Abstract

The level of performance among Indonesian students in Mathematics is still critical. This study aims at comparing provinces within each of three islands, and then all three Islands in general, the comparison focused on the performance in mathematics during 2014/2015 national examination. Islands involved in the current research are Java, Sumatera, and Kalimantan. For each province from every island, the researchers selected urban districts by using the formula of Krecie & Morgan (1970), with .05 degree of accuracy, and then systematic sampling to select schools. On Java Island, the researchers selected 669 out of 1065 schools, 508 out of 621 schools on Sumatera Island, and 203 out of 235 schools on Kalimantan Island. Gathering data involved documentation. The researchers analyzed the data by using NCSS 11 and JASP 0.8.3.1. The findings indicated a significant difference among provinces and even Islands on the performance in Mathematics, p<.01, and Sumatera is the most performing island in Mathematics.

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to discover and analyze empirically the effect of attitudes toward mathematics learning outcomes, learning habits influence on mathematics learning outcomes, influence attitudes and study habits together towards mathematics learning outcomes. The population covered in this study were junior high school grade students in District VIII Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. The research sample was obtained through random sampling method, the researchers mixed quota subjects in the population so that all subjects are considered equal. The research design used by the correlation technique with three variables consisting of two independent variables, namely student attitudes and study habits as well as a dependent variable, is mathematics learning outcomes. Data collected by questionnaire technique (variable attitudes and habits students learn) and test techniques (variable learning outcomes). Collected data are then analyzed using correlation and simple regression techniques and correlation and multiple regression. Before the data were analyzed, first performed descriptive statistical analysis and test data requirements (test of normality, linearity test). The results showed that: (1) there is significant influence between students' attitudes and habits towards learning mathematics learning outcomes, with a correlation coefficient of 0.465 and coefficient of determination of 0.216 or 21.6% of student attitude and study habits jointly affect the results of learning mathematics. The resulting regression equation Y = 7932 + 0, 377 X1 + 0, 257 X2. This could mean that the better the attitude of the students then the better the better the result of learning and study habits, the higher the results of studying mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran yang tepat dan sesuai bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas 6. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan Model Pengembangan Instruksional (MPI). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Pancoranmas Depok dengan tiga sekolah yang dijadikan sebagai tempat penelitian yaitu, SDN Rangkapan Jaya, SDN Mampang 1, dan SDN Mampang 3. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu: Tahap pertama dalam model MPI adalah tahap mengidentifikasi yang terdiri dari tiga langkah sebagai berikut: a. mengidentifikasi kebutuhan instruksional dan menulis tujuan instruksional umum; b. melakukan analisis instruksional; dan c. mengidentifikasi perilaku dan karakteristik awal peserta didik. Tahap kedua adalah tahap mengembangkan yang terdiri dari empat langkah sebagai berikut: a. menulis tujuan instruksional khusus; b. menyusun alat penilaian hasil belajar; c. Menyusun strategi instrusional; dan d. mengembangkan bahan instruksional. Tahap ketiga, mengevaluasi dan merevisi yang terdiri dari satu langkah yaitu menyusun desain dan melaksanakan evaluasi formatif yang termasuk di dalamnya kegiatan merevisi bahan instruksional. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini adalah tersusunnya bahan ajar yang efektif bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas 6 pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Desain Pembelajaran, Matematika SD.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of adversity quotient of the students toward the learning result (achievement) in junior high school in Jakarta. The research method which was used in the research is survey method. The population of research is all students in junior high school 217 Jakarta. Samples are taken by simple random sampling, consisted of 53 students. The research instrument is adversity quotient of the students and mathematics learning achievement that have been validated. Data analysis employed regretion correlation. The hypothesis testing resulted conclution: there positive correlation of adversity quotient of the students toward the mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of cooperative learning method toward the seventh-grade students of Private Junior High School in South Tangerang. The method that used in the research was an experimental method, where the independent variable was cooperative learning method and the dependent variable was the result of learning mathematics. The sample was taken by using the random sampling technique. The test data requirements were done by using the following formula:   chi-square test for normality test and Fisher test for homogeneity test. The hypothesis submission was done using t-test. The result of the research shows that there are significant effects of cooperative learning method toward students’ mathematics learning result especially on the plane figure subject on the seventh-grade students of the private junior high school in South Tangerang.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the form of the implementation of environmental education in the form of utilization of household waste (inorganic). nvironmental education is a process arbitrarily person to conduct environmental stewardship for sustainable survival. The increasing volume of waste requiring serious treatment of the waste management. Waste management does not use methods and techniques that are environmentally friendly waste management than would be a negative impact on health will also be very disruptive both residential environmental preservation, forest, rice fields, rivers and oceans. One of the forms of waste is household waste in the form of garbage anorgnik. This litter is very dangerous for health and the environment because it is made from inorganic sources of non-renewable natural and contains no chemicals, but its existence is only glimpsed one eye. Utilization of inorganic waste is one that can be done by the whole society to preserve the environment. This research is a descriptive study and a review of the literature. This study hopes to sustainable environmental education is expected to contribute knowledge to all levels of society on the importance of inorganic waste.

Abstract

The objective of this reseacrh is to analyze the effect of self-concept, interest and habbits of student study on the learning achievement of physics. The methode of this research is using survey with correlation and multiple regression used SPSS version 17.0. The finding of this reseacrh are self concept , interest and habbits of student study influenced together on the learning achievement of physics for 89,8 %. It means 89,8 % the learning achievement of physics described by Self concept student, Interest of student study and habbits of student study influenced together. Teachers in education field should be able to improve self concept to their students and improve the way how to teach in good way to get the learning interest of their student. Also they can give support to their students to do good learning habit.

Abstract

:This study aimed at analyzing the presentation of concepts and questions on theworksheet vocational high school students firt class a semester publications Cahaya Mentari. Methods of research using qualitative descriptive methods, in this study the authors did not conduct experiments or field research. Method used is literature study method in accordance with references from varioussources related dengnan issues to be addressed. Population taken in this study are the concepts and issues urian short and multiple choice, to serve as study sample. Review the concept based on common benchmark compilation of textbooks, while the review examined a matter of using the rules about the presentation in the form ofdescriptions and multiple choice according to the study of materials, construction andstudy of language.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills and student’s scientific attitudes on the colloidal material by applying the learning model science environment technology and society (SETS). The method was used in this study is quasi-experimental research design "Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design". The sample in this study was a class XI student at one of SMAN in Majalengka, with totaling 62 students. Data collected through a written test and observation sheets. The results showed that SETS learning for colloidal material can enhance student’s critical thinking skills with N-Gain of 42% (moderate category) and the student’s scientific attitude was 72,7 % (excellent category). Increasing student’s critical thinking skills class experiment also differed significantly from the control class. Thus, learning chemistry with SETS learning model should be developed for the implementation of SETS learning can improve critical thinking skills and students’ scientific attitudes. Keywords: colloidal systems, critical thinking skills, science environment technology and society (SETS), scientific attitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of attitude on the subjects of chemistry and self-concept to chemistry learning achievement. Survey research samples totaled 75 students of class X from Private Senior High Sub-district of Cilandak South Jakarta. The data was collected by administering questionnaires and achievement tests to carry out the study. The results showed by the regression equation Y=-12.983 + 0.300 SK + 0.390 KD. Variable attitude on the subjects of chemistry and self-concept of students together to have a significant influence on learning achievement of students, this is indicated by the coefficient determination R2= 0.777 with Fvalue test =125,400 greater than Ftable=3,12. While testing the regression coefficient on the variable attitude o the subject of chemistry t-test = 6,288 and testing the regression coefficients on the self-concept obtained by calculating the t-test=5,397, both are more than t-table=1,993.
