Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in students’ mathematical intuition abilities. Differences were reviewed by gender, through Open-ended Inquiry-Based Learning. The design of this study was a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Experiment. The subject of this study was 156 seventh graders of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bekasi, 77 male, and 79 female students. Data were analyzed with the help of SPSS. The result of this study showed p-value > ? (0,174 < 0,05). That means there was not different in mathematical intuition ability of male and female students.

Abstract

This research was to know students' achievement and improvement risk-taking attitudes in grade 7 at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bekasi City towards mathematics through Inquiry-Based Open-Ended (IBOE) learning. This research is quantitative research with the research design Non-equivalent Pre and Post-test Control-Group Design. There are 156 students as a sample. It was taken using the purposive sampling technique from two Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). Seventy-seven students in the experimental class (IBOE) and 79 students in the control class (Direct Learning: DL). They were grouped according to previous mathematics abilities (level high, medium, and low).  The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 17 valid statements adopted from the Domain-Specific Risk-Taking (DOSPERT) scale. The results of this research were reviewed based on early mathematical skills, achievement of the process of building a risk-taking attitude for MTs students. Students who received IBOE learning were no better than students who received DL.  Meanwhile, based on the early mathematical skills, students who increase in building a risk-taking attitude received IBOE learning was better than students who received DL.

Abstract

Meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bekasi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Accelerated Instruction (TAI) merupakan tujuan penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dalam tiga siklus. Subjek yang diteliti 40 peserta didik kelas VIII ketika mempelajari materi teorema pythagoras. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan lembar observasi, tes bentuk uraian, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menemukan pada siklus I, rata-rata aktivitas peserta didik pada seluruh aspek yang diteliti baru mencapai 2,0, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 2,8 dan pada siklus III menjadi 3,6 dari skor maksimal 4,0. Rata-rata hasil tes pada siklus I yang mencapai KKM baru 35%, pada siklus II meningkat 62,5%, dan pada siklus III menjadi 87,5%.  Peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II 27,5% dan dari siklus II ke siklus III 25%. Karena indikator keberhasilan penelitian sudah tercapai, maka penelitian dihentikan pada siklus III. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan, upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi teorema pythagoras melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI berhasil mencapai target penelitian dengan pencapaian ketuntasan pada siklus III sebesar 87,5%.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in mathematics learning on students' reflective thinking skills and self-regulated learning. The researchers employed the quantitative-qualitative method. The quantitative data was obtained through pretest and posttest, and qualitative data were obtained through interviews with three students selected using a purposive random sampling technique. The research subjects were selected using the accidental sampling technique because it was still in the new normal era of the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects consisted of 33 eighth-grade students. The data was collected using test instruments and questionnaires. Furthermore, the data was tested using the independent sample t-test. This research found three results. First, there was a significant increase in reflective and self-regulated thinking skills through the application of the PBL model. Second, based on the t-test, there was a reflective thinking skills difference between pretest and posttest, with a higher score was found in the posttest. Third, there was no self-regulated learning difference between the pretest and posttest.

Abstract

Kompetensi profesional merupakan satu kompetensi pendidik yang harus dimiliki  guru PAUD. Menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran merupakan bagian dari kompetensi profesional. Perencanaan pembelajaran dimulai dari program semester, rencana perencanaan pembelajaran mingguan (RPPM) dan rencana perencanaan pembelajaran harian (RPPH). Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran merupakan salah satu hal penting yang harus  diperhatikan oleh tenaga pendidik khususnya pada pendidik anak usia dini. Dalam memberikan sebuah kegiatan pembelajaran yang baik kepada para peserta didik, harus dibuat RPPH. RPPH ini memiliki berbagai macam peran penting dalam sebuah kegiatan pembelajaran, diantaranya dapat mempermudah pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran karena di dalam RPPH terdapat tujuan, metode, dan media yang akan digunakan ketika kegiatan belajar berlangsung. Selain itu, RPPH juga dapat menjadi sebuah acuan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran agar pendidik mampu terus berinovasi dalam menciptakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi peserta didik. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (PkM) berupa pelatihan diikuti oleh guru-guru PAUD di Desa Ciadeg Cigombong. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari. Adapun tim dosen yang melaksanakan kegiatan PkM berjumlah 8 orang yang kesemuanya merupakan dosen lintas prodi di STKIP Kusuma Negara. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta latihan melalui pretes dan postes secara lisan, dan dilihat dari hasil evaluasi membuat perangkat administrasi pembelajaran meliputi program semester, RPPM, dan RPPH.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of organizational justice on the trust of Tangerang Regency private junior high school teachers. In the analysis will get more detailed results related to organizational justice variables with the indicators and trust with the indicators. This research used SEM (Structural Equition Model) method. Data collection technique used a questionnaire. The sample of this study involved 273 people through random proportional selection. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling in inferential statistics. The results of this study indicate that there was a direct effect of organizational justice on the confidence of Tangerang regency private junior high school teachers. The dominant indicators of organizational justice variables which contributed was neutrality at 18.26%, while the dominant trust variable which contributed was consistency at 23.71%.

Abstract

The abilities that must be mastered by high school students according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum include reasoning. Students who have good reasoning abilities make it easier to understand mathematics. But in reality there are still many students who have low mathematical reasoning ability, seen when they have difficulty solving math problems. This research objective is to prove the habit of solving open-ended problems that can improve the mathematical reasoning ability of junior high school students based on the level of initial mathematical ability: high, medium, and low. The study used an experimental method with a "One-Group pre-test post-test design". Randomly, selected 77 grade VII students of SMP Negeri in Bekasi as a sample. The prerequisite test shows that each level of data comes from groups that are normally distributed and homogeneous. The results showed normal gain, both overall and level showed improvement. Based on the t test obtained p value of 0.000 < 0.005, meaning this study can prove student habits in solving open-ended problems when learning mathematics on triangles and quadrilateral, can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir intuisi, dan penalaran matematis peserta didik yang mendapat pembelajaran Inquiry Berbasis Open-ended dan pembelajaran biasa. Peningkatan ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM tinggi, sedang, dan rendah). Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control-group design. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 156 peserta didik kelas 7 Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Bekasi, terdiri dari dua kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas kontrol dipilih secara purposive. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal bentuk uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan intuisi dan penalaran matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Secara keseluruhan dan KAM, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir intuisi matematis peserta didik yang mendapat pembelajaran Inquiry Berbasis Open-ended lebih baik dari pembelajaran biasa. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis pada KAM tinggi dan rendah, lebih baik pada kelas pembelajaran Inquiry Berbasis Open-ended dibandingkan kelas pembelajaran biasa. Namun secara keseluruhan dan KAM sedang, kelas pembelajaran Inquiry Berbasis Open-ended tidak lebih baik dibandingkan kelas pembelajaran biasa.Kata Kunci: Intuisi, Penalaran, Inquiry Berbasis Open-ended.

Abstract

Pembuktian matematis merupakan bagian dari kemampuan matematika yang harus dimiliki siswa, namun masih sulit dipahami dan dilakukan siswa. Guru harus memerlukan strategi yang tepat untuk melatih kemampuan pembuktian dan dilakukan secara kontinu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membuktikan nilai pi pada materi lingkaran sebagai awal agar siswa menyukai proses belajar bermakna dengan menemukan pembuktian nilai π. Subjek yang diteliti adalah 56 siswa kelas 8 di SMP Negeri 4 Cikarang Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan pada tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 dalam dua siklus dengan empat tahapan (perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi). Instrumen sebagai alat pengumpul data menggunakan lembar tugas bentuk essay secara individu dan kelompok, lembar pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 diperoleh aspek-aspek keaktifan siswa pada saat KBM rata-rata meningkat. Kemampuan pembuktian nilai π pada siklus 1 baru mendapat kan nilai π = 3,27 meningkat lebih teliti pada siklus 2 menjadi 3,15. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pembuktian nilai π.

Abstract

The purpose of the research for to know the difference mathematical generalization ability of student are taught by use guided discovery learning and expository. The research was held at SMPN 21 Bekasi in second semester academic year 2016-2017. The sample is class VII.2 and VII.5 (76 students). This research used quasi-experimental with statistic group comparison or post-test-only with nonequivalent groups design. Instrument be used is an essay test to measure mathematical reflective thinking ability. Before tested instrument analyzed by correlation product moment to test the validity, reliability by formula alpha cronbach and an index of the lurch. The data is analyzed firstly be done test regulation is test normality with Lilliefors and also test homogeneity by using Fisher. The result of normality test of class experiment and control can be conclude that both of the sample are from normal distribution. While the result of homogeneity test can be conclude the population of both have a homogeneity variance. The result of research were obtained t result is 5,29 with significance ? is 0,05. The result of research showed a difference mathematical generalization ability of student through guided discovery learning and expository.
