Abstract

The low performance of teachers will impact the quality of student graduation, which in turn will also affect the achievement of educational goals. The quality in the learning process can be grouped into the quality of the input, the quality of the process and the quality of the learning output. The purpose of this study was to see planning teacher performance appraisals, strategies for implementing teacher performance appraisals, and supervision of teacher performance appraisal. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The subjects of this study are school principals, supervisors, and teachers at a Madrasah in Banda Aceh. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed: (1) teacher performance was carried out by the authorities stipulated by the government, based on the stated performance appraisal, had been running according to four teacher competency standards including; pedagogical competence, social competence, personal competence, and professional competence (2) the strategy for implementing teacher performance assessments can be seen from the ability of teachers to carry out the teaching and learning process, namely: preparing learning plans, managing the class, using media or learning resources, understanding educational foundations, implementing BK program, carry out learning evaluation, (3) the purpose of supervising teacher performance by supervisors consists of principals and supervisors to determine the professional level of teachers in work and determine the teacher's availability of instruments. This supervision will improve the quality of education so that teachers will not underestimate the learning process.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are one of the thinking skills needed in the 21st century. HOTS can make students more critical, creative and innovative in solving problems. Students with HOTS can distinguish clear ideas, clear opinions, solve problems, formulate explanations well and understand complicated things become clear. However, the actual ability of HOT students is still low seen from their difficulties in solving HOTS problems. Therefore, this study aimed to describe students' difficulties in solving HOTS problems in algebra. This type of research was qualitative with descriptive method. The subjects of this study consisted of three students in the eighth grade at one of the junior high school in Banda Aceh. The instruments used were tests and interviews. The results showed that difficulties in understanding the information and questions given, the difficulty of finding patterns and relationships, difficulty in manipulating algebraic forms, lack of prerequisite materials, difficulty in solving equations that had been made, difficulties in understanding images in the form of information, difficulties in presenting images in the form of symbols or equations and difficulties in distinguishing the two-variable linear equation material and the two-variable linear equation system. By knowing the difficulties of students, it is expected that teachers and schools can provide learning that can reduce difficulties and develop HOTS abilities to enter the 21st century.Keywords: difficulty, higher order thinking skills, algebra.

Abu Bakr, M.Si Keywords: Self-Regulation, Single Mother, Teens This study entitled "Self Regulation In Single Mothers Who Have Children". The purpose of this study to find out how self-regulation in the single mother who has a teenage son. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The research location is housed in Johan Pahlawan sub-district of West Aceh district with 5 key respondents. The process of collecting data using interviews conducted during the first week. Data analysis using case analysis per respondent narrative. The results showed each of the respondents have a self-regulation vary. Each respondent memili its own way of regulating itself. Respondents first, second, fourth and fifth more democratic parenting apply to the child are free to express their opinions, while the third respondent is applying to authoritarian parenting. Single mothers in the district Gupta heroes have been able to regulate itself properly, they already have a clear objective and a plan to regulate the behavior of children.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian yang berjudul “problematika belajar yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang problem studi yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa prodi bimbingan dan konseling FKIP UNSYIAH angkatan 2010/2011. Metode penelitian dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa prodi bimbingan dan konseling berjumlah 55 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan terdapat 92 masalah belajar yang umum dihadapi mahasiswa. Sedangkan untuk mutu kegiatan belajar mahasiswa secara keseluruhan pada umumnya mahasiswa berada dalam kategori tinggi, sedikit sekali berada pada kategori sedang dan rendah. Dalam aspek Prasyarat penguasaan materi pelajaran pada umumnya mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan sedikit sekali berada pada kategori sedang dan rendah. Aspek keterampilan belajar pada umumnya mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan sedikit sekali berada pada kategori sedang dan rendah. Aspek sarana belajar sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, sebagian kecil berada pada kategori sedang dan rendah. Aspek keadaan diri sendiri sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, sebagian kecil berada pada kategori sedang dan sedikit sekali kategori rendah. Dan untuk aspek keadaan lingkungan fisik dan sosio-emosional sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, sebagian kecil berada pada kategori sedang dan sedikit sekali berada pada kategori rendah. Abstract

The internet utilization has a relation in changes of person's behavior which can be positive or negative. If the internet is used to support student in learning activities, it will affect the learning behavior anyway. The purpose of this research to find out internet media utilization to students of Senior High School 6 in Banda Aceh and the relationship between internet media utilization with learning behavior of students, using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are 6 students from class XI, while the object of this research is internet media utilization in relation with learning behavior. The data collection used was interview. The results of data analysis showed that internet media utilization on students including frequency of use (everyday), duration of use (2-16 hours per day) and the materials studied (academic/non-academic). The internet media utilization is closely related to students learning behavior. The intense of internet utilization can lead to addiction which effects on achievement and patterns of student learning behavior. If students are wise and smart in using the internet and clever in set the time, it will bring a good influence on the desire and behavior in learning. The students are interested to learn because through the internet they can get knowledge and extensive insight. That is shown by students behavior asking in learning process that consists of concentrating on the subject matter, take notes, ask for an explanation or asking, fulfillment of learning obligations or task and positioning of sitting in the classroom. Then, the behavior when an exam is a lot of studying before the exam and learning behavior at home.Keywords: Utilization, Internet Media, Learning Behavior of StudentsABSTRAKPenggunaan internet berkaitan dengan perubahan perilaku seseorang yang bisa menjadi positif dan juga negatif. Jika internet digunakan untuk mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran siswa, maka akan mempengaruhi perilaku belajarnya pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media internet pada siswa SMA Negeri 6 Banda Aceh dan kaitan antara penggunaan media internet dengan perilaku belajar siswa, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI sebanyak 6 orang, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah penggunaan media internet dalam kaitannya dengan perilaku belajar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media internet pada siswa meliputi frekuensi penggunaan (setiap hari), lama penggunaan (2-16 jam perhari) dan materi yang dikaji (akademik/non akademik). Penggunaan media internet berkaitan erat dengan perilaku belajar siswa. Intensnya penggunaan internet dapat menyebabkan kecanduan yang berdampak pada prestasi dan pola perilaku belajar siswa. Jika siswa bijak dan cerdas dalam menggunakan internet serta pandai membagi waktu, maka akan membawa pengaruh yang baik terhadap keinginan serta perilakunya dalam belajar. Siswa jadi tertarik belajar karena melalui internet bisa mendapatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan yang luas. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan melalui perilaku siswa mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang terdiri dari memusatkan perhatian pada materi pelajaran, membuat catatan, meminta penjelasan atau bertanya, pemenuhan kewajiban belajar atau tugas dan penempatan posisi duduk di kelas. Kemudian perilaku saat menghadapi ujian yaitu banyak belajar sebelum ujian dan perilaku belajar di rumah.Kata kunci: Penggunaan, Media Internet, Perilaku Belajar Siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas bertujuan Untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Pekerjaan Dasar Otomotif di SMK Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) pada kompetensi menerapkan alat ukur mekanik dan fungsinya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X TO 2 SMK Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 berjumlah 24 orang, dengan pokok bahasan vernier caliver, micrometer dan dial indicator. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 3 siklus dan setiap satuan siklus terdiri dari serangkaian kegiatan meliputi; perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal sebelum diberikan tindakan (T0) sebesar 45,83% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 71,67. Selanjutnya setelah diberi tindakan pada siklus I (T1) sebesar 66,67% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 76,67, pada siklus II (T2) sebesar 79,19% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 81,25, pada siklus III (T3) sebesar 87,50% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 90,83 sehingga menunjukan T3> T2> T1>T0. Keaktifan belajar mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 46,47%, pada siklus II sebesar 50,88% dan pada siklus III sebesar 59,94% ini menunjukan keaktifan siswa termasuk kategori cukup aktif. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran STAD, Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar

Abstract

The effectiveness of learning basic movement jump through modification tool learners class V SDN Pandulangan I District of central Tapin regency of  Tapin. Purpose of reseach this is to increase the effectiveness of learning basic movement jump on learners class V SDN Pandulangan I. The subject of research is the learners class V SDN Pandulangan I  totalling 20 people comprising 13 men and 7 learners learner's daughter. The methods used in this research is a method of action class (PTK).Results of the study revealed that, in the initial observations of 20 learners there are only 4 people who meet the ketuntasan study on motion learning basic jump. After teridenfikasi some causes of the problem then compiled the planning of learning that are applied or applied at the cycle I and cycle II. On first cycle there were 14 people who are having the learners ketuntasan his studies. After going through the stage of the class action research ranging from planning, implementation, observation and reflection on the cycle I, then the cycle II contained 19 people who are having the learners learning complete. This indicates that the action is given by the teacher/researchers that learning through modification tools give a positive impact on learning outcomes for learners. The existence of positive impact of improved learning outcomes learner, then it can be said the research class action is successful. Keywords: Effectiveness, learning basic jump motion, modification tools.

Abstract

Implementasi tugas Hakim Pengawas dan Pengamat dalam melakukan pengawasan dan pengamatan terhadap narapidana di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Jambimerupakan seperangkat kegiatan yang secara nyata telah dilakukan oleh hakim yang ditunjuk Ketua Pengadilan sebagai Hakim Pengawas dan Pengamat untuk melakukan pengamatan terhadap narapidana selama mereka menjalani masa pidanaya terutama mengenai perilaku mereka masing-masing maupun perlakuan para petugas Lembaga Pemasyarakatan terhadap diri narapidana itu sendiri. Dengan demikian hakim selain akan dapat mengetahui sampai dimana putusan pengadilan tampak hasil baik buruknya pada diri narapidana yang bersangkutan, juga penting bagi penelitian yang bermanfat bagi pemidanaan. Ditemukan hambatan- hambatan selaku Hakim pengawas dan pengamat dalam menjalankan tugas dan wewenangnya, maka diperlukan pengaturan sebaiknya dimasa depan tentang peranan Hakim Pengawas dan Pengamat  yang sebaiknya diterapkan adalah norma hukum acara pidana yang mengatur secara jelas dan tegas tentang peranan Hakim Pengawas dan Pengamat terhadap perubahan perilaku narapidana, sedemikian sehingga setiap terjadinya penjatuhan pidana, dapat dipastikan bahwa terpidana tidak akan melakukan resedivisme, melalui mekanisme pengawasan   dan pengamatan  oleh Hakim Pengawas dan Pengamat, yang sebagian fungsinya dilimpahkan kepada Ketua RT/Desa/Kelurahan domisili narapidana dan Balai Pemasyarakatan.

Abstract

The purpose of the research entittled ’An Analysis of Income and Expenditure Patterns of the Poor Households di Sarolangun Regency’, they are: First, to analyze the poor households income in Sarolangun Regency. Second, to analyze the education level of the poor households in Sarolangun Regency. Third, to analyze the expenditure pattern of the poor households in Sarolangun Regency. Forth, to analyze the poor households income’s inequality in Sarolangun Regency. The result of the research shows that, First; the monthly average of poor households income in Sarolangun Regency is Rp.852.057,- each family. Second, in the education level point of view, 90,6% of the poor household only completed their Elementary School. Third, in the expenditure-pattern point of view, in average, the expenditure-pattern of  72,96%  poor households in Sarolangun Regency spent their income in food consumption, other 12,07% spent their income in primary needs (electricity, gas, water) and the rest 14,97% for vary. It is indicate that the expenditure pattern of poor households in Sarolangun Regency still concern to the primary consumption. Fourth, the poor households income’s inequality in Sarolangun Regency in average is 0,30. Keywords: primary need, expenditure pattern, income’s inequality

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the principal's communication management in improving teacher performance at SMA Banda Aceh. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri Banda Aceh, namely SMAN 4 which is located in Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City. The sample in this study consisted of the Principal, Deputy Principal and Teachers. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews. The standard of data validity in qualitative research refers to the standards of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study concluded that the pattern of communication between the principal and the teacher council in improving teacher performance. The pattern of communication carried out by the principal has been going well by creating a harmonious family atmosphere in the form of interpersonal communication in the form of primary and secondary and linear communication patterns in improving teacher performance, increasing teacher performance at Banda Aceh High School. Implementation of communication between the head of school and the teacher council in improving teacher performance. The obstacles that occur in communication between the principal and the teacher council are technical communication barriers, and semantic barriers.
