Abstract

One form of literary literacy in elementary schools is that students are able to write poetry. But in reality, students tend to have difficulty making poetry with certain themes. The reason is because teaching materials used were not able to lead students to carry out poetry writing activities well. Therefore, this study aims to develop teaching materials for writing poetry that is valid. The use of various creative techniques is expected to help students in expressing their ideas and imagination into verses of poetry. The research design uses Research and Development with the ADDIE development model. This model consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data to determine the level of validity of instructional materials obtained by expert validation and practitioner validation. Validation aspects of teaching materials include: (1) content feasibility aspects, (2) language aspects, (3) presentation aspects, and (4) graphical aspects. Research findings show that teaching materials for poetry writing based on creative techniques are declared valid with an average score of 3.59. Specifically, the scores obtained for each aspect are: (1) content feasibility 3.59, (2) language 3.45, (3) presentation 3.61, and (4) graphical 3.68.

Abstract

This research departs from the low writing of the narrative of the fourth grade students of the SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The low writing result is caused by learning method and instructional media used by the teacher. The purpose of this research is to describe the result of learning to write student narrative by using animated picture media. The research approach used is qualitative and quantitative approach. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of the study were teachers and fourth grade students of SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of students' narrative writing result from cycle I average score 69, 8 with 65% completeness to 75,4 with completeness 85%. This increase occurs because of an animated image that matches the character of fourth grade students of elementary school.Keywords: narrative text, animated picture media, elementary school

Abstract

                                        ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe an increase in student learning outcomes in Civics learning with the Social Problem Solving Model in class V 01 SDN VII Koto Talago Guguak Subdistrict. This type of research is Class Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research data from observations, test results and non-tests. Conducted in Semester I Academic Year 2018/2019. The research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and class V students as many as 20 people, namely 7 men and 13 female students. The results of the first cycle of research on lesson plans averaged 67.85% (sufficient), increasing in the second cycle to 89.3 % (well). The implementation of the first cycle on the aspect of the teacher averaged 80.55% (good), increased in the second cycle to 97.22% (very good). The implementation of the first cycle on the aspects of students on average 66.66% (sufficient), increased in the second cycle to 94.44% ( very good). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged 74.30 (enough), increased in the second cycle to 89.17 (good). Can be concluded Model Social Problem Solving shows an increase in student learning outcomes in Civics learning in class V Public Elementary School 01 VII Koto Talago District Guguak. Abstract

This study attempts to improve student learning process  in integrated thematic learning through used the of cooperative learning approach type think pair share (TPS) to the fourth grade students ofi SD Negeri 09 Parak Gadang Kecamatan Padang Timur. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. Conducted in two cycles, with three meetings covering four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.. This study was conducted at SD Negeri 09 Parak Gadang Kecamatan Padang Timur to 29 students. The results of speaking skill at the thinking stage of 57.8 (enought) to 57.8 ( Good). At the pair stage of  55.6  (enough) to 84,65  (Good). (3) The aspects of students of 53.3  (enaugh) to 81,4  ( Good). It can be concluded that the can improve the cooperative learning think pair share type (TPS)  integrated speaking skill in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research objective was to describe the improvement of comprehension reading ability using the Talking stick model of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 06 Piai Tangah, Kota Padang. Research subjects were researchers as practitioners and fourth grade students totaling 31 students consisting of 18 men and 13 women. In prabaca cycle I got an average score of 60.48, the average value when reading 66.53, and the average post-reading value 69.35. In cycle II the average score was 75.81, the average value when reading was 95.56, and the average post-reading value was 77.41. Abstract

Research subjects were teachers and 32 students in the 4th grade of Elementary School No. 34 Simpang Haru, Padang. This study is a classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the students’ ability in reading comprehension increased from 82,4 (Good) with 78,1% level of mastery in cycle I, to 90 (Very Good) with 95% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 7,6 %. Based on these results, it is concluded that the PORPE strategy can improve the ability of reading comprehension of the 4th grade students of Elementary School. Keywords: Reading comprehension ability; PORPE strategy

Abstract

         The purpose of the research was to describe an increase the student’s learning achievement on the broad trapezoid and kite in Elementary School by using CTL approach. The research subjects were teachers and fifth grade students of SDN 16 Padangkudo with 24 students consisting of 9 men and 25 women. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and test sheets in the form of questions. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis. The results showed an increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The results of the Cycle I RPP assessment average was 86.58% (good) and cycle II 92.85% (very good). The results of observations of teacher activities in the first cycle were 87.49% (good) and cycle II 96.42% (very good). Observation of the activities of students in the first cycle averages 78.57% (enough) and the second cycle 89.285. The percentage of learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged 77.92% (enough) and the second cycle 89.67% (good). It can be concluded that, the CTL approach can improve the learning outcomes of trapezoidal and kite class V students in SD N 16 Padangkudo Keyword  : Learning Achievement on the broad trapezoid and kite, CTL apporoach

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of students' speaking skills with a strategy of describing in class V SDN 09 Air Tawar, Padang City. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) using a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at SDN 09 Air Tawar, Padang City with a total of 27 students consisting of 11 male students and 16 female students. The observations of the learning design in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of success of 90.67% increasing in the second cycle to 96.87%. Then the results of observations on the activities of teachers in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of success of 75% increased in the second cycle to 89.28%. Furthermore, the results of observations on the activities of students in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of success of 78.57% and increased in the second cycle to 92.85%. Keywords: speaking skills, strategies to describe
