Abstract

A comparative study of the use of marine and land modes of transportation of goods, aiming to get the value ofgoods transport which is more economical, especially in Java. The output from this study can be used asstepping and the consideration for the government in planning the transport infrastructure of goods and assistemployers to make decisions in order to utilize the mode of transport of goods/ containers that will be marketed.There are many modes of transport that can be utilized in the transportation of goods, namely land modes:Railway containers, trucks/ trailer containers, marine modes: container ship, barge and container ship, RoRocontainer and trailer / truck, so it is necessary for technical and economic studies to assess the transport ofgoods by means of which one is more economical.The results of this study, is the most economical freight rate is the mode of sea transportation of container bargethat only Rp. 13,028,845.93 / TEU (Rp. 651,4/kg).

Abstract

Domination of Foreign ship armada in trading activity of exsport/import and interisland in Indonesia,couse deficit state 99 trilium rupiah per year. The national shipping armada can not serve sea transportto support commercial activity. They have not provides enough ship armada capacity for tradingcommodity, and dosent enaugh funding development of new ship armada, so that national armada freightcapacity always downwards along increasingly ship age. Economic from transportation sector of seawhich capital intensive, labour intensive and high tech, requires a policy of government which insubvention with funding especially from banking sector and finance companies non bank. It is requiredmodel or funding pattern which to support the sector, expected later national ship armada can transportall commerce commodity of exsport/import and interisland in country

Abstract

Operational of ship influences the running cost. A old ship, day by day cash cost are higher with ageing machinery requiring constant maintenance, a rusty hull requiring regular steel replacement and high fuel oil consumption. Fuel cost are 30-45 % all of running cost. with integrated between propeller and rudder to optimum ship propulsion and manoeuvering to reduce 4-9% vessel’s fuel oil consumption and energy efficiency

Abstract

Mohd Ridwan, in this paper explain that new replacement main engine and propeller ship needs to be done with technical economic considerations. Main engine maintenance costs that have entered the age of 15 years improved each annualy, and fuel consumption increases. So that needs to be done renovations main engine by selecting the main engine in accordance with the propeller or propeller can also perform renovations. Abstract

Mohd Ridwan, in this paper explain that traditional fishing vessels built in the shipyard of the people is a cultural heritage which needs to be conserved, and empowered through the application of ship science and technology to build fishing boats for fishermen of all types, shapes and sizes of ships, equipped with fishing technology. Repairs to the feasibility of traditional fishing vessels to sail like stability, ship construction needs to be done. Similarly, his case should be applied to ship propulsion technology that remained operational needs based on size of vessel forms and types of fishing vessels. The design of an appropriate propulsion can provide benefits in the form of operational cost savings by more than 10% through the use of hybrid propulsion systems. Hybrid propulsion system is a mix of main engine (motor fuel or gas fuel MDO) with electric motor and propeller to suit the use of hull form and ship propulsion systems (matching the propeller and engine) is at the core of this concept in this article and next to be research. Besides these traditional ship the product to be supported primarily by imposing government standards for a fishing vessel, for fishermen as users can easily calculate the economic value of investment will they planted in fishing effort at sea. Keywords : Fishing Boat Traditional, Hybrid Propulsion, Main Engine, Propeller, Operatinal Cost.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all levels of society in Indonesia, including coastal communities in the city of Semarang. This community service program is carried out to create hand washing tools without the need to turn the water tap to support a new lifestyle in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is still a lot in the city of Semarang. Washing hands with soap is part of adapting a new habit after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world. The method that we use is the manufacture of hand washing tools with a tread system by students of the marine construction engineering engineering technology study program at the Undip vocational school and hand over the equipment to the management of the Perpustakaan Pesisir Teratai 414 in Tambak Mulya, North Semarang District. The method used in this program is the design and manufacture of hand washing equipment with a stomp mechanism. The results of this program show that the community around the library is easier to move there without worrying about not being able to carry out the health protocol, which is to always wash their hands. With the implementation of this program, we can see that the need for the provision of hand washing equipment with a tread system is very high to face this critical period.

Abstract

Mohd Ridwan, Eko Yulianto, in paper competency of naval architecture diploma program on Indonesian maritime industry explain that Shipbuilding engineering professionals is part of the leading maritime industry is expected to become the motor of development of national maritime fleet in the implementation of cabotage (Impres No.5, 2005), this will reduce foreign exchange spending nearly 99 trillion rupiah per year due to the use of foreign fleets, and the creation of new jobs as a supporter of the maritime industry. So the presence of workers who have competence in the field of shipbuilding (ship building, naval architecture, marine engineering enginerring and maritime transportation) is urgently needed and their capability to compete with other countries that previously controlled the sea as a source of national income should be the Indonesian government's attention. Abstract

The PKUM scheme service activities for the Iron Pande Industry Group are carried out to improve the quality of production and export-based management. There are dozens of large, medium and small scale iron pande industries in Rejosari Pakis Magelang in Central Java and one of them is a member of the Mijil Karya group. The development of facilities for members of the iron pane industry is aimed at increasing the capacity / productivity and quality of iron pane products and carved bamboo furniture. And to achieve the capacity and quality of local content-based iron products and with local and national market share (exports), the service team prepares work steps or service activities including deepening company management management, especially in the flow of materials or goods and finance, deepening of improvements and improvements production units, deepening the improvement and refinement of local and national scale marketing (exports), completing showrooms to support marketing, implementation in partner industries and formulating indicators of success. In principle, a seated drilling machine consists of a leg or a base, an electric motor, a table, a power transmission, a hand-feed lever, a vise, a clamp set, an anvil (parallel block), a chuck, a reduction case, an opening peg, a boring head and a eye drill. Testing of drill tools with brass material showed an increase in drill feeding speed and effective drilling time at 1400 rpm. Meanwhile, testing of drilling tools using Cast Iron ST 20 also shows that it is effective at 960 rpm

Abstract

Material yang paling dominan dalam pembuatan kapal ikan adalah kayu. Sebagai daerah sentra pembuatan kapal ikan, Kabupaten Batang memiliki potensi untuk mendirikan galangan kapal ikan. Mayoritas penduduk di Kecamatan Karangasem bekerja sebagai nelayan. Untuk itu, perlu adanya suatu penyuluhan mengenai teknik pembuatan kapal ikan dengan kayu laminasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan gambaran berupa metode pembuatan kapal ikan dengan teknik laminasi, memberikan masukan kepada para pekerja di galangan kapal kayu tentang keselamatan kerja selama proses pembuatan kapal, memberikan pengetahuan kepada para pekerja dan warga setempat tentang aplikasi penggunaan metode laminasi dalam pembuatan kapal ikan. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengetahuan tepat guna yang diimplementasikan dalam masyarakat, publikasi pada media jurnal mengenai kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang pembuatan kapal ikan berbahan kayu dengan teknik laminasi.
