Abstract

The business environment is an important factor that will affect the running of a business. Changes in the business environment occur at various scales. There are times when this change so massively affects the business environment, so it is called a mega shift. Mega shifts that occur sometimes are in different time spans, but sometimes coincide. One of the mega shifts that occur is an increase in the leisure economy where people, especially the millennial generation, prefer experience-based economic activities. This study aims to determine the effect of information technology on employee performance, the effect of work facilities on employee performance, the effect of the use of information technology and work facilities on employee performance and employee performance mediating the effect of using information technology and work facilities on operational performance. The research method used is a survey of 116 respondents. Quantitative data processing method using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using Smart PLS 3.0 tool. The results show that (1) Information technology has an effect on employee performance in coffeeshops. If information technology increases, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance, (2) Work facilities affect the performance of employees in the coffeeshop. If work facilities increase, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance, (3) Information technology and work facilities have an effect on employee performance in coffeeshops. If information technology and work facilities increase, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance, (4) Employee performance mediates the effect of the use of information technology and work facilities on operational performance.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the world was shocked by the emergence of the Covid-19 virus, which spreads so massively and quickly and has fatal consequences for the human body. This has forced the world to make many changes, including making contact with humans to avoid the broader spread of the virus. These social restrictions have a significant impact on people's lives, one of the most felt impacts is the increasingly sluggish economic and business activities in Indonesia, including the tourism sector. As one element of a tourist location, stalls in tourist attractions must implement the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment Sustainability) protocol initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to ensure the safety of tourists who want to explore Indonesia. Therefore, an idea was made as a problem solver for stall business actors to understand and apply health protocols in every business activity. This activity provides guidance in the form of counselling and assistance regarding the application of standard health protocols in business activities during the transition period of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is intended to reduce the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus. In addition, this service activity can be one of the activities that provide practical benefits for stall business actors so that they can continue to carry out business activities during the transition period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the communication skills of prospective teachers in learning mathematics to build students' reasoning abilities. The research was carried out in class X SMAN 1 Lawang with 38 students and SMAN 1 Singosari with 40 students. The subjects of this research were KPL students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, State University of Malang, consisting of 2 students. Mathematics learning for prospective teachers is Graph material and Quadratic Functions. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The instruments in this study were interviews, field notes, and video recordings. The results of this study are that prospective teachers are able to communicate theorems and procedures well, according to the concept map material on Graphs and Quadratic Functions. Functions can be demonstrated through writing and geometric shapes by using mathematical interpretations from real life, performing calculations and predictions, explaining reasons why an answer can be accepted as a truth, finding an answer so as to be able to reveal connections and provide insight into the underlying mathematical structure. The exposition activities of prospective teachers through generalization activities of proof - proving the problems given help students get a truth, so that in this case the prospective teachers have succeeded in building students' reasoning. Errors that occur from a small number of students when making conclusions are expected to be minimized through a deeper study of mathematical communication to build student reasoning. Keywords: Teacher candidates, Mathematical Communication, Student Reasoning
