Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the think pair share (TPS) learning model on the learning outcomes of civic education on fifth grade class student in elementary school at Jakarta Timur Cilangkap. The subject of this research is fourth-grade students with instrument pre-test and post-test of Civic Education subject. While the research method used is a quantitative research method with a Quasi-Experimental Design research design. The type of sample used was Non-Probability Sampling with a total of 60 participants divide into 2 class which is 30 at experimental class and 30 in a control class. From the results of the calculation of the t test in the study, it obtained a value of t count = 2,4704 ≥ t table 2.000 which stated that there was a significant effect of learning using the think pair learning model on civic education learning outcomes in one of the elementary schools at Jakarta Timur Colangkap. The think pair learning model applied by teaching staff to their students can increase the level of creativity and courage of a student so that students can learn effectively and have fun, especially in this study the subjects taken were civic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Example and Non-Example models on students' critical thinking skills. The research location is one of the elementary schools in South Jakarta, to be precise at the fourth-grade level during the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, especially in the Civic Education subject. While the research method used is a quantitative research method with a Quasi-Experimental Design research design. The sampling technique used probability sampling on students who already understood Civic Education subjects by looking at their average scores in the previous semester, the number of subjects was 63 participants, with 31 participants grouped into the experimental group and 32 participants grouped into the control group. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to research subjects using multiple choice and filling methods, and the data that had been collected showed the results of the t test calculation of t count = 5.47 ≥ t table = 2.00 which stated that there was a significant effect, in student learning outcomes in the application of the Example and Non-Example models to improve students' critical thinking in the Citizenship Education subject at an elementary school in the south Jakarta area. The Example and Non-Example models can improve students' critical thinking because they have fun methods, students can be more active in class and exchange opinions with each other.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an animated video media for fourth grade social studies learning about economic diversity in Riau. This research is research and development with the 4D model, namely define, design, development and dissemination. The instruments used to obtain data were questionnaires (validation questionnaires and response questionnaires) and interviews. While the data obtained came from 2 validators, namely material experts and media experts, as well as 1 practitioner (teacher) and 12 students from one of the public elementary schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were validity questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student responses and interviews. The results showed that the animated video media developed received very valid criteria with a proportion of 96.4% from material experts in the very valid category and very valid criteria with a score of 84.5% from media experts. The results of the teacher's answers get a very good score with a score proportion of 89.2%, one-to-one test results get a very good score with a score proportion of 90% and small group test results get a very good score with a proportion of 83.8%. It can be interpreted that animated video media is feasible and valid for use in learning.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low ability to solve mathematical problems in geometry materials (square, rectangle, and triangle).  An effort to overcome this problem is to conduct learning using the PREMIER model, which combines Project  Based Learning, Realistic Mathematics Education, and Course Review Horay. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out with four meetings. The subject of the study was a grade IV student of a public elementary school in Banjarmasin City in the academic year of 2021/2022, with a total of 13 students. The data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study show that student activity has increased, which at meeting one only reached 38.5% until at meeting four, it increased to 92.3% with a very active category.

Abstract

This research is background by a low learning outcomes of students on learning cube and cuboid nets caused by learning that still uses conventional models and still teacher centered so that students are not yet active in the process learning. Type of research is classroom action research using quantitative and qualitative approaches. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and 21th students consisting of 11 males and 10 females. The results showed an increase in the results: (1) RPP cycle I an average of 93.05% (A), cycle II 100% (A), (2) implementation in the teacher aspect of cycle I an average of 92.18% (A), and the second cycle 96.87% (A), (3) the implementation of the aspects of the students in the first cycle is 92.18% (A), the second cycle is 96.87% (A), and (4) The average student learning outcomes in the first cycle is 76.9% (B), the second cycle is 90.96% (A). The conclusion of the research is that using the numbered head together model increase student learning outcomes of cube and cuboid nets in elementary school in Padang.

Abstract

The enormous importance of numeracy skill to pre-elementary children has tasked teachers with the burden of imparting the skill in an effective manner. Despite the fact that literature has documented the effectiveness of games approach in children instruction, to some, use of game is disruptive to actual learning. This necessitates more experimental studies to further clear ambiguities about the use of games in pre-primary classrooms. This study examined the impact of games on pre-primary children’s interest and performance in numeracy. A pretest-posttest, control group, quasi-experimental was adopted. Fifty Nursery Two pupils were randomly assigned to treatment and control groups. The instruments used were Pre-primary Children’s Numeracy Achievement Test (r=0.86) and Pupils’ Interest in Numeracy Scale (r=0.81). The data collected were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) and Scheffe’s Post Hoc Pairwise Comparison. Results indicated that games method was effective on pre-primary children’s learning of numeracy (F (1, 42) = 373.502; P < 0.05) and also increased their interest in numeracy instruction (F (1, 42) = 9.773; P < 0.05). Based on these findings, recommendations were made that teachers, parents and curriculum developers should encourage the use of games method to improve numeracy instruction among pre-primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop QR Code-based monopoly media on the subject matter of my rich country in Class IV SDN Sindang Barang 2 Bogor City. This research method is used to produce several products and to test the effectiveness of these products. The design of this study uses the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of Analysis (Problem Analysis), Design (Product Design), Development (Development), Implementation (Implementation), and Evaluation (Evaluation). This study involved media experts, linguists, and material experts to provide assessments as well as students as media users. The results of this study are that monopoly media based on QR Code has received eligibility validation on the aspect of media suitability based on ISO 9126 quality with a percentage of 83.63%, linguistic aspects by linguists with a percentage of 100%, and material aspects for the sake of material experts with a percentage of 96.36%.. Monopoly learning media based on the QR Code also received a positive response from 33 students with a percentage of 90.8% in the "Very Good" category. Based on this description, QR Code-based monopoly media is very feasible and can be implemented for teaching and learning activities with the theme Kaya Negeriku Class IV SD.
