Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the close relationship between feed adequacy and forage minerals with the pregnancy rate of Bali cattle in Jambi Province and to analyze differences in feed and mineral adequacy and the success of pregnancy in Bali cattle between high, medium and lowland areas in Jambi Province. The research method used in this research is survey and laboratory, with Stratified Random Sampling sampling technique, namely the highland area is represented by Kerinci Regency, the medium-land area is represented by Tebo Regency and the lowland area is represented by Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. To analyze the close relationship between feed adequacy and feed minerals with pregnancy rates for Bali cattle in Jambi Province, Pearson Correlation, Kendall's tau_b, and Spearman's rho analysis were used. To analyze the differences in the adequacy of feed and mineral feed and the pregnancy rate of Bali cattle between high, medium and lowland areas in Jambi Province, the average difference test was used. The adequacy of cattle feed in the highlands, medium and lowlands in Jambi Province averaged 107.04% ± 6.91. Bali cattle pregnancy rate in the highlands, medium and low in Jambi Province is an average of 74.60 ± 25.60. This study concludes that the pregnancy rate of Bali cattle varies between high, medium and lowland areas in Jambi Province with an average of good categories. There is a significant correlation between the mineral content of feed in the form of Zn and Se and P with the pregnancy rate of Bali cattle in Jambi Province. There is a significant relationship between blood mineral content in the form of Zn, Se and Mg with the pregnancy rate of Bali cattle in Jambi Province

Abstract

For the implementation of 8 family functions in Jambi Province, the majority of families in Jambi Province (86.60%) do not know about 8 family functions. The implementation of 8 family functions in Jambi Province was the most (43.82%) enough categories, religious functions, socio-cultural functions, love functions, protection functions, reproductive functions, socialization and education functions, economics, and environmental functions in urban families and Jambi Province villages are different except for environmental functions. For the activeness of family resilience in Jambi Province, it can be concluded that the majority of families in Jambi Province are unaware of the Tribina Activity Group (BKB, BKR, BKL), PIK R / M, UPPKS and PPKS. The higher the education of family heads, the higher the implementation of 8 family functions in Jambi Province.

Abstract

Research conducted at the Faculty of Animal Reproduction Laboratory Animal Edinburgh University, on May 8 through June 15, 2014. The material used is 30 straw frozen semen from the male dairy cows BIB Lembang. Materials and tools used are thermometer, microscope, glass objects, cover glass, container of liquid nitrogen gas, water bath, micropipette, stop watch, scissors, tissue rolls.The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments (P1, P2, P3, P4) and 6 replicates, The treatment is P1: room temperature 60 seconds, P2: Temperature 37 ° C for 30 seconds, P3: temperature of 50 ° C for 12 seconds and P4 temperatures of 70 ° C for 8 seconds.From the research shows that the thawing of frozen semen FH cows at room temperature for 60 seconds and 37 ° C for 30 seconds produces better sperm motility than other treatments, so that the lower the level of decline compared with the results obtained lower motility, the rate higher losses.Based on the results of this study concluded that long and thawing temperatures affect sperm motility, motility best is at 37 ° C for 30 seconds and room temperature for 60 seconds.Keyword : spermatozoa, dairy cows, thawing method

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the comparative success of artificial insemination (IB) between the Wallaby dara with Wallaby ever litter is in district Pemayung District Batanghari.The method used is the method surve. Data retrieval is done by noting the central services directly from artificial insemination Pemayung Sub District Batanghari. Livestock which sample is 15% of acceptors artificial insemination beef cattle with dara Bali Bali beraanak ever. Determination of sampling was done randomly (Simple Random Sampling).Data collected processed in descriptive and analyzed using Chi Square test and test t. To know the link between number of insemination should be done for every marital status kebuntingan, and the success of the kebuntingan one kaliu artificial insemination based on marital status, as well as the calculation of the number of service per consepsi.Based on the research results obtained in comparison to the fact that Conception Rate (CR) and Service per Consepsi (S/C) for beef and cattle ever dara increased and each is 45%; 48.88% and 2.22; 2.04. In addition, the results of the study also showed the absence of differences, the number of insemination should be done to produce a kebuntingan good on beef as well as beef ever dara litter (P > 0.05). Similarly, the success of the kebuntingan one time artificial insemination because it proved there is no entanglement result kebuntingan one time artificial insemination with marital status (p. > 0.05).Research results can be concluded that there is no difference between artificial insemination success Wallaby dara with Wallaby ever litter, reviewed the amount of the insemination must be made for each kebuntingan and kebuntingan success one time artificial insemination.Keywords: insemination, service per consepsi (S/C)

Abstract

The research was conducted in the laboratory of Department of Animal Husbandry UPTD Jambi Province, on March 23 to April 10, 2013. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature and duration of thawing and provide an overview of the effects of thawing method based on the use of different methods and duration of storage of spermatozoa temperature of dairy cows.The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, as treatment is longer and thawing temperatures following PI; room temperature 27 ˚ C for 60 seconds, P2; temperature of 37 ˚ C for 30 seconds, P3; temperature of 50 ˚ C for 12 seconds, P4; temperature of 70 ˚ C for 8 seconds, the observed variables that sperm motility and recovery rate of the fresh cement. Data was analyzed mengguanakan analysis of variance (ANOVA).Results of this study indicate that the thawing time and temperature affect the motility of frozen semen sap dairy (P <0,01). Each treatment on P1 thawing method: room temperature for 60 seconds, P2: temperature 37 ˚ C for 30 seconds, P3: temperature 50 ˚ C for 12 seconds and P4: a temperature of 70 ˚ C for 8 seconds. Best thawing method is the P2 treatment with optimal yield of 66.63% and is still fit for use for artificial insemination (AI).Conclusion is thawing spermatozoa method using a temperature of 37 ˚ C for 30 seconds to show the motility of frozen semen straw worth for dairy cows (IB).Keyword : use, thawing, spermatozoa

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of internal and external inseminator characteristics on the success of IB in Kerinci Regency. This research was conducted on December 12, 2020 to January 6, 2021. The objects observed in this study were all inseminators at each IB post in Kerinci Regency.The data obtained from this study are primary data and secondary data. The data were analyzed using Stepwise Multiple Regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that the success of artificial insemination in Kerinci Regency is good, this can be seen from the S/C value per inseminator of 1.69.The influence of internal characteristics (length of work, training intensity, accuracy, technical ability of straw management and estrus detection) and external (distance from house to work area, supporting facilities, condition of post IB, sanitation of tools and fittings) has an effect (P>0.05). Meanwhile, internal characteristics (responsibility) and external (voluntary rewards) have no effect (P>0.05) on the success of IB in Kerinci Regency. Based on this research, it can be concluded that not all internal and external characteristics affect the success of IB in Kerinci Regency.

Abstract

The use of protein with low-cost, high quality, low methane, and ammonia emissions are a prerequisite as a protein source in ruminant. However, the European Commission has prohibited protein derived from fish meals for ruminant feeds. So encouraging efforts to explore the other protein sources to be most important. Most of the high protein legumes grow in tropical areas such as Indonesia and have the potential as an alternative protein source in ruminant feed, including Indigofera zollingeriana (25-27% protein content). But many browse legumes with high protein are a heterogeneous group of plants, with variable secondary metabolic content and rumen degradable protein. The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the characteristics fermentation of IZ as green protein supplement on in vitro methane, ammonia and microbial protein production. The experiment was a completely randomized design with four different level supplementation of Indigofera zollengeriana (IZ) as green protein concentrate and five replications. The treatment diets were R0; basal diet (60% forage + 40% concentrate) + 0% IZ, R1; R0 + 10% IZ, R2; R0 + 20% IZ, and R3; R0 + 30% IZ. The experiment result showed that supplemenatation of IZ was significant effects (P<0.05) to increase total gas, ammonia (N-NH3), total volatile fatty acid (TVFA), and metabolizable energy (ME) and significant effect (P<0.05) to decrease of methane and methane percentage. Supplementation IZ at a level of 10% was significantly higher for dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), and microbial protein production (PPM) than diets treatment of R0, R2, and R3. The experiment concluded that Supplementation of I. zollingeriana (IZ) was able to reduce the methane gas production. Protein characteristics of IZ have easily degradable by rumen microbe showed the ammonia production was linearly increasing by 45.66% for each increasing level of IZ supplementation. Microbial protein production was higher (184.33 mg/ml) obtained of IZ supplementation up to 10% (R1). The experiment suggests doing protected protein of IZ when be used as a protein source in ruminant diets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the difference in the success rate of Artificial Insemination of Balinese cattle in Rimbo Bujang Subdistrict, Rimbo Ilir, and to know the influence of spermatozoa resistance and spermatozoa abnormality on the success of Artificial Insemination in Balinese cattle. The method used is the survey method, while the sample withdrawal technique is used clustering. Data analysis uses multiple linear regressions. The results showed that the success of Artificial Insemination based on Service per Conception (S/C) showed the number 1.56 means the success of IB is good, while judging from the calving interval (CI) value in cattle which is 12.9 months, it means it is ideal. It can be concluded that the success of Artificial Insemination (IB) is good, while motility is the success of Artificial Insemination (IB), as well as the percentage of life and spermatozoa abnormalities does not affect the success of Artificial Insemination (IB) in Balinese cows.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the laboratory of regional technical services Unit (UNIT) Petyernakan Agency of Jambi province, began on 24 April 2016 until May 22, 2016This research aims to know the effect of the use of skim milk with diluent tris egg yolk endurance against live spermatozoa. The research method used alphabets experiment, using Random Design Group (RAK) and 5 (five) treatment and 5 (five) groups. Asthe group is ejakulat. As for the moderate i.e. P0 = 100% + skim milk without diluent tris yolk, P1 = 95% skim milk + tris egg yolks 5%, P2 = 90% skim milk + tris egg yolks 10%, P3 = 85% skim milk + tris egg yolk 15%, P4 = skim milk 80% + 20% yolk tris.The results showed that the granting of skim milk with egg yolk tris diluent on P3 treatment gives a very real influence (P < 0.01) in maintaining the rate of decrease inendurance live bovine spermatozoa.Results of the study it was concluded that the awarding of the diluent skim milk until level 15% gives the best result, so was able to suppress the rate of decrease in endurance live bovine spermatozoa are stored for 2 days at a temperature of 5 ℃.Keywords: skim milk, egg yolks, endurance live spermatozoa bovine

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of communication factors, resources, disposition and bureaucracy on the implementation of the Upsus siwab program in Jambi City. This research was conducted on November 9, 2020 to December 5, 2020. The objects observed in this study were all officials and officers involved in the implementation of Upsus Siwab. The data obtained from this study are primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of the path analysis prove that the factors of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucracy have a significant effect on the implementation of Upsus Siwab in Jambi City.  Resource factor is the factor that has the greatest influence on the implementation of Upsus Siwab in Jambi City, followed respectively by the disposition, bureaucracy and communication factors. All factors have a positive influence, meaning that the increase in the quality and quantity of resource factors, disposition factors, bureaucratic factors and communication factors will be followed by a positive increase from the implementation of Upsus Siwab in Jambi City. All factors interact with each other so that efforts to increase the implementation of Upsus Siwab in Jambi City are carried out by increasing resource factors, disposition factors, bureaucratic factors and communication factors. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the factors of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucracy affect the implementation of Upsus Siwab in Jambi City.
