Abstract

Abstract: Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a conceptual framework that shows the relationship between the three realms of knowledge required by the teacher: technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and content knowledge. The purpose of this research is to develop a workbook for the strengthening of content knowledge for science teachers of SMP. The workbook was developed from the essential indicator of Teacher Competency Test (UKG). Stage design, development, internal validation and simulation workbook trials conducted in Biology Education Laboratory FKIP University of Riau. External validation and limited trials were conducted at MGMP IPA Pekanbaru City. Workbooks are validated with four aspects of technology knowledge ie format, content, illustrations, and language. The result of the validation of all aspects shows that the workbook is in a very valid category. Workbooks can be used as learning resources by teachers to improve the professional competence of teachers in teaching and learning.Key Word : Science for SMP, Content Knowledge, Workbook

Abstract

Have been done by research of action Class to increase result and motivation learn Biology byapplying model study of type co-operative Jigsaw III at class student one SMAN 4 Pekanbaru in apriluntil mei 2004. The research subject is class student 17 with amount 43 people. Parameter themeasured is result learn student, complete learn, activity learn motivation and student learn. Resultlearn cycle of 17 mean 74.23 % mounting, at cycle II mean 80.35 %. Complete learn cycle of I is 76.74% (is not complete), at cycle of II is 93.02 % (is complete), for the activity of student at group comefrom at cycle of I mean 75.12 % and mount to become 85.47 % at cycle of II. Activity expert group55.47% at cycle of I and 64.52% at cycle of II. Motivation learn student biology at cycle student of Inatural is make-up of with percentage mean of is make-up of motivation 35.77% and mean score 2.80.At cycle of II natural is make-up of with percentage mean is make-up of motivation 8.10% and meanscore 3.03. From result of research can be concluded that applying of study of type co-operative ofJigsaw III can improve result, motivation and activity learn class student 17 SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to describe performance of the of Junior High School science MGMP’s members in Pekanbaru on profession development. This study held on November 2016 until April 2017. The sample of this study was 50 person science MGMP’s members of Junior High School in Pekanbaru that selected by their activeness in following the MGMP’s activities. This study conducted with closed-ended and open–ended questionnaire. The closed-ended questionnaire consist of 30 items and divided into 4 indicator. The indicator are motivation, creativities, self efficacy and attitude, and 5 open-ended questionnaire as supporting data. The whole item questionnaire enclosed declared valid and reliable. Closed questionnaire of teachers performance was tested through Pearson correlation test, where all items declared valid. Reliability test through Cronbach's alpha test, was obtained 0.896 and showed the good criteria. Validity and reliability test were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Studies) version 18.00 for Windows. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result, the performance of science MGMP’s members Senior High School in Pekanbaru in profession development showed good criteria with 4,07 in average, which details as follows: Motivation showed good criteria with 4,02 in average, creativity showed good criterion with 3,90 in average, self efficacy showed good criterion with 4,09 in average, and attitude showed very good criterion 4,29 in average. Finally, it is known that the performance of Junior High School science MGMP’s members in Pekanbaru in profession development is being good on category.Key words: Teacher’s Performance, MGMP’s science, teacher profession.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of composting on planting media with the addition of EM-4 to the growth of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) and produce learning resources in the form of learning videos in class XII high school biotechnology material. This research was conducted at the Biology Mushroom House Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP UNRI in May-December 2019. This research was carried out in 2 stages: the experimental stage: the influence of the duration of composting on planting media with the addition of EM-4 to the growth of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) and the stages learning resources design: analysis of the potential and development of instructional video designs from the results of research. The study used an experimental method with 2 factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 12 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study are the mycelium growth rate, analysis of the number of fruit bodies, wet weight, dry weight and moisture content. The duration of composting for 5 days with the addition of EM-4 as much as 10 ml/baglog (P2E2) is the best treatment and based on the analysis of the potential results of the study can be used as a video design of biotechnology learning materials for class XII high school.Key Words: Length of Composting, EM-4, Growth of Oyster Mushrooms, Learning Video

Abstract

Abstract : This study is a descriptive study that aims to produce an instrument Pedagogical Content Knowledge competency test for junior high school science teacher. This research was conducted in FKIP Biology, University of Riau and MGMP IPA SMP Pekanbaru in September 2016 until February 2017. This study is Research and Development which used ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) and only done to Develop stage. Data was collected by the validation and testing. Validation aims to see usefullness a matter of expert opinion in the field of Pedagogical Content Knowledge IPA SMP, while the trial function to see usefullness the instrument for target users by analyzing the test results. Data obtained from the analysis of the test results in the form of value reliability, level of difficulty, diferentiation capacity and the function of detractors matter. Then, product produced after the validation and test are multiple choice questions with five possible answers which consists of 96 questions with 44 questions Content Knowledge, 36 about Pedagogical Knowledge and Pedagogical Content Knowledge 16. The results showed that the competency test instruments Pedagogical Content Knowledge can be categorized as good and can be used to measure mastery of Pedagogical Content Knowledge junior high school science teacher.Keywords: Instruments, Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), Junior High SchoolScience Teacher

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to find out the correlation between critical thinking skills and science attitudes of students with biology learning outcomes of class XI MAN 2 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Pekanbaru which has been collected from May to October 2019. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. The sample used in this studywerestudents of class XI MIA 2 (28 students) and class XI MIA 8 (27 students). The variables that have been observedwere critical thinking abilities and science attitudes and questions and questionnaires on critical thinking skills and science attitude questionnaires were used as the instruments test. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by product moment correlation analysis at 5% level with student learning outcomes. The critical thinking ability of class XI MIA 2 has a correlation of 0.442 with learning outcomes while class XI MIA 8 has a correlation of 0.459 with learning outcomes. The attitude of science class XI MIA 2 has a correlation of 0.703 with learning outcomes while class XI MIA 8 has a correlation of 0.543 with learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that class XI MIA 2 and class XI MIA 8 have a strong correlation between the ability to think critically and the attitude of science with biology learning outcomes namely class XI MIA 2 by 0.720 and class XI MIA 8 by o, 6.Key Words: Correlation, Critical Thinking Skills, Science Attitude, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to development of worksheets topic energy in live for junior high school grade seven with scientific approach to improve science process skills. This study held on June until December 2014. This study conducted with assessment worksheet paper, respondent paper, and observation scientific process skills paper. The assessment worksheet paper consist of 27 items and is 4 aspects. The aspect are content expert, linguist, presentation expert, and to encourage students to learn and work scientifically. This study was conducted using method of Research and Development of model ADDIE. The result showed of the experts’ assessment who developed products of content experts was very valid (M=3.53), linguist was very valid (M=3.48), presentation experts was very valid (M=3.51), and work scientifically was very valid (M=3.41). In addition for the scientific process skills students have achieved good category. That result indicated the product that has been developed worthy used in science teaching in schools and can improved science process skills.Key words: Scientific Approach; Science Process Skills; Development of Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: Land and forest fire has occurred for more than 18 years in Indonesia, especially in Riau, it show that preventing and addressing land and forest fire needs to be done in various aspects of life, one of which is education, we have to impart knowledge about land and forest fire to students. This research is expected to increase the understanding and knowledge of students about land and forest fire and peat swamp ecosystem, so in the future the students can perform preventive action against land and forest fire problems. This research was conducted at the Laboratory PMIPA of Biology Department of the University of Riau and SMPN 1 Tambang in February until April 2016. This type of research is the development with ADDIE’s model of integration to the stage of development. There are 4 LKPD developed. Instruments of data collection in this study is the assessment sheet / validation LKPD and student questionnaire responses. After LKPD developed, validated by 4 validator and then do the first test at 16-22 student in the 4th semester of biology education FKIP UR, and the second test at 18 students of Class VII at SMPN 1 Tambang. The results of the validation LKPD 1 shows the mean score 3,16 is valid category, LKPD 2 with a mean score of 3,29 is very valid category, LKPD 3 with a mean score of 3,29 is very valid and LKPD 4 with a score of 3,27 is very valid category. The results of the questionnaire responses in the first test showed a mean score of 91 with very good categories and the results of questionnaires in the second test showed a mean score of 89 with very good category. It can be concluded that LKPD Based constructivist approach to prevention the land and forest fire could provide insight and knowledge about land and forest fire and peat swamp ecosystems in particular as well as fit for use in science teaching in schools.Keywords: development, LKPD, Constructivism, land and Forest Fires

Abstract

Abstract: The issue of land and forest fires require an effort comprehensively, byinstilling the values of knowledge. The value of the integrated knowledge on subjects inthe school of biology in particular. The purpose of this study is to increaseunderstanding and knowledge learners regarding land and forest fires and peat swampecosystem so expect future learners can perform preventive measures against theproblem of land and forest fires. This research was carried out in the laboratory ofBiology Education Department PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and SMAN 1 Tambangin January – March 2016. This type of research is development research using modelADDIE conducted up to the stage of development. There are five Student Worksheets(LKPD) developed. Data collection instruments in the research is the assessmentsheetsof validation, and student response. After LKPD developed, validated by 4 peoplevalidator then conducted tests I on 19 students semester 2 Biology education, and URfree trial II on 19 person learners Class X in SMAN 1 Tambang. The results of thevalidation shows the average score aspects of eligibility of the contents of 5 LKPDdeveloped is 3.48 category is valid, the average score of design aspects is a validcategory, and 3.44 average score aspects of pedagogy is 3.67 valid categories. Theaverage score of the overall aspect of the five LKPD is 3.50 category is valid. Theresults of the first tests showed a mean score of 4.3 with category very well. The resultsof the second tests showed the mean score II 4.3 with category very well. The results ofstudents answer showed that mean score 78 with category valid. LKPD Based SETS thetheme of land and forest fires can provide understanding and knowledge about the landand forest fires and peat swamp ecosystem as well as indirectly can improve the attitudeof caring environment learners.Keywords: Development, LKPD, SETS, land and Forest Fires

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to determine the effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) on March-May 2016. The results used as module development of biology learning of concept mushrooms (fungi) in class x senior high school. The study consisted of two phases, the first effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) using non factorial completely randomized design that consist 5 treatments and 3 replicatesand totally obtain 15 experimental design. It would further DMRT test if effect. The observed parameters include growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms. The second phase, developing a module with concept of mushrooms (fungi) by using ADDIE models. Based on the survey results revealed that the addition of NPK effect on all parameters observed where the best dosage with the addition of NPK 10gr / 1 kg of growing media.
