Abstract

Abstract :This research aimed to improve creative thinking skill and student’s achievement of student class VII Hang Tuah SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru by implementation Problem Based Learning model. It had been done in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru on April-May 2016. Parameters measure were student’s creative thinking skill, studen’t achievement and student’s attitude. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation Problem Based Learning model. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation sheet and creative thinking skill sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that creative thinking skill on first cycle was 86,89 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 96,19 (A). Student’achievement on first cycle was 90,62 (B) and increased on second cycle up to 96,48 (A). Classical completeness percentage on both of cycle was 100%. Student’s attitude on first cycle was 87,45 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 93,14 (B). It can be conclude that Problem Based Learning model can improve creative thingking skill and student’s achievement of student class VII Hang Tuah SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Problem Based Learning, Creative Thinking Ability, Student’s Achievement

Abstract

Abstrack: The use of growth regulators in one way to accelerate plant growth and develoment. Growth regulators that are naturally present in plants are auxin, geberelin, cytikinin, abscisic acid, and ethylene. Auxin hormone is a hormone that regulates root growth in plants, can be produced by plants or added from outside (exogenous hormone). This reseach was conducted to determine the concentration of natural growth regulators onion extract which can show the best concentration of root growth and shoots on stem cutting as a design for high school biological handout teaching materials. This reseach used an experimen method with a complete randomized design (RAL) consisting of 6 treatments and 4replications, so that a total of 24 treatments were obtained. The parameters observeb in this reseach incleded the percentage of live cuttings, age of shoots, number of shoots, shoot length, and primary root length. Based on the analysis of variance (ANAVA) at the level 5%, the administartion of shallot extract significantly affected each treatment and it wasfound that concentration of 80% was the best teratment for the parameter age of shoots, number of shoots, shoot length, and primary root length.Kata Kunci: Growth Regulator, Shallot (Allium cepa L.), Auxin, Rose Plant.

Abstract

Abstract : Tempe is a food produced by a simple fermentation technique by Rhizopus oligosporus. During this tempe on the market only the soy-based. While the last few years soybean production in Indonesia continues to decrease and not able to meet the needs. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the manufacture of tempe that uses other raw materials whose nutritional value is not inferior to the tempe of soybean such as jackfruit seeds. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the old boiling effect on the quality of Tempe seed of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) tempe and the result of this research can be used for the development of LKS SMA of Conventional Biotechnology material. This research consists of 2 stages, namely the first stage, making tempe while the second stage of LKS development from the research. This research was done using experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) which consist of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The result of this research is concluded that in terms of content, protein content and fat content and organoleptic, K2 treatment is a good time in making tempe at Protein content while in the K4 treatment a good time in making tempe at fat content with 75 minutes boiling duration. The results of the research can be developed as LKS SMA Conventional Biotechnology material.Keywords: Tempe, jackfruit seed, conventional biotechnology, LKS.

Abstract

Abstract: Research it’s done to know the quality of the final semester exam made by the science teacher of junior high school all sub-districts Tambang regency Kampar lesson year 2017/2018. This research was implemented in June-November 2018 in the Study of Biology University of Riau. Research uses a survey method with type cross sectional design. The sample is selected of purposive sampling that consists of the even semester exam and the answer sheet of class students VII in Junior High School of 2 Tambang, Junior High School of 4 Tambang and Junior High School of 5 Tambang. The parameters in this research are a quantitative analysis consisting of the difficulty level, the power of the criterion, the function of distraktor, validity and reliability. Based on the result of quantitative analysis by using anatest version 4.10 shows that 38 questions received without repair (31,66%), 81 questions need repair (67,5%) and 1 questions being replaced (0,83%). Based on the analysis of the research result indicate that about the final semester exam made by the science teacher of junior high school all sub-districts Tambang has quality about less goodKeywords: The Analysis of the test question, Final Exam, IPA

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the quality of scientific literacy competency test on biology knowledge instrument. This research is a development research using ADDIE model with stages which are analyzed, design, and development. During the process, this research is divided into two stages, namely research and development. The research phase includes needs analysis, design, and instrument development. The development stage includes validation to obtain validity by validator, first trial, and second trial. The subjects in this study is the questions of scientific literacy that has been tested in PISA 2006. Instruments used to collect data are validation sheet and scientific literacy competence test questions that have been designed. Validation is done to see the validity of competence test instrument of scientific literacy that is developed, while the test result aims to know the quality of the realibility, difficulty level, distinguishing power, and distractor function. The result of the research shows that the scientific literacy competency test on biology knowledge designed has already qualified with valid category. This instrument then can be used as a training material for senior high school students, especially in Riau Province, to improve their scientific literacy skills.Key Words: Design, instrument, scientific literacy

Abstract

Abstract: Aims of this research is determine the effectivity of the addition of cow feses in liquid waste out as a raw material for biogas to the development of biotechnology handout on the concept of class XII High School in January 2016 to March 2016. The research was carried out by two stages, experimentation and development handouts. Research experiments conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replications. If there is a real test there will be a further test Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level, while the development of handout done using ADDIE models. Parameters used include volume, pH, temperature, and the test flame. The addition of cow manure in liquid waste out effectively in the production of biogas. Treatment B3 (1500 ml liquid waste out + 1200 ml of cow dung) to be most successful in generating biogas, which can produce biogas volume of 8.44 liters and has a blue flame. The results of this study can be used as a handout development by showing category invalid (3.88) on the concept of biotechnology sub class XII High School in the field of biotechnology breeding material.Key Words: Cow Dung, Tofu Liquid Waste, Biogas , Handouts , Biotechnology

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the level of scientific literacy textbooks of biology class X. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis method or document. Population in this research is all textbook of biology of class X X 2013 Curriculum used in Pekanbaru City and sample is textbook of biology curriculum 2013 class X Irnaningtyas work of publisher of Erlangga selected by purposive sampling technique. The research data is obtained from the results of the scientific literacy analysis of textbooks using the assessment instrument based on four dimensions of scientific literacy, namely science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigation and interaction of science and technology society. The stages of the analysis are divided into two stages: the feasibility phase of the textbook of biology lesson and the analysis of the scientific literacy level of biology textbooks. Data analysis using descriptive statistics method. The result of data analysis shows that the most dominant dimension is science as the body of knowledge with the percentage score of 52.77%, the dimension of science as a way of thinking of 20.43%, the dimensions of science as the way of investigation of 15.40% and the dimensions of science technology interaction and the community 10.94%. Overall the level of scientific literacy of textbooks of biology class X has an average of 25% with the category less good.Key words : Literacy, Scientific Literacy, Biology Textbook.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills on quality material for the interaction of living things with their environment in class VII junior high school. This research was carried out at the Biology Educations Laboratory of Teacher Training and Educations, University of Riau and the state junior high school 1 Pekanbaru in October 2020- January 2021. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE’S research model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this research, it is limited only to the development stage. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets and questionnaires of respondens. The results of the validation of student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills are at an average value of 3.68 with a very valid category. The results of the limited test score are 3.64 with a very good category. Thus, student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills in the material on the interaction of living things with their environment class VII junior high school has been successfully developed with a very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.Key Words: Student Worksheets, Multiple Intelegences, Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to develop a guided inquiry-based practicum guidebook for teachers in teaching biology at the first year of senior high school students. It was conducted in September 2018 to January 2019. It Used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with Analysis Design Development Implement and Evaluations) model. This research was carried out to stage three, namely the depelopment stage. The data were obtained by both external, The external validation by one teacher of SMAN Plus and one teacher of SMAN Olahraga Pekanbaru. And internal validator which continued by limited trials. The trial I was tried on 10 student of the fourth semester of FKIP Biology UNRI and the trial II was tried on 20 Biology subject teacherswho joined the MGMP. Beside that, the phase II was carried out at the center of the SMA/MA Biology MGMP in Pekanbaru City. The book is validated based on four indicators, namely: book format and graphics, illustrations and pictures, language, and content eligibility. The overall results of the validation obtained an average of 3,50 with very valid categories. The results of the limited trial phase I have an average of 3,44 with very good categories and the results of the limited trial phase II have an average of 3,36 with very good categories. The book produced in this study has a very valid and very good categories so that the practicum guidebook can be implemented on a field scale.Key Words: Practicum guidebook, Quided Inquiry, Biology learning

Abstract
