Abstract

Abstract : The Research about application of the active learning strategy type learning tournament has been done to improve student’s achievement on the topic of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research is experimental research based on pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class Xl IPA 2 as the control class and students of class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class that randomly selected after testing homogeneity. Experimental class is a class that is applied active learning strategy type learning tournament, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 2,14 > 1,66, means that the application of active learning strategy type true false chain can improve student achievement on the subject of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI MAN 1 Pekanbaru where the effect of an increase is 6,77%.Key Words : Active Learning Strategy Type Learning Tournament, Learning Achievement, and Solubility and Solubility Product Constant

Abstract

Abstract: Research was conducted with the aims to determine pH range, percentage acid base indicator titration error, and stability of Oryza sativa Glutinosa extract as acid base indicator. Oryza sativa Glutinosa grains respectively extracted with maseration using ethanol (HCl 1%). pH range determined by added the extract into buffer solutions pH 1-9. Percentage acid base indicator titration error determined by applied the extract in strong acid-strong base, weak acid-strong base, strong acid-weak base titration. The stability determined by applied the extract in strong acid- strong base titration for 4 (four) months with interval 1 (one) month. The pH range known at 6-7. Percentage acid base indicator titration error were 0,0714 ± 0,0736 % for strong acid-strong base titration, 0,0495 ± 0,0379% for weak acid- strong base, and 3,5635 ± 1,1621% for strong acid-weak base. The stability of the extract shown by small percentage acid base indicator titration error about 0,0803 ± 0,0416%.Keywords : Oryza sativa Glutinosa, Acid Base Indicator, Titration

Abstract

Abstract: Classroom action research has been done on student’s activity and learning mastery on colloid subject in XI IPA 1 of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted by applying active learning strategy of Card Sort. Improved student learning activity is the activity of asking questions, submit answers or opinions, working on exersices and group discussion, evaluation too.This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of one meeting through four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation and test. The result of action showed that activity percentage of students increased and reached the success indicator. Activity of student percentage in first cycle 57,89% with criteria enough and second cycle 71,85% with criteria good. The percentage of learning outcomes also increased and reached the success indicator. The average percentage in first cycle 68,57 and second cycle 85,71% . Based on the result obtained, it can be concluded that application active learning strategy of Card Sort can increase student’s activity and learning mastery.Keyword: Active Learning of Card Sort, Learning Activities, Learning Mastery

Abstract

Abstract : This Research aims to develop Student Activities Worksheets Based on Hierarchy of Concept on the buffer solution subject valid based on the feasibility aspect of content, language, serve and graphic. The type of this research is research and development (R and D) with reference to the development process of 4-D model. The subject of this research is student activities worksheets based on hierarchy of concept. Instrument of data collection are validation given to three validators, and from analysis data obtained by the validity of aspect of content, aspect of language, aspect of serve, and aspect of graphic are 93,45%, 91,67%, 95,83%, dan 89,58% with valid category. Student activities worksheets which validated by the validators tested to 30 students and get response result with percentage of 88,07% with positive category, and assessed the praticality by three teachers and get response result with percentage of 95,28% with very practical category. Based on the result of data analysis can be concluded that student activities worksheets based on hierarchy of concept that produced is valid and can be used for the subject buffer solution.Keywords : Buffer Solution, Student Activities Worksheet, Hierarchy of Concept

Abstract

Research on the implementation of cooperative learning Scramble model has been done to improve student achievement on the subject of colloids in grade XI MA Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru. The shape of this research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. Time data collection starts in April-May 2012. The sample consists of two classes, namely the class as a class experiment XI.1 and XI.2 class as a class randomly selected control after homogeneity test. Experimental class is a class that is treated by applying the model of cooperative pembelajran Scramble. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of the final data processing using t-test formula obtained t count> t-table is 3.02> 1.67 means that the implementation of cooperative learning model Scramble can improve student achievement on the subject of colloids in class XI MA Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru , Improved learning achievement in experimental class is supported with a score gain normalized (N-Gain) of 0.71 is high.

Abstract

Abstrak: This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning achievement and the influence of firing line active learning strategies on the subject matter of Buffer Solutions in class XI of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The form of this study is an experimental study using the Pretest-Posttest Design Randomized Control Group. The study sample consisted of 2 classes, namely class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class which had tested normality using the Liliefors test and tested homogeneity using two average similarity tests. The research hypothesis was tested using the right-t-test. The results showed that the application of active learning strategies for firing squad formation could improve student learning achievement on the subject of Buffer Solution with tcount = 3.78> table = 1.67 and the magnitude of the effect of increasing student achievement was categorized based on the N-Gain value of 0.75 which is included in the high category. It can be concluded that the application of active learning strategies for firing squad formation can improve students' learning achievement on the subject matter of buffer solution of class XI SMAN 10 Pekanbaru with the effect of an increase of 0.75.Key Words: Strategy for Shooting Squad (Firing Line), Learning Achievement, Buffer Solution.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to improve the achievement of learners on termochemistry subject in XI MIA class SMAN 1 Tanjungpinang. This research was a kind of experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMAN 1 Tanjungpinang the samples of the research were the students of XI MIA1 class as the experimental class and students of XI MIA2 class as the control class which were determined randomly after doing normality test and the homogeneity test. The learning process of experimental class and control class used scientific approach which was based on the curriculum in 2013. Experimental class was a class which was given the treatment that used cooperative learning model snowball throwing while the control class was not. Based on the result of data analysis test, we obtained tcount ttabel 4,27 1,67. It meant that the use of cooperative learning model snowball throwing could improve students learning achievement on termochemistry subject in XI MIA class SMAN 1 Tanjungpinang.Key Words : Snowball Throwing , Learning Outcomes, Termochemitry

Abstract

Abstract : This is a classroom action research. This research is an attempt toimprove student learning activities in chemistry on class XI IPA 2 of SMAN 5Pekanbaru by using active learning strategies Hollywood Squares Review. Improvedstudent learning activity is the activity of asking questions, submit answers or opinions,group discussion and enthusiastic about the game of Hollywood Squares. The researchwas conducted with two cycles, in the first cycle consists of three meetings and thesecond cycle consists of two meetings which includes four stages of implementation,namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection includedobservation and test. The results showed that the percentage of students increasedactivity and achieving the success criteria. The percentage of student activity in the firstcycle of 66,07% with categorized good and the second cycle of 81,65% withcategorized very good. Percentage of learning outcomes is also seen from masterylearning that enhances and have achieved success criteria. The percentage of masterylearning students in the first cycle reached 64,29%,which has not reached the criteria ofsuccess, while in the second cycle students learning completeness percentage of 80,95%has achieved succes criteria. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that theuse of active learning strategies types Hollywood Square Review can to increase theactivity and student learning outcomes.Keyword: Active learning strategies types Hollywood Square Review, activities, learningoutcomes

Abstract: It has been applied the arisan card active learning strategy to improve students learning achievement on the subject of Hydrocarbons in class X of Senior High School Number 3 Pekanbaru. The research is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class X5 as the experimental class and the students of class X6 as the control class. They were randomly determined after given the tests of normality and homogeneity. Experimental class is a class which was given a treatment by applying active learning strategy of arisan card in learning process. The data were analyzed by using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it obtained tcount> ttable, which is 2,85 >1.67. It means that the application of active learning strategy of arisan card can improve student learning achievement on the subject of Hydrocarbons in class X of Senior High School Number 3 Pekanbaru.
