Abstract

The purposes of this research are to: (1) describethe achievement in learning mathematics of the students taught using the CTL method and Open -Ended method, (2) compare the achievement in learning mathematics of the students taught using the CTL method and Open-Ended method,(3) compare the effect of student’ mathematics learning styles on their achievement, (4) describe the interaction of teaching methods and the students’ mathematics learning styles on their achievement. This research used a quasi-experimental research design using two experimental groups, they are group of CTL and group of Open-Ended. The instrument using for collect data are test for collect the mathematics achievement data and questionnaire for collect the mathematics learning styles data. The analysis of the data used the multivariate analysis with a two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells, and the post-hoc test involving the Bonferroni procedure. The results of the research are as follows:(1)the achievement in learning mathematics of the students taught usingboth of the CTL and Open-Ended method are well, (2) the achievement in learning mathematics of the students taught using the CTL method are better than Open-Ended, (3) there is an effect of learning style on their achievement, with visual learning styles is better than auditorial learning styles, (4) there is no interaction of teaching method and students’ mathematics learning styles on their achievement in mathematics in the material on opportunities. Keywords: CTL, Open-Ended, learning styles, achievement

Abstract

Tracer Study is important to be done, with the implementation of tracer studies will be obtained feedback can reveal useful information for Physical Education and Study programs can then be used for the improvement and quality assurance for internal and external quality assurance. This study aims to determine 1) Profile Physical education graduate study program, 2) Suitability Education Graduates by type of work, 3) to determine the input graduates for the development of Physics Education Study Program This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. This study took a random sample. Data collection was done by using questionnaires and documentation. Analysis of data using statistical descriptive analysis in the form of tabulation and visualization in the form of pictures and graphics. The results showed that the profile of a graduate program of study Physical Education variegated, amounting to 92% consistently worked as a science teacher at the junior high and high school physics teacher. By 75% the salaries of graduates of Physics Education> 1 million. This means public recognition of the Physical Education graduates is quite high. Conformance level of education obtained by the type of work, the graduates who worked as a teacher of Physics at the equivalent of high school, 85% support the work, for a science teacher for 60% support for the work and other work only 30% support the work. The waiting period physical education graduate study program is as much as 96% get a job <6 months. Put alumni to study Physical Education Program is room for improvement in the field of infrastructure, soft skills, learning and quality of lecturers. Keywords: Tracer study, graduates, physics

Abstract

This classroom action research deals with the implementation of collaborative writing in Scientific Writing subject. This research aims to describe how collaborative writing can be used to improve thecollaborative skill and motivation among the students of Natural Science Education Department. It was conducted in the Natural Science Education Department of the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University for six months. The number of subject is 37 students. The researcher used observation sheets including lecture observation sheet, students’ activity observation sheet used to know the implementation of collaborative writing, cooperative observation sheet used to know the cooperation among students and questionaire used to know students’ motivation after the implementation of collaborative writing. The research reported that there was an improvement of students’ cooperation in every cycle. Besides, it was also shown that there was an improvement of students’ motivation in cycle I from 87.8% to 87% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the average score of students’ writing also increased from 80.5 in cycle I to 84.2 in cycle II.Keywords: collaborative writing, motivation, cooperation

Abstract

The phenomenon of depletion of prosocial behavior has occurred among children, this is influenced by the activities of children's games are dominated by the type of game that is individual. This problem becomes important because the child's age contributes greatly to the formation of personality. This study aims to determine prosocial behavior in terms of androgyny role in scout activities in elementary school children in Yogyakarta. The subjects of the study were V grade children of elementary school. The total subjects involved amounted to 100 children (34 boys and 66 girls). Measuring tool used is prosocial scale and androgini scale. Data were analyzed by using Product Moment Correlation. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between prosocial behavior with androgyny role in scout activities in elementary school children. This means that the higher the androgyny role the higher the prosocial behavior.

Abstract

Herbs are one of the natural wealth of Indonesia that has been used for generations. But unfortunately, the prestige is so legendary that the less there is a follow up. Not many young people who know the herbs and usefulness. This is due to the progress of society with owned facilities have come to globalizing mainstrem life in the 21st century, including the handling of health problems. Beauty of herbs need to be preserved because the longer it is already fading, and fear that the future will be lost. It can be anticipated by utilizing the "Beauty of Herbs" in science lessons. Learning science can do to help raise environmental awareness education to be able to face the challenges of the environmental crisis in the 21st century with "linking knowledge to action".Keywords: beauty of herbs, learning science, environment awareness.

Abstract

D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 (read: de nyon nyon en de nyin nyin) is a character with expressive lines form a sketch. D'nyon2 inspired by the face of Setyo Eko Widodo (Dodo), and the inspiration of D'nyin2 came from Septi Asri Finanda face (Septi). Dodo and Septi face is deformed into the shape of the sketches. The formation of face D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 begins with circular line as a deform step of the face Septi and Dodo by maintaining the character of each face. D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 applied to the commercial fashion products with the brand www.dnyonnyin.com. The presence of D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 to the commercial fashion products requires managing of an integrated of visual communications media to promote the products of www.dnyonnyin.com. Media management to an integrated visual communication is done as a brand awareness of the existence of D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 to the audience. Expressive power of D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 line sketches applied to the integrated visual communications media that will be designed with the underscore of the concept hand drawing illustration of the visual elements that are present in the form of drawings. Brand activation of D’nyon2 n D'nyin2 aims to increase brand awareness of the products www.dnyonnyin.com and bring up the interaction between www.dnyonnyin.com to the target audience so that it can create the experience of the target audience of www.dnyonnyin.com. Brand activation programs D’nyon2 n D' nyin2 is packed with activities sketch on stage with D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 that involves the audience to the event held thus stimulating the openness audience to try and buy the products of www.dnyonnyin.com. Brand activation of D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 tried plugging the image as a friend of the target audience with the benefits offered. The benefits provided are fun, humor, excitement when the target audience using the products of www.dnyonnyin.com. The existence taglines of D'nyon2 n D'nyin2 "Love Everybody Around You" became a message that is unique, different, and interesting as the positioning of the brand activation. Brand activation strategies D'nyon2 n D'nyin, first, is to seek insight consumer insight through the consumer journey of the target audience to find a point of contact. Second, determine the theme. Third, determine the media campaign. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang persepsi mahasiswa, perilaku mahasiswa, dan pengaruh persepsi terhadap perilaku makan pagi. Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perilaku makan pagi merupakan pandangan atau pengamatan seseorang /mahasiswa terhadap suatu obyek  yaitu makan pagi. Makan pagi atau sarapan merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan seseorang di pagi hari sebelum melakukan kegiatan /aktivitas. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perilaku makan pagi . Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif . Populasi penelitian ini  adalah seluruh mahasiswa Prodi  PKK, JPTK, FKIP, UST yang berjumlah 282 responden. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sampel, karena tidak meneliti seluruh populasi, besar sampel dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus sloven yaitu 165 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket . Angket sebelum digunakan diuji validitasnya menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment  dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif  dan analisis korelasi Product Moment didahului dengan uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas dan uji linieritas. Hasil analisis diskriptif menunjukkan bahwa  persepsi mahasiswa pada kategori cukup (55,8%), perilaku makan pagi  pada kategori cukup (67,9 %). Hasil analisis korelasi Product Moment, diperoleh r hitung = 0,297  . Nilai r table  pada taraf signifikan 5% untuk N=165 adalah 0,148 ( r xy 0,297 > r table  0,148 ). Dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan variable persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perilaku makan pagi. Nilai tersebut didukung dengan harga koefisien determinan sebesar 0,88, artinya besarnya sumbangan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perilaku makan pagi sebesar 88,0%  sedangkan sisanya 12,0 %  dipengaruhi oleh factor lain, seperti keadaan ekonomi, lingkungan keluarga, kesempatan dan sebagainya. Kata kunci : persepsi mahasiswa, perilaku makan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of ethical leadership and organizational commitment to employee performance, as well as the influence of ethical leadership on organizational commitment. The rp was carried out as a survey. The population of this study were all employees in the city of Yogyakarta batik cooperatives. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. Number of samples was 37 people, 8 people from enlisted KBTamtama, 9 people from KB Senopati, 6 people from KB PPBI, 7 people from Coral Single Family Planning, and 7 people from KB Mataram. Data were collected using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Scale measurements using 5-point Likert scale. Hypothesis testing is done by using multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis. The results showed: (1) ethical leadership had positive and significant effect on employee performance (b = 0755; p = 0.000 <0.05). The implication, the better implementation or application of ethical leadership from the head, then the employee's performance is likely to increase; (2) organizational commitment had positive and significant impact on employee performance (b = 0.490; p = 0.002 <0.05). The implication, the stronger the organizational commitment of employees, then the employee's performance is likely to increase; and (3) ethical leadership hadpositive and significant effect on organizational commitment (b = 0629; p = 0.000 <0.05). The implication, the better implementation or application of ethical leadership of the leadership, the organizational commitment of employees tend to increase. Keywords : ethical leadership, organizational commitment, employee performance, purposive sampling.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMK Batik Perbaik Purworejo  dalam memproduksi teks eksplanasi, yang secara khusus tercermin dalam kemampuan (1) menentukan topik dan tujuan menulis, (2) menyusun kerangka teks eksplanasi, dan  (3) mengembangkan dan menyunting karangan. Metode yang diggunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan  rancangan penelitian tindakan. Rancangan penelitian disusun dalam satuan siklus dengan sistem berulang. Setiap siklusnya berisi aktivitas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dengan penerapan teknik menulis-total gaya SAVI, kemampuan siswa  dalam menulis teks eksplanasi menjadi meningkat. Peningkatan kemampuan tersebut tercermin pada hasil rerata tugas proses pembelajaran (TPP) dan tugas mandiri (TM) yang diperoleh siswa. Hasil TPP dan TM dari siklus ke siklus semakin meningkat. Rerata hasil TPP siklus 1 sebesar 73 %, dibandingkan dengan rerata hasil tes diagnostik terdapat peningkatan sebesar 17% (73%-56%). Rerata hasil TPP siklus 2 sebesar 85% dibandingkan dengan rerata hasil TPP siklus 1 terdapat peningkatan 12% (85%-73%). Rerata hasil TM pun meningkatan. Rerata hasil TM siklus 1 sebesar 69% , jika dibandingkan dengan hasil tes diagnostik terdapat peningkatan sebesar 15% (69%-54%). Rerata hasil TM siklus 2 sebesar 80% dibandingkan dengan rerata hasil TM siklus 1 terdapat peningkatan sebesar 11% (80%-69%). Dengan demikian, penerapan menulis-total gaya SAVI sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampun siswa dalam menulis pada siswa kelas XI SMK Batik Perbaik Purworejo terbukti efektif. Di samping itu, tampak bahwa pembelajaran dengan penerapan menulis-total gaya SAVI dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa karena dapat mengoptimalkan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan angket respon siswa yang menyatakan mereka senang belajar dengan menulis-total gaya SAVI.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of effective questioning technique in IPA 1 subject in improving high order thinking skills of students. Besides that, the research aims to determine the improvement of high order thinking skills of students that follow the instruction based on effective questioning technique in IPA 1 subject. The research method used isquasi experimental research with control-group pre-test post-test design. The population of this research is students of Elementary School Teacher Education Department that attends IPA 1 subject in the academic year 2014/2015. Research sample determines by simple random sampling techniques with 50 students in experiment class and 47 students in control class. Technique of data analysis which is used in this research is test of high order thinking skills. Hypothesis testing method used is Mann Whitney test. The result showed that the effective questioning techniqueis effective to improve higher-order thinking skills of students. The improvement of high order thinking skills of students who follow the instruction based on effective questioning technique in IPA 1 subject is 88,03% with the effect size of the use of effective questioning technique in experiment class is 54,47%.Key words: effective questioning technique, high order thinking skills   , IPA 1
