Abstract

The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of marketing strategy of the company’s performance and the role of competition environment in moderating the marketing strategy of the company’s performance. The MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) was used as the analyzing method. The result shows that there is a significant and positive effect of the marketing strategy of the company’s performance (r = 0, 912), and a significant and positive effect of the logistics competition environment of the company’s performance (r = 0, 955). The role of competition environment in moderating the negative relation between marketing strategy and company’s performance since the competition environment comes from outside and could threaten the company’s marketing and decrease the performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the corruption perception index and business risk on the growth of sea transport companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2013 - 2017. The growth of the open sea transport companies has decreased. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the company’s growth. The main focus of this research is the effect of the corruption perception index mediated by business risk to the company’s growth. The study was using quantitative method with a path analysis approach. The total samples from secondary data was 65 observations from 13 companies with a 5-year observation period taken by purposive sampling technique. The study shows that there is a positive effect of business risk on the company’s growth, therefore, to increase the company’s growth, the company should increase their business risk.

Abstract

PT Mustika Alam Lestari is a container loading and unloading service at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta. The service prioritizes on the customers’ needs, by having competent operational employees and available loading and unloading equipment,  so that the berthing time is well achieved. This study aims to analyze the effect of operational employee competency and loading and unloading equipment on berthing time. The research method used was descriptive verification with data analysis using multiple linear regressions. Primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires with 61 people as the samples from operational division employees at PT Mustika Alam Lestari, Jakarta. The result of this research is the success in berthing time is the integration of operational employees’ competence and loading and unloading equipment. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that operational employees’ competence and loading equipment show a positive and significant effect on berthing time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of shipping safety in the Singapore Strait Shipping Channel, which is the Working Area of the Class I Navigation District of Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands, Indonesia. With the increasing number of ships passing through the Singapore Strait, thus requiring Sailing-Navigation Assistance Facilities which are in line with the development of management and technology of Sailing-Navigation Assistance Facilities. The research method uses qualitative descriptive evaluation research methods and formal legality analysis, namely conducting an evaluation in the Singapore Strait in the Working Area of the Class I Navigation District of Tanjung Pinang. Observations by conducting observations in the waters of the Malacca Strait, interviews with Regulators, Operators and Service Users as well as conducting Focus Group Discussions and documentation related to shipping safety. From the three data sources, the findings of the e-Navigation study explain that it is effective to improve shipping safety in the Singapore Strait by implementing Virtual AIS AtoN. Regulations of a technical nature are indispensable for the implementation of e-Navigation in improving shipping safety

Abstract

This research aims to measure service quality and timeliness which has an impact on passenger loyalty and passenger satisfaction on the Argo Parahyangan train. Some problems, such as the frequency of use of the Bandung-Jakarta Argo Parahyangan Railway transportation services, have not shown a minimum limit every weekend. There is still a difference between the departure and actual arrival of the Argo Parahyangan train against the schedule that has been set. The arrangement of the operating plan has not been maximized due to limited facilities. Research with a sample of 89 respondents and data analysis method using the method of path analysis. The results show that passenger satisfaction can mediate the indirect effect of service quality on passenger loyalty. Passenger satisfaction is able to mediate the indirect effect of punctuality on passenger loyalty. The key finding of this research is the perception of passengers who feel they have never received other services as comfortable as rail transportation and state that they will not switch to using rail transportation.
