Abstract

Background: Good food selection is very important. It will help in efforts to prevent diseases such as Covid-19. Objective: To analyze the effect of Covid-19 pandemic to consumption habits of fruit, milk and multivitamin among adults in Jambi Province Methods: This research is a type of survey research conducted in April 2020. Data collection was carried out using Google forms. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. The sample is adults aged 19-59 years totaling 254 people. Data were analyzed using wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed that before the covid-19 pandemic most respondents had the habit of consuming fruits, milk and multivitamins which were classified as rare, after the existence of the Covid-19 pandemic it was classified as frequent. There was an influence of the covid-19 pandemic on fruit, milk and multivitamin consumption habits (p <0.001). Conclusion: There is an effect of the Covid-19 pandemic to the consumption habits of fruit, milk and multivitamins in adults in Jambi Province.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to develop a balanced diet index (BDI) in relation to nutritional quality of the diet (NQ) in Indonesian adult females. This study used food consumption data from the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) of 2010. The food consumption data were collected using 24-h food recall method through a cross-sectional study. Total subject of this study was 61,759 adult females19—55 years. The NQ of 16 nutrients was used as a gold standard in the validity testing. The results showed that the simplest and the most valid measurement was BDI3-60 (correlation coefficients with the NQ=0.7) which was based on three levels of scoring system (0, 5, and 10) and six food groups (carbohydrate food sources, animal protein food, plant protein food, vegetable, fruit, and milk), without considering fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. The mean score of BDI3-60 was 31.0±12.1.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze factors affected fish consumption of Indonesian women. This research design was a cross-sectional referred to the Basic Health Research in 2010, conducted by the Health Institute for Research and Development The Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Objects of this study were women within 19-55 years old. The variabel such as nutritional status, social economy and fish consumption were analysed using logistic regression method. The analysis showed that the consumption of fish protein accounted for 19.1 g/day or 82% of total animal protein intake in women subjected in this research, however thisconsumption only met 34% requirement of protein per day. The average of body mass index of the women was 23.2 ± 4.0 kg/m2 and was categorized as normal nutritional status. Positive relationship was found between fish consumption, intake of fat, and nutritional status. The consumption of fish was affected by marital status and economic status. Women with marital status had 1.13 times higher likelihood to consume fish than unmarried women. Economic status also determined fish consumption volume.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada masa baduta penting untuk mendapatkan perhatian serius dan dikuasai oleh kader posyandu sebagai garda terdepan pengukuran tumbuh kembang anak di masyarakat. Pengukuran tumbuh kembang perlu dilakukan secara berkala agar menjadi acuan bagi upaya peningkatan pertumbuhan dan stimulasi perkembangan anak. Masih kurangnya pengetahuan, keahlian, dan motivasi kader posyandu dalam pengukuran tumbuh kembang anak menjadi permasalahan dalam optimalisasi tumbuh kembang anak. Tujuan: meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi kader posyandu dalam pengukuran tumbuh kembang anak. Metode: Kegiatan dalam pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi dengan media berupa powerpoint, modul, dan alat pengukuran tumbuh kembang anak (timbangan berat badan anak, lenghtboard, meteran, pita LILA, dan kit pengukuran perkembangan). Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama enam bulan di Desa Srikamulyan, Kab. Karawang, Prov. Jawa Barat. Hasil: Telah dilaksanakannya pelatihan kader terkait pengukuran tumbuh kembang baduta melalui diskusi dan praktik langsung terhadap 30 orang kader posyandu. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan pelatihan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi kader posyandu dalam pengukuran tumbuh kembang baduta, namun demikian masih diperlukan monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap keberlanjutan pengukuran tumbuh kembang yang dilakukan kader terhadap anak baduta serta upaya kader untuk memberikan edukasi pada orangtua. Abstract

Children under two years is a golden period of growth and development that determines the quality of health at later age. One of the nutritional factors, in addition to breast milk, which determines the nutritional status of under-two children is complementary feeding with the principles of nutritious and safety, it must also be available locally and affordable prices. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, attitudes and skills of cadres in processing and providing complementary feeding to children. This activities include: focus group discussions related to malnutrition problems, causes and solutions by involving puskesmas, PKK, and village government; and training on processing and providing complementary feeding based on local wisdom to cadres. The results of this community service activity showed that there wassignificant differences in the cadres’s knowledge in processing and providing complementary feeding compared to before training activity (test scores from 67.59 to 75.38). Cadre training in processing and providing complementary feeding needs to be carried out sustainably as an effort to improve the nutritional status of under-two children.

Abstract

 Indonesia is still facing the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as Jambi Province. Dwi Karya Bhakti Village is one of the villages located in Pelepat District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province and become community health target area of UPT Puskesmas (community health centre) Rantau Keloyang. Prevention of Covid-19 can be done by implementing balanced nutrition behavior in the community which consists of four pillars of balanced nutrition, namely: eating variety of foods, clean and healthy lifestyle, physical activity, and monitoring normal body weight (BB). This community service aimed to increase PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) cadres’s knowledge and skill as part of implementing family balanced nutrition behavior. These projects include: focus group discussions related to community nutrition problems, causes, and solutions by involving puskesmas, PKK cadres, and village governments; and also education and practice of balanced nutrition to 15 PKK cadres. The results of this community service showed that there is difference in the knowledge of PKK cadres in the application of balanced nutrition behavior compared to before participating in mentoring (test score from 84.7 to 93,3). The implementation of balanced nutrition behavior in the family need to be continued as one of the efforts to prevent Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption patterns, parity, and physical activity with the incidence of anemia in women of childbearing age in the Remote Indigenous Community of Tribe Children in the Terap River Basin, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. This research method is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The results showed that the prevalence of anemia in the respondents amounted to 64.7 percent. As many as 61.8 percent and 88.2 percent of respondents rarely consume animal and vegetable protein foods. Meanwhile, 73.5 percent of respondents often consume vegetables and fruit. More than half of the respondents (64.7%) have parity data of 3 people. A total of three-quarters of respondents (76.5%) have physical activity in the heavy category. In conclusion, there is a relationship between the consumption of fruit and vegetables and physical activity with the incidence of anemia in women of childbearing age. Abstract

  Water treatment installation is a part that moves in the water treatment process which of course has various problems that exist related to the occurrence of an accident or occupational disease in the process. Therefore, it is necessary to identify hazards, risk assessments, risk analysis, and recommend controls to prevent the occurrence of things that can cause work accidents and occupational diseases. The purpose of this study is to find out what hazards can potentially cause work accidents and occupational diseases at the Water Treatment Plant at Perumda Tirta Pengabuan. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with observation and interview methods. The informants in this study were 8 respondents from the Water Treatment Plant. Then the results would be analyzed qualitatively, namely reduction, display, and conclusion. Indicates that the Water Treatment Plant has implemented the K3 program but has not been fully implemented. Through the identification of hazards in 10 activities, several types of hazards were found, namely, physical or mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, biological hazards, and ergonomic hazards. Furthermore, the identified hazards are grouped into high, medium, and low risks. It is necessary to add personal protective equipment, make repairs to parts that pose a risk of danger, as well as conduct counseling and training for workers at the Water Treatment Plant.

Abstract

Pembetukan kader remaja sadar gizi bertujuan untuk pencegahan penyakit infeksi yang sering kali terjadi pada usia remaja karena kebiasaan makan sembarangan dan tidak teratur. Dengan terbentuknya kader remaja sadar gizi ini santriwati di pondok pesantren Al-Khairaat diharapkan dapat lebih menjaga makanan yang dikonsumsinya. Sehingga, penyakit infeksi seperti diare dan lainya tidak terjadi pada santriwati. Kegiatan PKM ini bekerjasama dengan pondok pesantren Al-Khairat Kelurahan Pengasinan Bekasi timur. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 34 santriwati, kegiatan ini meliputi pre test, kemudaian dilakukan pelatihan gizi dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan post tes. Didapatkan hasil peningkatan pada nilai post tesnya cukup signifikan setelah dilakukan pelatihan sadar gizi.
