Abstract

The 20th report clearly emphasizes the importance of training innovative talents, and the cultivation of higher-order thinking has been paid attention to. Micro-lesson is a new teaching method to cultivate and develop students' high-level thinking. Taking cylindrical surface micro-lesson design as an example, this paper, starting from practice, compares the micro-lesson design and fragment record before and after optimization, and puts forward suggestions for optimization design: Pay attention to the construction of knowledge system and develop general thinking; Pay attention to summary reflection, form critical thinking; Pay attention to situation creation and develop innovative thinking; Focus on problem chain design and develop logical thinking. In order to provide reference for primary school mathematics classroom micro-lesson design. In order to provide reference for primary school mathematics classroom micro-lesson design.

Abstract

The background of this research because the activities of providing material in schools many students are less active and cause their learning outcomes not to be maximized. This study uses research methods for planning, actions, observations, and reflections, and also by applying the discovery learning model. This study used 28 fifth grade students at SDN 12 Tanah Sirah Padang City as subjects. Data collection techniques through observation, non-test and test. This study produces data that shows an increase of learning activities and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model increases the level of integrated thematic learning outcomes from students.

Abstract

The study was motivated by the learning process that has not been student-cantered, students were less active in learning, teachers had not applied innovative group-based models, and student learning outcomes were still low. The approach used by researchers in this study was a combination of qualitative and quantitative approach. the method used in this study was classroom action research (CAR). This study was conducted in the first semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The subjects in this study were 23 students. The data source was the process and results of implementing integrated thematic learning with a problem-based learning model. The techniques used were observation, tests and non-tests. The results of the study showed that students’ learning outcomes increased from the learning activities in cycle I to cycle II. This study concluded that the problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe realistic mathematics education (RME) in helping students' understanding of concepts in statistical material about data collection. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a design research approach. The subjects of the study were 29 fifth-grade students of a public school in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The results of this study show that RME is applied in learning with the following steps, namely first, providing and explaining contextual problems to be solved by students; second, students solve contextual problems for mathematical models in their own way; third, discuss and compare each problem solving given by students; Fourth, students conclude and summarize the learning concept. From these activities, students can develop knowledge and skills in collecting and presenting data.

Abstract

Every child has the right to a proper education, including slow learners. Slow learners are students who experience delays in learning. The condition of students who experience learning delays causes low student achievement and difficulty understanding the material. Learning strategies are needed to help slow learners catch up. The research aims to describe the teacher's strategy for teaching slow-learning students with low grades. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Jemirahan with the participants being two grade 1 teachers. In this study, data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers applied various strategies for slow-learning students in the form of material reduction, question modification, additional study hours, and seating rotation to student motivation. The results showed that the role of teachers with the application of appropriate learning strategies for slow learners had a significant impact, namely students' willingness to learn increased slowly.

Abstract

This development research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation , Evaluation). This research was conducted at SD Negeri Cigombong 02, Bogor Regency, and consisted of 31 students. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The purpose of this research is to solve the problems that fourth grade students face in the learning process. The results of the research show that the developed interactive learning media is feasible for students to use. This can be seen from the validation results carried out by media experts, linguists, and material experts showing a high percentage. Assessments from media experts showed a percentage of 94% "very feasible", linguists showed a percentage of 100% “very feasible", and material experts showed a percentage of 96% "very feasible". The results of the expert validation as a whole show a percentage of 96.6 % with the criteria of "very feasible". The limited test conducted on 31 students obtained a response of 98.8 % in the "very good" category. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that genially- based interactive learning media is very appropriate for students to use.

Abstract

This present study aims to examine the effect of GeoGebra-assisted interactive learning on student mathematical achievement of coordinate system. The study applied a quasi-experimental method that included 41 fifth grade students from a private Islamic school in Pekanbaru, Riau. The students were randomized into an experimental group (n=21) that received GeoGebra-assisted interactive learning and a control group (n=20) that received traditional teaching approach. Student mathematical achievement was measured using items of coordinate system developed by the researchers, and the data gathering in this study was analyzed using nonparametric statistical analysis. The findings indicated that there was significant statistical difference in student mathematical achievement of coordinate system between the experimental and control group (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05)). The study concluded that the instruction based on GeoGebra-assisted interactive learning had a statistically significant positive effect on improving student mathematical achievement of coordinate system.
