Abstract

This paper is aimed at examining the Heidegger's ideas in dealing with the current crisis in higher education. Such issues as instrumentalization, professionalization, vocationalization, and technologization in today's modern university have resulted in the increasing hyper-specialization and ruinous fragmentation of its all aspects. On this stand, Heidegger offers an ontological conception of education that is purposefully capable of bringing about a renaissance of the university. Inspired by the Plato’s popular ‘allegory of the cave’, Heidegger both excavates and appropriates the original Western educational ideal of Platonic paideia. In addition, The Heidegger's notion of ontological education could be considered as a philosophical perfectionism, a re-essentialization of the currently empty ideal of educational ‘excellence’ by which Heidegger believes we can reconnect teaching to research and, ultimately, reunify and revitalize the university itself.

Abstract

This research is aimed at knowing the Islamic law of greeting non-Muslims. This research is based on the questions of which texts of the Qur'an and the Hadith showing greetings to Muslims and non-Muslims, what views of Muslim scholars about saying greetings to Muslims and non-Muslims, and what the historicity, meaning and legal implications of hadith regarding the prohibition of greetings to non-Muslims. Through literature studies, it is found that in the Qur'an and the Hadith there are several texts showing about greetings to non-Muslims as in the QS. al-Furqon, 63; QS. an-Nisa', 86; and QS. an-Nur, 27; and in the Hadith of Bukhari number 6258 and number 6926 and the Hadith of Muslim number 2163. However, there are different views among Muslim scholars in understanding the texts of the Qur'an and the Hadith about the possibility of greeting non-Muslims. Firstly, some Muslim scholars who do not allow greetings to non-Muslims with the argument of the hadith narrated from Abu Hurairah ra. Secondly, some Muslim scholars among the Prophet's companions, Ibn Abbas allowed to say greetings to non-Muslims because seeing the context of the prohibition of saying greetings to non-Muslims is when non-Muslims fought against the Prophet and Muslims.

Abstract

In the early 1990s, several Islamic schools began to declare themselves as elite and excellent Islamic schools. Excellent Islamic schools provide a new paradigm in the history of Islamic education in this country. Islamic education which was initially only oriented to the interests of the ukhrawi, has now begun to touch worldly aspects and began to position the fields of science and technology at a strategic level. The first excellent Islamic school was the al-Azhar and then followed by the al-Izhar in Pondok Labu Jakarta, Cendikia Senior High School Serpong, Madania High School in Parung, LPI Sabilillah Malang, and MI Murni Sunan Drajat Lamongan. To see the quality of excellent or high-quality schools, schools must achieve a minimum of National Education Standards which include: 1. Graduates Competency Standards; 2. Content Standards; 3. Educators and Education Personnel Standards; 4. Process Standards; 5. Facilities and Infrastructure Standards; 6. Financing Standards; 7. Management Standards; 8. Educational Assessment Standards. This is the minimum requirement for becoming a quality or excellent school, when the National Education Standards have been met, the quality standards of education can be carried out in the form of: a. Quality standards based on local excellence b. Quality standards that adopt or adapt international curriculum standards, or other quality standards. Keywords: Islamic, elite, excellent schools

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. As the majority religion, of course Islam becomes a religion that has a wealth of internal dynamics, both in the context of Islam itself and in the context of Indonesia. This paper discussed that Islam in Indonesia has long-standing organizations. The existence of Islamic organizations even existed though Indonesia had not yet been independent. In this research, the writers conducted a typology of Islamic organizations standing before and after independence including their respective movement orientation. Of the many Islamic organizations considered quite old, the al-Irsyad is one of the Islamic organizations contributing to its historical footprint. Various figures of independence, national figures and even among the scholars were born from the womb of this organization. With a relatively large number of followers, this mass organization oversees educational institutions ranging from elementary to upper secondary levels, which have to this day still existed and continued to reproduce the nation's cadres.

Abstract

Abstract: Talking about religious tolerance in Indonesia is not something new. Because, in Indonesia religious tolerance has been been well-preserved for a long time. However, there have been strong indications of "involvement" of foreign parties willing to intervene in the country lately. So that the long-standing tolerance for tens or even hundreds of years has likely met disturbances that "pollute" religious tolerance in Indonesia as explained by Prof. Muhammad Tholhah Hasan in his book, "Multicultural Education as an Option of Preventing Radicalism". Likewise in some works of the cleric who once served as Minister of Religious Affairs in the era of Gus Dur. However, there were several criticisms of the Tolchah Hasan’s work, for example; 1). The theme of Indonesian Islam so-called as Islam Nusantara, no longer leads to the so-called Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin, because Indonesian Islam or Nusantara Islam has so far become a manifestation of Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin itself, 2). The work is actually a reflection material from a large amount of data on scientific references and developments in newspapers and television shows as well as inadequate field data directly, 3). The work actually really deserves to be a reference to Indonesian Islamic thought, it's just that the standards of scientific research have not been used completely, for example using a systematic writing methodology, having clear informants, having a clear research location and various other scientific research standards. Keywords: Islam, tolerance, Muhammad Tholhah Hasan

Abstract

Religius teachings that are considered to have long oppressed womenthe teachings that have been domination by men have been used as a justification for community perception that are very detrimental to women.however, this criticism of gender inequality in discusseions with human rights does not only return to the misperception of the people.feminists also maintain a great deal about the concept of humen rights it self.fundamental criticism by questioning the return of international law to its maker. The qur’an has the principle that men and women are the same as servants, because men and women are created from the same subtance (kholifatullah fiilardh),and the same obligations ( liya’budun) however,in the matter of reconciliation, the ulama’ agree that reconciliation is an absolute right of the husband. In the gender perspective if you see some possible understanding that women can submit referals as their right to their husband by conducting a new analysis of  the issue of referral rights’ which so far has been suggested to be dominated by men ( husband) by redeeming the rights of husband who was given to him. And with the khulu’ also the wife also has the right to the right of reconciliation to the husband who has dropped divorce on him.
