Abstract

Direction of this research to increase motivation and biology of student class VIII3 SMPN 1 Rimba Melintang by study method of QSH. This research is class attacted was carried out on November until Desember 2011. The subject of this research are students class VIII3 SMP N 1 Rimba Melintang with total students is 37 persons, which compound at 14 male and 23 female. Parameter this research is study of motivation, evaluation students and teacher activity. The mean of motivation before class attacted by cycle I were 3,11 (medium category), and after class attacted by cycle increase to 3,65 (medium category) with 17,36% of persentase, then in the cycle II, motivation score increase to 3,95% (high category), with 27,01% of persentase. Reserve capacity students increased in cycle I with mean 70,54 (sufficient category), and cycle II with mean 77,70 (good category). The study completable of student increase to 83,78% in sycle I and 94,59% in cycle II. Student activity were increase from 73,98 (sufficient category) in cycle I to 84,46 (good category) in sycle II. And the teacher activity were crease from 95% (good) in sycle I to 100% (the best) in sycle II. The conclution of this research are using method QSH in process study can increase motivation and evaluation study of biology student class VIII3 SMP N 1 Rimba Melintang years lesson 2011/2012Keywords : Evaluation, Method QSH, Study motivation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of study was to know the instruments are made of authentic assessment VII grade teacher for science learning material energy in living systems at the junior Babussalam Pekanbaru. Research conducted at the University Campus Biology Education FKIP Riau in August-September 2015. The subject of this study is made of authentic assessment instruments seventh grade teacher for science learning smaterial energy in living systems. How to analyze authentic assessment instruments which have been created by a teacher is to use assessment indicators. Indicator assessment made in accordance with the demands of the curriculum in 2013 for each competency. Competence of knowledge (cognitive) using indicators to assess the test instrument is written in narrative form, the competence of the attitude (affective), using indicators to assess the observations while competency skills (psychomotor) using indicators to assess the performance of the instrument. Results of the analysis instrument authentic assessment made classroom teachers VII for science learning material energy in living systems at the junior Babussalam Pekanbaru to note that the competence of knowledge (cognitive) for the written test in narrative form classified in sufficient criteria to the percentage of 61%, competence, attitudes (affective) assessment classified themselves in less criteria with 59% and the percentage of observations fall into the criteria very well with the percentage of 83% while the competency skills (psychomotor) for assessing performance in both criteria once classified with a percentage of 83%. Key words:Authentic assessment, IPA, junior high school

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activity and student learning outcomes biology class VIIIa SMPN 2 Logas Tanah Darat through the implementation of cooperative learning model of Type Inside Outside Circle (IOC). This research was classroom action research conducted in NovemberDecember 2011. Subjects were students in grade VIIIa SMPN 2 Logas Tanah Darat land totaling 24 students, consisting of 12 male students and 12 female students. The parameters in this study is, student activities, teacher activities and student learning outcomes. Student activities that increase of 86.01% (very good) on a cycle I increased to 96.35% (very good category) in the second cycle. And activities that teachers have increased from 94.45% (very good) on a cycle I to 100% (very good) in the second cycle. Absorptive capacity of students also increased, the cycle I with an average of 68.54% (category enough), the second cycle with an average of 75.20% (both categories). Thoroughness of student learning has increased with the percentage of completeness in the cycle I was 83.33% and 95.83% the second cycle. Appreciation group on the cycle I have 2 groups and 4 groups predicated predicated super great, whereas in the second cycle 5 and a great group predicated predicated super group. From the research results can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model of Type Inside Outside Circle (IOC) can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students Biology class VIIIa SMPN 2 Logas Tanah Darat Lessons Year 2011/2012.Keywords: Activities, cooperative learning model type Inside Outside Circle (IOC), Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This Research aim to increase result and activity learn student by using model study of co-operative of picture and picture at class of XI Science SMA N 1 Ukui school year 2009-2010. This research represent research of class action, done in May 2010. Research Subject is class student of XI Science SMAN 1 Ukui amounting to 21 people, consist of 10 men and 11 women. With research parameter : student activity, result of learning and teacher activity. Activity student mean at first cycle that is 78,41% (good) and 82,28% (good) at Second cycle. Mean Absorpsion student at first cycle , first meeting owning mean 78,33 ( good),second meeting that is 73,16 (enough),third meeting that is 76,19 (good), and daily restating mean 72,47 (enough). At second cycle,first meeting owning mean 76,5 (good),second meeting that is 81,5 (good) and daily restating mean that is 78,1 (good). Complete learn student at second cycle is 85,7% (very good) and 95 % (very good) at second cycle. Appreciation of group first cycle there is 1 group of with super predicate. and 3 group of predicate, while at second cycle all group have excitement predicate. The rate actitivity is 96,96% (very good) and 100% (very good) at second cycle. From result of research can be concluded that usage of model study of co-operative of picture and picture can improve result and activity learn class student biology of XI Science SMA N Ukui in the year.

Abstract

This research is a research which is aimed to improve students scientific behavior and biology studying achievement by implementing guided inqury learning strategy in class VIII7 SMPN 14 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2012/2013. This research was conducted in October-November 2012. The subject of this research was student of class VIII7 of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru. The number of students was 32 students (15 boys and 17 girls). The Parameter was students scientific behaviour that consist of 7 indicators and students studying achievement consisted of comprehension ability, students passing individually and teachers activities. The average of students behaviour in cycle 1 was 77.78% (moderate) increased in cycle 2 in the average of 86.99% (good). Students comprehension ability in cycle 1 was 77.84% (moderate) increased became 83.21% (moderate). The students passing studying in cycle 1 was 59.38% (pass) increased in cycle 2 became 81.25% (pass). Average of teachers activities in cycle 1 was 90.62% (good) increased in cycle 2 became 100% (very good). From the result of this research it can be concluded that the implementation of guided inquiry can improve the students scientific behaviour and students biology studying achievements in class VIII7 SMPN 14 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2012/2013.Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Scientific Behaviour, Biology Studying Achiement.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze student's metacognition skill profiles atSMPN 23 Pekanbaru academic year 2014/2015. This research was performed on 17th to 28th November 2014. The sample in this research is class VIII as many as 108 students were selected through stratified sampling technique. The data collection instruments used were a closed questionnaire and interview. The whole point questionnaire covered otherwise valid and reliable. The collected data were analyzed descriptive. Picture of student’s metacognition skills of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru obtained as follows: metacognition abilities of students in designing learning strategies (Planning) has developed differently with a score of metacognition 73, metacognition skills of students in selecting and using learning strategies ( Management Strategies) developed very well expressed by a score of metacognition 81, the ability to monitor student’s metacognition learning strategies (Monitoring) has developed differently with a score of metacognition 73, student’s metacognition skills in combining different learning strategies (Debugging) expressed always very good with metacognition score of 81 in the assessment of the ability of metacognition learning strategies student’s (Evaluation) declared progressing well with a score of 79. Overall, the metacognition scores of students is 77, then student’s metacognition skill profiles of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru class VIII in Biology Science Education declared the school year 2014/2015 is growing very well. Key words: profile of student metacognition skill, junior high school, sainsBiology learning

Abstract

This researh aims to determine the perceptions of lecturers towards integration MKB Character Education in Biology Faculty of Teacher Education Program University of Riau. The research was conducted in May-August 2012. The parameters of this research are the perception and understanding lecturers. The data technique collecting is closed questionaires and open questionnaires to determine lecturer perceptions of the character education and tests to determine lecturer understanding. Enclosed questionaire consisted of two indicators: (1) character education with 4 sub-indicators and (2) implementation of character education with 2 sub-indicators. Comprehension test has two indicators: (1) character education with 5 sub-indicators and (2) development of character education with 3 sub-indicators. The data technique analyze are descriptive analyze.Keywords: Character Value, MKB, Perception.
