Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of storytelling technique using Malang mask puppets media to enhance the fairness of elementary school students’ character. The research design is true experiment with pretest-posttest one-group designs. The subject of research was ten students of grade VI Elementary School in Malang determined through the random assignment technique. Data collection instruments used questionnaires of character fairness and observation guidelines. Data analysis technique was used to test the effectiveness of the Storytelling technique using Wilcoxon test. The results of data analysis shows significant value (sig) 0.005> 0.05, which means that the hypothesis is accepted. So we can conclude that storytelling technique using a Malang mask media can improve effectively the character of fairness of grade VI elementary school students. The results of this study is useful for elementary school teachers and guidance and counseling teachers as an alternative to an effective technique to develop character fairness of elementary school students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research and development are as follows: 1) the media format description of the basic attitudes of the conservative model of DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) received by the media and lecturer (2) counselor of the DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) that is acceptable to media experts and prospective counselors (students). Based on the achievement of the two objectives of research and development, the basic attitude attitudes of the DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) as the research model will be produced. This research uses research and development research or development and research. Key words: DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA), Counselor Basic Attitude Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan adalah sebagai berikut: 1) diperoleh deskripsi format media sikap dasar konseloR rmodel DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) (SLA)yang dapat diterima oleh ahli media dan calon dosen (mahasiswa), 2) diperoleh deskripsi isi media sikap dasar konselor model DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) (SLA) yang dapat diterima oleh ahli media dan calon konselor (mahasiswa). Abstract

Efikasi diri karier merupakan keyakinan akan kemampuan dalam melakukan suatu usaha untuk mendapatkan keinginan dan menjadi berhasil di masa yang akan datang. Efikasi diri karier sudah semestinya dimiliki oleh mahasiswa program studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Nusantara PGRI (BK UNP) Kediri. Akan tetapi, fakta di lapangan ternyata hal ini menjadi problematik. Alternatif untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri karier mereka digunakan dua teknik yakni FGD dan Proses GURU. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data tentang perbedaan penggunaan FGD dengan Proses GURU terhadap efikasi diri karier mahasiswa S1 BK UNP Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-posttest two treatment design . Populasi yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa tingkat 4 angkatan 2016/2017 sedangkan sampel yang digunakan 12 mahasiswa tingkat 4 angkatan 2016/2017. Pengumpula data dalam penelitian menggunaka skala efikasi diri karier. Analisa data menggunakan uji Man-Whitney dengan hasil sig 0,687 ≥ 0,05, yang berarti Ho diterima. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data maka kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah tidak ada perbedaan antara penggunaan FGD dengan Proses GURU terhadap efikasi diri karier mahasiswa S1 BK UNP Kediri. Saran yang bisa diberikan, (1) dua teknik ini bisa menjadi alternatif bagi dosen BK untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri karier mahasiswa, (2) peneliti selanjutnya bisa menggunakan dua teknik ini dalam meningkatkan variabel penelitian yang lain.

Abstract

The results of the preliminary study found that the career maturity of SMK students was low, including a) students did not have plans for continuing their careers after graduating from school, b) students did not have an effort to find information on the chosen career major, c) students were not interested in reading information about the chosen career, and students have difficulty deciding where to go and what to do when they graduate from school. Researchers need to strive to increase the career maturity of vocational students. To measure the increase in career maturity in this effort, the researcher developed an instrument in the form of a valid and reliable vocational maturity scale for vocational students. Therefore, this article describes the validity and reliability test of the career maturity scale of vocational students which has been developed by the researchers themselves. Based on the results of the validity test that was given to 139 students of class XI SMK Pemuda Papar, 55 valid scale items were obtained with a table of 0.166 and a reliable level of 0.892. Of the 55 valid items, all represent every indicator of career maturity. Based on the validity and reliability test of the instrument, the career maturity scale can be used to measure the career maturity level of the Pemuda Papar Vocational School students at the next research stage.

Abstract

Abstract: The discriminative behavior upon individual personalities that multicultural counselors have frequently operated causes low neutrality in encountering an issue and individual labeling. That behavior indicates the counselors lack impartial character. Thus, this study aims to develop a guidance and counseling media of Badranaya (multicultural counseling board game) that promote unbiased character, referring to Semar’s great characters. It used modified Borg and Gall development procedures, while its data were obtained through valid and reliable experts assessment questionnaire and impartial character scale. The numerical data analysis results from guidance and counseling experts, as well as educational media development experts, signify that this media is highly feasible to be used. Meanwhile, the qualitative data from experts in the related fields also confirms the media’s feasibility to be adopted as a new educational media breaktrough, primarily in prospective counselors’ education. Additionally, the paired sample test results also show an increase in the multicultural counselors’ impartial character after they play Badranaya.Abstrak: Perilaku membeda-bedakan kepribadian individu satu dengan yang lain, kurang netral ketika menghadapi suatu permasalahan, dan munculnya pelabelan pada individu lain yang dilakukan oleh para calon konselor multibudaya sering kali terjadi. Perilaku tersebut menandakan kurangnya karakter adil pada calon konselor multibudaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan media bimbingan dan konseling untuk memperdalam karakter adil yang mengacu pada nilai luhur Semar. Media yang dipilih adalah Badranaya (Board game Karakter Konselor Multibudaya). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang dimodifikasi. Data penelitian digali menggunakan Kuesioner Penilaian Ahli dan Skala Pengukuran Karakter Adil yang valid dan reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data numerikal ada ahli materi bimbingan dan konseling serta ahli pengembangan media pendidikan, media dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan. Setelah ditandingkan dengan diskusi hasil data verbal pada ahli-ahli terkait ditarik sebuah kesimpulan bahwa media ini layak digunakan sebagai salah satu terobosan media pendidikan baru khususnya pada pendidikan calon konselor. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan paired sample test, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat karakter adil calon konselor multibudaya naik setelah memainkan Badranaya.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Roda Pelangi game to improve elementary school students’ fairness character. The research method was an experiment with a nonequivalent control group design type. The research instruments were: interview guidelines; observation guidelines; and Fairness Character Measurement Scale. The sample were twelve fourth grade students of Permata Ummat Trenggalek Integrated Islamic Elementary School that was chosen through purposive sampling. The significance score obtained based on data analysis using independent sample t-test was 0.047<0.05. The result showed Roda Pelangi game can improve elementary school students’ fairness character. Based on these results, it recommended: school counselor can use Roda Pelangi game in the guidance and counseling service process, especially to improve elementary school students’ fairness character; further researchers can use Roda Pelangi game to examine other variables and at other school levels using other research designs such as true experiment or guidance and counseling action research.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan permainan Roda Pelangi untuk meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan jenis nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pedoman wawancara; pedoman observasi; dan Skala Pengukuran Karakter Fairness. Sampel berjumlah dua belas siswa kelas IV SD Islam Terpadu (IT) Permata Ummat Trenggalek yang dipilih secara purposif. Skor signifikansi yang diperoleh berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test adalah 0,047<0,05. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa permainan Roda Pelangi dapat meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa SD. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka disarankan: guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dapat menggunakan media permainan Roda Pelangi dalam proses layanan BK, khususnya untuk meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa SD; peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan media permainan Roda Pelangi untuk meneliti variabel lain dan pada jenjang sekolah lainnya menggunakan desain penelitian lain seperti true experiment maupun penelitian tindakan BK.DOI: https://doi.org/10.17977/um001v3i32018p108

Abstract

It is very important for multicultural counselor to have fairness character. At school, there is an issue of less professionalism counselors because of less fairness character. The results of preliminary study conducted at undergraduate’s students of Guidance and Counseling Department at University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri prove that the students as candidate of counselor still discriminate the personality of counselee, less neutral when counselee tells the problem, and give labeling on counselee. Therefore, it is important to do special interventions to improve their fairness character become competent multicultural counselors. To Intervent the candidate of counselors can use certain media such as BADRANAYA (Multi-Cultural Character Board-game Counselor). The aim of this research is to develop BADRANAYA which can be accepted theoritically and practically. The research method used is research and development (Borg & Gall 1983). At present, the research process is in the third procedure namely the Development of Initial Product Draft, one of them is preparation of instruments.The validity and reliability are very important to obtain valid data regarding the level of fairness character for candidate of multicultural counselors. This article is limited to the validity and reliability of the Fairness Character Measurement Scale. Based on the results of the validity which is tested to 32 undergraduate students at University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri obtained 12 valid items with a reliability index of 0.834. The 12 items also have a very high reliability index that is represented each indicator of fairness character. While the results of the validation of the instrument, the fairness character measurement scale can be used as a measurement of the fairness character of candidate multicultural counselors in the next research procedure.

Abstract

The person-centered counseling approach has evolved in applications ranging from nondirective, client-centered, and student-centered to people-centered approaches. This paper describes the application of person-centered counseling in guidance and counseling services. The research method used a literature study. The results of the study and analysis were synthesized using a narrative method by grouping information or data according to the objectives of the study. The results showed that in order to truly achieve effective results from the implementation of person-centered counseling, the main attitudes the counselor needs to have are conformity, unconditional positive understanding, and understanding of empathy. The results of the study can also be discussed topics in group guidance services, individual counseling, and group counseling.

Abstract

Prokrastinasi adalah kegiatan menunda-nunda pekerjaan atau aktivitas tertentu atau tugas yang sudah diketahui dari awal. Guru BK di SMK menghadapi beberapa permasalahan terkait Prokrastinasi peserta didik, termasuk kurangnya pemahaman tentang pengalaman siswa, kesulitan dalam memberikan penanganan yang tepat, dan kekurangan alat ukur yang sesuai. Pengabdian ini bertujuan agar guru BK yang tergabung di MGBK SMK Kota Kediri mendapatkan keterampilan yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat Prokrastinasi peserta didiknya. Dalam mencapai tujuan, tim pengabdian masyarakat menerapkan metode ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) . dalam aplikasinya, metode tersebut dilakukan mulai dari menentukan kekuatan, memetakan, mengidentifikasi dan analisis, memobilisasi, serta memonitoring dan evaluasi. Hasilnya adalah pelatihan instumen non kognitif Prokrastinasi Tuckman bermanfaat diberikan kepada guru BK yang tergabung dalam komunitas MGBK SMK Kota Kediri.
