Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the pre-existing forms of creativity that the community will undertake and identify ways to increase community income. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach by taking a sample of 125 people from 650 existing populations. The results showed that the price sold by Saung Angklung Udjo with the indication that was presented based on the brochure was directly proportional, namely good. The performance of Saung angklung Udjo slightly reduces the sacred value in Sundanese culture because it changes its function to become a commercial performance. The emergence of Saung Angklung Udjo influenced the emotional motives of the millennial generation who were satisfied and happy with the appearance of Saung Angklung Udjo, thereby increasing the attractiveness of creative tourism. The Saung Angklung Udjo demonstration can provide investment opportunities, such as setting up a restaurant and a gift shop. Keywords: Creativity; Tourists; Income

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of work environment and job satisfaction towards employee retention. A questionnaire-based survey was distributed to Main Kitchen employees of the First Love Patisserie Jakarta. This study used descriptive, quantitative and verification approach with saturation sampling method. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25. The result showed : (1) there is a positive influence of work environment towards employee retention based on t-value with significant value < 0,005 and the regression coefficient has positive value; (2) there is a positive influence of job satisfaction towards employee retention which is showed by t-value with significant value < 0,005 and the regression coefficient has positive value; (3) there is a positive influence of work environment and job satisfaction simultaneously towards employee retention based on F value. Work environment and job satisfaction simultaneously influence employee retention showed by result of adjusted R2. The practical implications of this study are that work environment and job satisfaction play important role in supporting employee retention., where job satisfaction has a more positive influence than the work environment. Abstract

Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has the natural resources with the potential of beauty and geological diversity which are the result of the past process that potentially become a geotourism area. This research is conducted to identify the potential of geosites, by finding and mapping geological sites scattered in this region. The research is conducted by using literature review methods, field observations, laboratory analysis, geological site assessment analysis. Geosite assesment analysis method is done by using assessment according to Kubalikova, 2013 which is used to provide an assessment of the feasibility of the geological sites location. The result of quantitative analysis of the assessment method that is conducted shows that there are only 8 (eight) geological sites that are possible to be developed into geotourism objects. Based on all the sites found, 2 (two) routes of geotrack tour were made, namely the west route and the east route. Keywords: Bantul; Geosite; Kubalíková; Geotourism

Abstract

Malioboro is the pulse of economic activity in the city of Yogyakarta. The availability of public open space to carry out various activities in Malioboro area has also become a special interest for the community and tourists besides shopping. The activities of sitting, relaxing, taking pictures, watching cultural arts events, and getting around the city by pedicab or horse cart are activities that commonly carried out by tourists in the Malioboro area. The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred has more or less changed the condition of Malioboro. Changes and quality improvements are carried out including in public open space areas to ensure the comfort of community by adjusting various health protocols. This study aims to describe the trends in the use of Malioboro's public open space during the pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are carried out through field observations and interviews with visitors and economic actors. The results showed that during the pandemic, Malioboro's public open space could not be optimal in its function as a center for interaction, social activities, and a forum for economic activity. This is due to restrictions both in the form of physical and socio-cultural activities. Keywords: Public Open Space; Malioboro; Tourism

Abstract

The purpose of this research is how to cook food by burying the food with hot stones. The research method used in this study is an experimental research method. The research method used in this research is experimental research methods. The results of sand roasting will be tested using the organoleptic test to show differences in taste and texture between sand roasting and conventional roasting, namely oven roasting. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection based on observation and assessment questionnaires. Meanwhile, the secondary is taken from various literatures and research journals. As a result, it took 75 minutes to find an effective and efficient sand roasting method. Based on the results obtained for the organoleptic test, there is no significant difference from the results of the sand roasting method with the oven roasting method. However, the sand roasting method is superior to oven roasting in terms of taste with a value of 3.04 for sand roasting and 2.96 for oven roasting. Likewise, in terms of texture, the sand roasting method is superior with a score of 3.08 while the oven roasting method scores 3.00. Keywords: Sand Roasting; Texture; Taste; Roast Chicken

Abstract

Educational tourism can be a means of socializing and fostering a sense of pride and love for culture and the nation where tourism activities are carried out by visitors and are primarily aimed at obtaining education and learning. In conducting educational tours, accommodation is needed, one of which is a Homestay. The purpose is to determine the perceptions of teachers and lecturers about Homestays as an alternative accommodation for educational tours. The research method is descriptive quantitative method which was conducted on 100 respondents consisting of junior high school, vocational / high school teachers and university lecturers in Jakarta using quota sampling. The conclusion of this study is that the perception with motives prefers living in a Homestay because the price is relatively cheaper in conducting educational tours and it is recommended that Homestay owners can offer more than 1 (one) room or room so that more accommodating students or students who will stay in the tourist village area and for teachers and lecturers to keep choosing Homestay as a place to stay for their students or students for educational activities, in order to help government programs to improve the economy of local residents in a tourist village. Abstract

Gastronomy is one of the main reason for people to visit certain places. Furthermore, it often reflects tourism destination cultural identity where most researcher found a strong relationship with the development of sustainable tourism. This research aimed to evaluate the identity of Cirebon as capital of gastronomy tourism in West Java and its role in creating sustainable tourism experience. It was qualitative approach research with triangulation data collection method and used an in-depth interview involving 15 respondents from tourists, private sector and government official representatives. SWOT analysis and flow model analysis were then conducted to obtain the findings. Researcher found that Cirebon’s gastronomy tourism identity is the result of melting pot of culture between Chinese, Arabs, India and Indonesia. It is then highly influenced with the availability of local commodities, native technic of producing food, prevailing norms, religion and believes, and socially controlled culture. Hence, the impact on sustainable tourism experience is profoundly high. This research is expected to give contribution in developing gastronomy tourism in Cirebon and as reference in more researches related with sustainable gastronomy tourism experience in general. Abstract

Beach tourism is the special interest tourism which part of marine tourism. The coastal dynamic makes activities on the beach area is a high risk of drowning. The South Coastal of West Java which faces The Indian Ocean is high of dangerous, while the beaches along the coast are marine tourism areas. The research aim is to analyze the marine tourism risk caused by coastal dynamics in The South Coastal of West Java. The method consist of survey method used purposive sampling method and assessment method used fish bone diagram. The result shows there are three main causes factors that create marine tourism risk, that is the beach physical, the facilities, and the people. The facilities and the people are the factors which can avoid the danger of beach physical. The people factor, especially tourist, is the main factor who reduce the risk of marine tourism. In addition, is required participation from the stakeholder to increase the quality and quantity of lifeguard and also the safety equipment. Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts to protect ecosystems through empowering communities around Mount Merapi National Park (TNGM). Mount Merapi National Park is in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. TNGM is a conservation area because it is used as a means of utilizing the maintenance of living natural resources and the surrounding ecosystem. This study uses a descriptive method that provides an overview of the relationships that occur in society such as processes, activities, views and the influence of phenomena that occur. This study uses a qualitative method that provides an overview of the relationships that occur in society such as processes, activities, views and the influence of phenomena that occur in this study. The result of this research is that the protection of Mount Merapi National Park is carried out by directly involving the community in its development and empowerment. All decision-making activities that involve the community in the management of Mount Merapi National Park can be started from the planning, implementation, activities, monitoring and evaluation stages. In maintaining the ecosystem, one of them is by managing tourism such as making flower gardens, besides that the government must also be involved in monitoring community-based tourism management. Abstract

This research took place at PT Pesona Ijen Tour and Travel Banyuwangi, this study aims to determine the effect of quality indicators of tour leader services on consumer loyalty at PT Pesona Ijen Tour & Travel Banyuwangi and the managerial implications that can be applied at Pesona Ijen. This research is a quantitative research with survey method. The samples used in this study were customers who had used tour services from Pesona Ijen and had been accompanied by tour leader Pesona Ijen during their trip. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 100 peoples. Data collection techniques used interview methods, questionnaires, literature studies and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the five dimensions of service quality have a significant effect on customer loyalty at PT Pesona Ijen Tour and Travel Banyuwangi, both through partial and simultaneous testing. The influence given by the quality of tour leader services to customer loyalty at PT Pesona Ijen Tour and Travel Banyuwangi is 43% obtained through testing the coefficient of determination, whereas 57% is influenced by other variables that’s not observed in this research.
