Abstract

This article analyzes the emergence of contemporary Islamic movement in Indonesia, especially in Kajian Musawarah community that massively do da’wah from hijrah celebrity group. Da’wah movement will be blossom through technology movement. This article examines how popularity as part to drive contemporary da’wah. This study important to see how celebrities position themselves as a new religion authority that evoke the spirit of contemporary da’wah, both online and offline. Besides, this article 5also to see how hijrah celebrity popularity appears as piety identity. This study also examines how new media unite all Muslim through imagined community. This article was made through observation on Instagram and youtube Kajian Musawarah and also supported with literature studies. The result of this study shows that hijrah celebrity popularity supports appearing da’wah movement in a celebrity group. Besides, Kajian Muswarah encourages the formation of virtual umma and imagined communities through new media.

Abstract

Era kontemporer ini wanita bercadar sering dibicarakan di berbagai ruang media dan penyebaran pandangan negatif, terutama sebagian kalangan yang berrasangka negatif terhadap Islam. Akan tetapi sebagian kalangan mendukung setiap gerakan dakwah Islam, salah satunya dengan memberikan dukungan penuh kepada wanita bercadar. Salah satunya adalah komunitas Niqab Squad Jogja (NSJ) merupakan komunitas peduli pada wanita bercadar dan merupakan cabang dari komunitas Niqab Squad Indonesia. Komunitas ini bukan hanya sebagai tempat berkumpul wanita muslim bercadar, akan tetapi sebagai ladang dakwah untuk mensyiarkan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis lapangan melalui tahap wawancara dan melakukan pengamatan. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk membuka wawasan baru terkait gerakan wanita bercadar di Indonesia pada masa kontemporer. Abstract

Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 sebagai era yang ditandai dengan masifnya gerakan perkembangan teknologi informasi. Berkembangnya teknologi berbasis internet menuai banyak diskursus terkait peluang dan tantangan di masa depan. Salah satu bidang yang paling krusial dalam era revolusi industi 4.0 ini adalah bidang keuangan yang erat kaitannya dengan lingkup perbankan. Di Indonesia perbankan tidak hanya berdiri tunggal sebagai konvensional, tetapi juga memberikan ruang berkembangnya perbankan syariah. Dalam artikel ini, penulis fokuspada diskursus akademik mengenai perbankan syariah dan transformasi digital serta peningkatan daya saing. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pendekatan virtual etnografi dan studi literatur. Hasil tulisan ini menjelaskan bagaimana berjalannya perbankan syariah dnegan menerapkan teknologi digital dalam sistem pelayanan perbankan serta kaitannya dengan praktik dakwah Islam.

Abstract

AbstractChildren should not given loads for seeking more income as beggar, singing beggar and scavenger, especially children who under age. This happened in residence of Gajah Wong river that parents mayority work as scavenger and singing beggar. Uniqely, based on Tim Advokasi Arus Bawah (TAABAH) sympaty together with Ledhok Timoho community developed education innovation for children who stayed in marginal area especially residence of Gajah Wong river which is named as Gajah Wong School. This research used qualitative method and to collect data researcher used interview way, documentation, and literature study. Researcher used diffusion and innovation theory to analysis data. The purpose of this research as an example that quality of education not always spending high price till education looks not balance. Whereas, children who stayed in residence of Gajah Wong river also need good quality of education. The result of this research is Gajah Wong School as one of examplesfor spreading creative and innovative education as sympaty action to children who stayed in marginal arean and balancing educationKeywords: Gajah Wong School, marginal education, diffusion, innovation AbstrakTidak seharusnya anak-anak diberikan beban untuk mencari nafkah di jalanan sebagai pemulung, pengemis dan pengamen, terlebih anak yang masih di bawah umur. Hal ini terjadi di pemukiman warga bantaran Sungai Gajah Wong yang mayoritas para orang tua bekerja sebagai pemulung dan pengamen jalanan. Uniknya, atas dasar kepedulian Tim Advokasi Arus Bawah (TAABAH) bekerjasama dengan komunitas Ledhok Timoho berdirilah inovasi pendidikan yang diperuntukkan untuk penduduk kawasan marginal bertempat di pemukiman warga bantaran Sungai Gajah Wong yang diberi nama Sekolah Gajah Wong. dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dan mengumpulkan data lewat wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Peneliti menggunakan teori difusi inovasi untuk menganalisa data yang telah peneliti peroleh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini sebagai bentuk contoh bahwa tidak selamanya pendidikan harus diimbangin dengan biaya yang tinggi, sehingga pendidikan terkesan tidak merata. Padahal anak-anak di kawasan marginal sangat penting untuk menerima asupan pendidikan yang baik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sekolah Gajah Wong sebagai salah satu contoh bahwa untuk menyampaikan pendidikan perlu adanya bentuk inovasi dan kreatifitas sebagai wujud peduli pada anak-anak di kawasan marginal dan pemerataan pendidikan.Kata kunci: Sekolah Gajah Wong, pendidikan marginal, difusi, inovasi

Abstract

This paper examined the fulfillment of shar’i sportswear facilities for Muslim women, with a case study in Living Sports Hijab. The main question in this research is how Muslim women's activities to exercise in public spaces are fulfilled by shar’i sportswear from Livigi Sports Hijab? To answer this question, the authors collected data through interviews, literature studies, and combined it with online data. This article examined by using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study that Livigi Sports Hijab is one of the best brands in Indonesia that provides shar’i sportswear facilities for Muslim women. The presence of Living Sports Hijab not only gives Muslim women freedom to exercise in public spaces but also supports Muslim women to maintain their health by exercising. This showed that women have the same rights as men to use public spaces as access to exercise. In addition, Living Sports Hijab also spread Islamic da’wa through social media accounts and through shar’i sportswear. Not only around Islamic da'wa, but also shared campaign to become a strong Muslimah. Thus, the conclusion of Living Sports Hijab as the object of this study showed that Muslim women also negotiate public spaces for exercise. Therefore, this paper contributes to enriching new discourses related to Muslim women, public spaces, and Islamic da’wa in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Artikel ini fokus membahas tentang ekspresi anak muda di tengah pandemi. Selama pandemi, aktivitas sosial dimediasi melalui teknologi komunikasi modern seperti media sosial. Kondisi ini mendukung munculnya berbagai ekspresi anak muda di media sosial, salah satunya dalam bentuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan keagamaan di TikTok. Untuk mengetahui lebih jauh terkait fenomena ini, penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang menekankan pada kerja etnografi virtual dan dianalisis dengan literatur-literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Husain Basyaiban, salah satu anak muda Muslim, aktif menggunakan TikTok melalui akun @basyasman00 untuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan keagamaan di masa pandemi. Meskipun secara sosiologis, TikTok menimbulkan polemik di satu sisi, tetapi di sisi lain menjadi peluang untuk membangun popularitas. Selain itu, sikap ekspresi di media sosial sejalan dengan upaya pembentukan identitas diri dan munculnya wacana narsistik.

Abstract

This article examined an Islamic cartoon film represennted by a popular title of Riko The Series movie. The basic question raised in this paper is how Riko The Series is utilized as a media for teaching Islam to society? This article employs a qualitative research method, using virtual ethnography and combined with literature study. The results show that Riko the Series is not only functioning as a media of teaching Islam, but also become a way to express Islamic identity, especially through clothes wearing by the family members of Riko the Series. Besides, Riko the Series also confirm how negotiation, as well as combination, between Islamic teachings and sciences is practiced. It can be concluded that this article shows how Riko the Series has a significant contribution in developing learning media of Islam, negotiating identity, and practicing a contemporary dakwah.Tulisan ini mengkaji kartun Islami, dengan studi kasus pada kartun Riko The Series. Dasar utama dalam tulisan ini adalah menjawab bagaimana kartun Riko The Series dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran Islami bagi masyarakat? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan mendasar ini, penulis melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan teori The Comunication Theory of Identity. Data dikumpulkan melalui virtual etnografi dan dikombinasikan dengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kartun Riko The Series tidak hanya menjadi media pembelajaran islami, tetapi juga menjadi cara mengekspresikan identitas muslim. Muslim memiliki banyak cara untuk mengekspresikan identitasnya, salah satunya melalui busana yang dikenakan oleh anggota keluarga Riko The Series. Selain itu, melalui studi kasus Riko The Series juga menunjukkan adanya praktik negosiasi dan kombinasi antara ajaran Islam dan ilmu sains. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini berkontribusi memperkaya wacana akademik terkait media dan totonan pembelajaran Islam, negosiasi identitas dan praktik dakwah kekinian.

Abstract

Berangkat dari prinsip irreversible dalam komunikasi dan penggunaan media sosial di kalangan anak muda yang meningkat signifikan dalam beberapa tahun belakangan ini, diperlukan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang literasi media. Tujuannya agar siswa di sekolah dapat menggunakan media sosial secara bijak dan tidak terjebak dalam penyalahgunaan media sosial. Dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pemutaran video selama dua hari, program pengabdian ini berupaya menjelaskan tentang bagaimana konsep-konsep media sosial, bagaimana dampak negatif media sosial, sejauh mana media sosial memberikan peluang positif bagi anak muda untuk berkreativitas di dalamnya, dan bagaimana menggunakan media sosial yang bijak. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias memahami tentang literasi media sosial dan bagaimana memanfaatkan media sosial untuk hal-hal positif. Terakhir, berdasarkan hasil pengabdian di atas, penulis merekomendasikan bahwa perlunya kerjasama dari berbagai pihak, baik guru, akademisi, orang tua, masyarakat, dan siswa, untuk memberikan literasi media kepada siswa dan menciptakan kegiatan-kegiatan kreatif dan positif di media sosial.

Abstract

Aceh is well known as a region that applies Islamic law as a whole. Times have brought about the intake of social changes which also have an influence on the social order of religion in Aceh. researcher examined through two main conditions, before and after special autonomy legitimation. This theme should to be examined because researcher argue there is Islamic content development in Aceh public space. This paper examines the Islamic public sphere in Aceh as an area with Islamic legitimacy. the author wants to see how the discourse on Islamic public space after the development of technology at the same time and after the conflict. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The author uses a virtual ethnography method. The result that the authors get is that the Islamic public sphere in Aceh has changed between before the special autonomy was passed and after the special autonomy. Obviously, the development of the Islamic public space in Aceh has been fed by technological developments after the 2004 tsunami.

Abstract

This article examines the Islamic cartoon film Nussa and Rara. The author used Nussa and Rara as a window to see the emergence of Islamic cartoon films. Its strengths are in conveying educational values to children and as a learning medium to build character education for children aged 12 years and under. To explain this phenomenon, the author employed the content analysis method and combined it with relevant data; those were strengthened by many research results and literature studies. Through this method, the author showed that Nussa and Rara movie shares Islamic value in each segment, such as the value of honesty, asking for prayers on time, respecting neighbors, and so on. The author tried to see how every figure, especially Umma as Nussa and Rara’s mother, explains and exemplifies how to be a good Muslim. Through this article, it could be concluded that films are not always judged to have a negative impact on the audience. Even films can contribute as a medium for education and dissemination of Islamic da'wah. Besides, through films, it can also contribute to building good character for children under 12 years of age. Some learning methods that can be used are the many steps or methods that can be planted in children, such as the habituation and storytelling methods. These methods can be used to apply the values of faith, moral values, and worship values. Thus, this article greatly contributes to enriching academic discourse related to character learning for children under 12 years of age. This article concluded that the Nussa and Rara cartoon film really strives to spread Islamic da'wah and build children's character from an early age with daily customs and begin to familiarize children to apply the values of Islamic teachings perfectly.
