Abstract

Evaluation of students learning result at department of Chemistry educationFKIP Riau University on 1st Physical Chemistry subject is not reliable yet. It occursbecause students are not ready in lecture caused by less knowledge. It is necessary todevelop ad improve learning quality on this subject by giving task of doing summarybefore and after lesson. Subject of this research is student in 1st Physical Chemistry classon even semester 2006/2008. There are 32 student in this class. From summary sheetsbefore lesson, almost of all student make their summary in order basic theory. Whereasfrom summary sheets after lesson, student just write what was has been taught by lectureand not know much. Observation result as long as learning process shows that studenttrend are active. Development result shows 28 student achieve known degree ≥ 65% and4 students achieve know degree ≤ 65%. This result also shows that learning reliableclassically is of 87,5 %.Keywords: Reliable, Physical Chemistry, Summary

Abstract

Based on the result of research have found that the better gas used in experiment the molarvolume of gas is oxygen than hydrogen or carbondioxide. From that research, the researcherwant to develop it into specific issue that “which the source of oxygen is better to determinethe molar volume of gas” to produce of the oxygen taht the molar volume resembled to themolar volume of ideal gas if measured at standard condition. Besides the problem mentinedabove, researcher also want to know how many substances are standard to use in theexperiment molar volume of gas and determine which instrument is better used from twodiffrent instruments, certainly a simple equipment, practical, easy to design and less ofmistakes in observation. Abstract

Abstrack : This research aimed to know the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in improving the student achievement in class XI IPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. This research was a quasi experiment with randomized group pretest-posttes design. The sample of this study was XI IPA 5 as experiment class and XI IPA 6 as control class after being tested for normality and homogeneity tests. Normality test was performed using Liliefors test. The results of the Liliefors normality test obtained for all the data (material prerequisites, pretest, and posttest) normal distribution where Lmaks ≤ Ltabel. The results of the homogeneity test, of Fhitung<Ftabel (1.23 <1.72 with α = 0.05, dk(36.36)) which means that the samples have the same variance (homogeneous). Data analysis technique used was t-test, obtained thitung≥ ttable (2.398> 1.67 with dk = n1 + n2 - 2 and α = 0.05) means that the application of guided inquiry learning model gave effect of 8.02% to the improvement of the student achievement. Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to increase student achievement on the subjectreaction rates in class XI SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. This research is a kind of experimentresearch with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMAN 2 SiakHulu The samples of this research were the students of class XI MIA 3 as theexperimental class and students of class XI MIA 5 as the control class. Experimentalclass is a class that is applied model of cooperative learning type round table, while thecontrol class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis ofdata obtained tarithmetic&gt; ttable is 2,64&gt; 1,67, means that the application of modelcooperative learning type round table can improve student achievement on the subjectof reaction rates in class XI MIA SMAN 2 Siak Hulu, increase learning of 10,41%.Keywords: Cooperative Learning type Round Table, Student Achievement.

Abstract

Abstract: The research is about applying cooperative learning model Course Review Horay (CRH). It was done to know the increase student achievementon the subject termokimia in class XI MIA SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is experimental research with pretest-postest design. The sample consists of two classes. They are class XI Science 1 as an experimental class and class XI Science 2 as a control class which were decided randomly after doing normality and homogenity test. Experimental class is a class that is applied cooperative learning model Course Review Horay (CRH), while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 3> 1,67, means that the application of cooperative learning model Course Review Horay (CRH) can improve student achievement on the subject of termokimia class XI MIA  SMAN 7Pekanbaru, increase learning of 12,5%.   Keywords: cooperative learning, Course Review Horay (CRH)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the significant difference of students’ learning achievement between students taught using Rotating Trio Exchange(RTE) assisted with question box and students taught conventionally with question box in chemistry subject at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. Subject of this research were students at XI MIA 3 as experiment class and XI MIA 1 as control class were randomely selected. Data analized after giving pretest and postest to each class by using ttest. The results revealed that application active learning strategy of RTE was capable to improve student’s achievement in chemistry especially in Reaction Rate Subject at 11th SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. The result of the study shows a significant difference of students’ learning achievement between students taught using RTE assisted with questions box and students taught conventionally with question box with tobserved 3,87 >  ttabel 1,67. And n-gain score for exsperiment class is 0.65 and control class is  0.47, means the improvement of both classes achievement was in average category. Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to increase student learning achievement on the topic of solubility produk (Ksp) in class XI Science Senior High School (SMAN) 9 Pekanbaru. LKS comic dressed student is able to stimulate the brain while reading it, because it displays imagesthat are not boring for students while reading. The research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class XI Science4 as the experimental class and students of class XI Science3 as the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied to LKS Komik  while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on data analysis of data obtained tcount> ttable is 2.87>1.66, means that LKS use of comics can improve student learning achievement on the topic of solubility and solubility product (Ksp) in class XI Science Senior High School (SMAN) 9 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment class was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,77. Meanwhile, the category improvement of student achievement in control class was medium category with N-gain normalized is 0,64. Abstract: Research on the implementation of cooperative learning model type round table to increase learning achievement has been done on the subject of the rate of reaction in class X SMAN 12 pekanbaru.  This research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMAN 12 pekanbaru The samples of this research were the students of class X MIA 3 as the experimental class and  students of class XI MIA 4 as  the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied model of cooperative learning type round table, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of research are to know the improvement of student learning achievement and value of influence by implementing Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI) learning model on the buffers subject in the class XI MIA SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research is experimental research using Design Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. The research sample consisted two class, class XI MIA 2 as experiment class and class XI MIA 3 as control class that has tested by normality test using Liliefors test and homogeneity test using equality of two average test. Hypothesis was done by using test-t right side. Research result shown that the implementation of PLGI learning model can improve student learning achievement on the buffers subject where tarithmetic = 3,33 > ttable = 1,67 with value of its influence to student learning achievement is 16,53%.Keywords : Learning Model Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI), Learning Achievement, Buffers
