Abstract

Have been done by research of action Class to increase result and motivation learn Biology byapplying model study of type co-operative Jigsaw III at class student one SMAN 4 Pekanbaru in apriluntil mei 2004. The research subject is class student 17 with amount 43 people. Parameter themeasured is result learn student, complete learn, activity learn motivation and student learn. Resultlearn cycle of 17 mean 74.23 % mounting, at cycle II mean 80.35 %. Complete learn cycle of I is 76.74% (is not complete), at cycle of II is 93.02 % (is complete), for the activity of student at group comefrom at cycle of I mean 75.12 % and mount to become 85.47 % at cycle of II. Activity expert group55.47% at cycle of I and 64.52% at cycle of II. Motivation learn student biology at cycle student of Inatural is make-up of with percentage mean of is make-up of motivation 35.77% and mean score 2.80.At cycle of II natural is make-up of with percentage mean is make-up of motivation 8.10% and meanscore 3.03. From result of research can be concluded that applying of study of type co-operative ofJigsaw III can improve result, motivation and activity learn class student 17 SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: Land and forest fire has occurred for more than 18 years in Indonesia, especially in Riau, it show that preventing and addressing land and forest fire needs to be done in various aspects of life, one of which is education, we have to impart knowledge about land and forest fire to students. This research is expected to increase the understanding and knowledge of students about land and forest fire and peat swamp ecosystem, so in the future the students can perform preventive action against land and forest fire problems. This research was conducted at the Laboratory PMIPA of Biology Department of the University of Riau and SMPN 1 Tambang in February until April 2016. This type of research is the development with ADDIE’s model of integration to the stage of development. There are 4 LKPD developed. Instruments of data collection in this study is the assessment sheet / validation LKPD and student questionnaire responses. After LKPD developed, validated by 4 validator and then do the first test at 16-22 student in the 4th semester of biology education FKIP UR, and the second test at 18 students of Class VII at SMPN 1 Tambang. The results of the validation LKPD 1 shows the mean score 3,16 is valid category, LKPD 2 with a mean score of 3,29 is very valid category, LKPD 3 with a mean score of 3,29 is very valid and LKPD 4 with a score of 3,27 is very valid category. The results of the questionnaire responses in the first test showed a mean score of 91 with very good categories and the results of questionnaires in the second test showed a mean score of 89 with very good category. It can be concluded that LKPD Based constructivist approach to prevention the land and forest fire could provide insight and knowledge about land and forest fire and peat swamp ecosystems in particular as well as fit for use in science teaching in schools.Keywords: development, LKPD, Constructivism, land and Forest Fires

Abstract

Abstract: The issue of land and forest fires require an effort comprehensively, byinstilling the values of knowledge. The value of the integrated knowledge on subjects inthe school of biology in particular. The purpose of this study is to increaseunderstanding and knowledge learners regarding land and forest fires and peat swampecosystem so expect future learners can perform preventive measures against theproblem of land and forest fires. This research was carried out in the laboratory ofBiology Education Department PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and SMAN 1 Tambangin January – March 2016. This type of research is development research using modelADDIE conducted up to the stage of development. There are five Student Worksheets(LKPD) developed. Data collection instruments in the research is the assessmentsheetsof validation, and student response. After LKPD developed, validated by 4 peoplevalidator then conducted tests I on 19 students semester 2 Biology education, and URfree trial II on 19 person learners Class X in SMAN 1 Tambang. The results of thevalidation shows the average score aspects of eligibility of the contents of 5 LKPDdeveloped is 3.48 category is valid, the average score of design aspects is a validcategory, and 3.44 average score aspects of pedagogy is 3.67 valid categories. Theaverage score of the overall aspect of the five LKPD is 3.50 category is valid. Theresults of the first tests showed a mean score of 4.3 with category very well. The resultsof the second tests showed the mean score II 4.3 with category very well. The results ofstudents answer showed that mean score 78 with category valid. LKPD Based SETS thetheme of land and forest fires can provide understanding and knowledge about the landand forest fires and peat swamp ecosystem as well as indirectly can improve the attitudeof caring environment learners.Keywords: Development, LKPD, SETS, land and Forest Fires

Abstract: The research was conducted to determine the effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) on March-May 2016. The results used as module development of biology learning of concept mushrooms (fungi) in class x senior high school. The study consisted of two phases, the first effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) using non factorial completely randomized design that consist 5 treatments and 3 replicatesand totally obtain 15 experimental design. It would further DMRT test if effect. The observed parameters include growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms. The second phase, developing a module with concept of mushrooms (fungi) by using ADDIE models. Based on the survey results revealed that the addition of NPK effect on all parameters observed where the best dosage with the addition of NPK 10gr / 1 kg of growing media. Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to develop student’s worksheet SMA/MA grade X with emotional intelligence content in the material change and environmental preservation to improve HOTS. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Biology PMIPA Department University of Riau and MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru in March-June 2015. The research procedures are adapted from the R and D with ADDIE model was carried out until development stage. Data collection instruments used validation sheets and students response questionnaire. Limited trials conducted to look feasibility worksheet have been developed. The data obtained to determine the validity of worksheet. The tryout subjects in this research are 26 students of class X Science 7 in MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. The subject in the research is KD 3.10 on the environmental balance, waste handling, fertilizer Bokashi and damage caused by pollution. The products content has been revised based on the result of the field test (tryout II) and the suggestions from the validators. Validation results namely (1) worksheet 1: balance environmental, 3,25 with valid category; (2) worksheet 2: waste management 3,30, with the category of very valid; (3) worksheet 3: Bokashi fertilizer 3,16 with valid category; (4) worksheet 4: damage caused by pollution is 3,05 with valid category. The overall response of worksheet is very good. Based on the results of data analysis showed that development of Biology students worksheet SMA/MA grade x in change and environmental preservations chapter with emotional intelligence content to improve the student’s HOTS potentially as a source in the learning process and it can be used with a mean of valid criteria.Keywords: Biology Student Worksheet, Emotional Intelligence, HOTS

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the performance of Junior High School Natural Sciences Teacher Forum (MGMP members) in Pekanbaru on professional development. This study was performed on November 2016 to April 2017. Fifty members of Junior High School natural sciences teacher forumin Pekanbaru that has been actively participating in teacher forumactivity took part in this study. The data collection instruments used in this study are closed questionnaire and open questionnaire.Closed questionnaire consists of 30 statements that are divided into 4 indicators namely motivation, creativity, self efficacy, and attitude.Open questionnaire consists of 5 questions. Questionnaires have passed the validity test stage through pearson correlation test. Reliability test results obtained Cronbach alpha value of 0.89 (good). Descriptive data analysis show that performance of Junior High School Natural Sciences teacher forummembers in Pekanbaru on professional development gained a mean of 4.07 (good)with details of average motivation 4,02 (good), average creativity 3,90 (good), average self effficacy 4,09 (good) and average attitude 4,29 (very good). Based on this study we can conclude that Junior High School Natural Sciences teacher forum members in Pekanbaru had a good performance on professional development.

Abstract

This research was conducted for analyzing Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) of biology prospective teachers in Riau Province. The study was carried out to fulfill Indonesian Governments policy on Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) 6-Level. This development research aimed to analyze, design and develop a model to enhance the competency and competitiveness of Education College graduates to meet their professional, social and industrial needs. This paper discussed a preliminary study of the developed models for strenghtening the prospective teachers from Biology Education Departement, conducted through a survey of 243 students from four different colleges of education in Riau Province. The data were collected through a test and interview. The instruments used contained seven variables of knowledge, namely Technology, Paedagogy, Content, Technological Paedagogy, Technological Content, Technological knowledge and TPACK. The instruments was improved through their validity and reliability test. The TPACK performance of Prospective Biology teachers seemed low. Based on the need analysis two products will be generated. First, a lesson design and the second was a work books. This study had an implications for increasing the competence of biology education graduates. The lesson design and competency test instruments could be used for College of Biology Education and teacher professional education in developing competency test for selection system. The TPACK workbook could be used as teacher enrichment in sustainable profession development such as classroom action research, learning innovation contest, and science teacher olympiad.

Abstract

Abstract : Classroom Action Research has been conducted consisting of two cycles. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science students of class VII SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru with the integration of character and science literacy in science learning. Research starts from the planning stage, the implementation of the action, the observation stage and the last was done reflection to analyze the deficiencies that occur in the learning activities in order to improve the learning activities in the next cycle. This research was conducted from March to May 2018. The subjects of this study were the students of class VII1 semester of which amounted to 40 students, consisting of 18 male students and 22 female students. Parameters in the study were student learning outcomes consisting of affective apsek, psikomotor and cognitive aspects that consist of students' absorption and mastery of student learning. The results showed the students' learning outcomes increased. On the affective aspect increased from 3.01 (B) in cycle I to 3.08 (B) in cycle II. Psychomotor aspect increased from 78.70 (C) in cycle I to 84.58 with (C) in cycle II. The average score of cognitive aspects of students is 79.87 (C) in cycle I and increased to 81.02 (C) in cycle II. Student learning mastery in cycle I is 72.5% and increased to 85% in cycle II. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that by integrating the character and science literacy in science learning can improve student learning outcomes of class VII1 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Character, Science Literacy, Learning Outcomes
