely parental guidance and the dependent variable or the affected variable, namely reading interest. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire) and documentation. The data analysis technique used in testing the hypothesis is the product moment correlation technique. The results of the research from the calculation of the correlation using the product moment correlation technique between the X and Y variables, namely the magnitude of the influence of parental guidance on reading interest from the results. The R Square value of 0.939 is between 0.80 - 1,000, so the effect of parental guidance on students' reading interest is very strong. . If interpreted as percentage it is 93.9% while the rest is 6.1% which is influenced by other factors outside the parental guidance variable. So the hypothesis which says that there is an effect of parental guidance on reading interest of grade IV students in SDK Ndona 2 is accepted. Thus it is suggested for parents of students to better supervise and take the time to guide students to learn to read at home and limit the playing hours of students so that more time is spent learning to read at home, so as to increase students' reading interest.

Abstract

Motoric skills are one of the human potential in this case learners are very important to be developed and empowered at all times along with the growth of humans themselves. To develop motor skills that are beneficial for learners, there needs to be a simple activity that is adjusted to the age and cognitive level of learners.  Training to make benches learn from used goods to learners, actually aims to use motor skills and direct learners to do simple activities but have a very positive impact on the growth and development of learners themselves.  This method of activity is a training that has several simple stages, ranging from providing explanations about the benefits of used goods and motor skills, learners are formed in groups in an organized manner, prepare materials and tools, then carry out tasks by utilizing tools and materials in making study benches. The result of this training activity is in the form of objects that are useful or have useful value, namely a simple learning bench in accordance with the creativity of learners and the achievement of the utilization of motor skills in a more useful direction for the learners themselves. Thus it can be concluded that the activities of this training can create enthusiasm in using the motor skills of learners early on, so that it can be one of the provisions for their survival.

Abstract

The objectives achieved in this research are to find out the use of think pair share type cooperative learning models in Social Studies learning of Artificial Appearance in Indonesia, to find out the increase in students' learning achievement by using cooperative learning models of think pair share type in SDI Ende 14 Ende Timur district, Ende Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research, with a qualitative approach to grade 5 students of SDI Ende 14. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, learning outcomes tests and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the evaluation of the first cycle with a percentage of completeness of 54% and an average of 57.45%, the results of the evaluation of the second cycle with a percentage of completeness of 100% with an average of 90%, the application of the cooperative learning model type think pair share with the material appearance made in Indonesia can improve student learning achievement.

Abstract

The responsibility of teachers as professional educators is imperative in carrying out their duties. To become professional teachers, elementary school teachers in cluster 3 of Ende sub-district feel the need to get enlightenment and scientific practice through training in the preparation of Classroom Action Research proposals, so that these teachers can create quality learning in the classroom. The method of this activity is in the form of training with stages starting from the presentation of the material by the resource team to the preparation of a Classroom Action Research proposal by the teachers. The results of this training show that on average the teachers are able to understand the concept of Classroom Action Research well with indicators that teachers can identify and determine the focus of research, determine learning strategies that are considered appropriate from relevant scientific literature, and can draft Classroom Action Research proposals. Thus this training activity has a positive impact on teacher professionalism in an effort to improve the competence of students in the classroom. For this reason, teachers are expected to continue to strive to carry out scientific activities, one of which is in the form of Classroom Action Research, so that teachers can morally continue to contribute to human resource development through the education sector.

Abstract

The communication media  as a work of human beings reason from time to time has a very rapidly progress together with the growth and the development of new innovations in the world of the digital technology. This progress is a  certainty that must be received by the human beings who are in a strong mind and conscience awareness that communication media is so sophisticated but remains as a means of the development of the human beings civilization. This awareness gradually can be expected to encourage human beings in order to place themselves appropriately as the subject of the  development of the communication media itself through a rational and an accurate filtering process against negative influences that can threaten with human beings civilization. One of the institutions is threatened with the negative  influences of the communicaton media is family. At first the family gets a respected  position as a socialization agent about the values of life is now experiencing decline of function as well as its role because the majority of the family members are now snared because of the negative influences of the communication  media. The sympathetic as well as the  empathetic atmosphere are used to be the first decoration in the  house and now  is just becoming a nice memory but sadden. The fascination  is too axtreme makes each of the family member of the communication media and finally appear some attitudes as well as behaviours that don,t go with the values of solidarity and the family as well. At last, this problem lets grow as well  as develop without striving for preventive and curative of the various social elements. This meant preparing a show of a destruction of the generation in the future. Therefore, the whole sides are expected to their involvement to be a foremost line in preventing efforts. On the basis, the Paroki St. Yosef Onekore is also moved at giving the basics  correct of comprehension to the parents in the catechetical activities  that the communication media is actually just a means of using it to proclaim the King of God.

Abstract

The pride of being a true Catholic has gone down and also has been the symptom among the Catholic students nowadays.  The feeling of the Catholicsm with various of special charachteristics and uniqueness has not enchanted and made the Catholic students proud anymore. They  were bored and were uninterested in reek of religion and spiritual  as well.  The Catholic students  should become chief action or chief moving spirit of the pivotal strength of the Church-life in the future, but to be  pitfallen slowly or step by step in the crisis of identity of the prolonged Catholicsm. This crisis was caused by their unability to have a certain attitude critically and wisely, accompanied by a gale made the values of secularism that shook various kinds of order belief of the Catholic that has been  handed down from one generation to the other. Let the situation has been walking without efforts to overcome it.  This condition perhaps  would like to destroy the future of the Catholic students. To reply the hindrances needed lots of people to participate actively to give guidance to the them in order to reach the right way. The institute of the highest education as well as the local church are a very important people who must be the right handmen  of them. Both of the institutions have to be one mind and sharing in the same struggle to make yourselves appearance or present yourselves as a shepherd to search, to find, and to guide them as the Lambs who have lost their ways to the right ways. The cooperation between two institutions must bear various kinds of contextual activities as well as useful for developing attitude and individuality of them in the future. The activity of spiritual guidance can be done in preparation Parish of St. Marinus Puu’rere is the result of a concern apprehensive together in order to hand them in order that in the middle of a tremendous storm attacking the  values of the terrific secularism, the catholic students remained  proud of and militant to spout the characteristic of their catholicsm as the light candle for a lot of people through thought, words, and acts which they have done.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the understanding of pedagogical competencies of elementary school teachers cluster V Nangapanda Sub-District, Ende Regency. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a population of 30 teachers. Samples are taken using proposive random sampling techniques. The method used to collect data is the questionnaire and its supporting data is collected using closed interview methods and documentation. The validity used is the validity of the content and analysis of the data used in this study is a quantitative descriptive percentage. The results of this study prove that in general the pedagogical competency of elementary school teachers cluster V Nangapanda Sub-District, Ende Regency is a high category. In more detail the pedagogical competencies are as follows: the first aspect is the understanding of insight or the foundation of education with a classic average value of 10.3 or 61.17%. The second aspect is the understanding of students with an average score of 14.1or 88.12%. The third aspect is the development of curriculum and syllabus with an average classical score of 8.3 or 69.44%. The fourth aspect is the design of learning with a classic average value of 14 or 87.71%. The fifth aspect is the implementation of educational and dialogueist learning with an average value of 16.7 or 84%. The sixth aspect is the utilization of learning technology with a classic average value of 9.13 or 57.07%. The seventh aspect is the evaluation of learning with an average score of 6.3 or 52.78%. The eighth aspect is the development of students to initialize their potential with an average value of 7.9 or 65.83%. Thus the pedagogical competency of elementary school teachers in cluster V nangapanda sub-district, Ende Regency, is in a high category.
