Jurnal Ilmiah Sekolah Dasar (JISD) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan ganesha. Abstract

The existence of a digital-based assessment system will support the assessment of student character in the learning process. Character assessment using e-assessment will greatly assist teachers in overcoming paper wastage, streamlining time, overcoming large expenditures and making students more focused in filling out characters. This study aims to analyze the character of tolerance in elementary school students and to determine the feasibility of the product. This research is a development research using 4D development design. The sample of this study was 175 students. Quantitative data from this study were obtained from the validation of media experts and the results of the student tolerance character assessment, while qualitative data was obtained from interviews. The quantitative data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, while the qualitative data used Miles & Huberman analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of the character assessment of student tolerance are in a good category, and there are differences in the character of student tolerance in the 3 schools. The results of the validation of media experts on the development of web-based assessment are in the good category so that the product can be used to assess the character of student tolerance. The implications of this research lie in time efficiency in processing and distributing data, saving procurement costs, and ease of use in assessing student character using web-based assessment.

Abstract

Most students believe civics education is a complex and difficult field of science, resulting in a low score. The challenges that arise can be overcome through the use of innovative learning strategies.The focus of this study is to analyses the impact of learning strategies and learning autonomy on student Civics learning outcomes. This study's sample consisted of 60 students chosen at random using a multistage random sampling procedure. The information in this study was collected using test instruments and questionnaires.The statistical analyses were performed using variance analysis (ANOVA) with a significance level of = 0.05.The findings revealed that: Civics learning outcomes were higher among students taught with problem-based learning strategies than students taught with project-based learning strategies; and there was a significant interaction between learning strategies and learning autonomy on Civics learning outcomes. This study concluded that students with high learning autonomy should be taught utilizing problem-based learning techniques and project-based learning strategies because they can increase student Civics learning outcomes. Students with minimal learning autonomy who are taught problem-based learning strategies and project-based learning strategies, on the other hand, show no significant differences in Civics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main problem in student's literacy skills in the early grades has not been implemented holistically. In addition, the teacher has not used the right model in literacy learning in the early grades. The main objective of this research was to analyses the process of learning literacy in elementary school. This study used a survey method involving 48 principals and 148 elementary school teachers. Interviews were used as an instrument to describe literacy learning in early grades of elementary schools. Information obtained from the field is tabulated and presented. This research showed that the procedures or models and learning media used by teachers are different. Teachers have made efforts to increase children's motivation in exploring literacy learning. Teachers believe that literacy is a very important need for every individual. Literacy in the early grades plays an important role in determining students learning success. Effective literacy learning in the early grades needs to pay attention to the learning environment and material that suit the needs of students. A pleasant learning experience and adult support can have a positive effect on reading skills. This skill will greatly affect subsequent literacy skills. If literacy learning in the initial class is not strong, it will be difficult for students to build a foundation for literacy in higher grades.

Abstract

Integrated thematic learning has the aim of presenting complete learning and experience for students. However, the data and information obtained at the research stage through interviews involving teachers and IV grade students Elementary School still obtained the use of printed teaching materials which were not attractive because the paper material used was paper newspaper type. So that the use of teaching materials cannot attract the attention of students, according to several studies, it causes students' understanding and knowledge to be not optimal. This study aims to create and determine the validity of integrated thematic teaching materials with the PjBL model based on the book creator application in the IV grade of elementary school. This development research uses the Borg and Gall model. Where the research starts from the stages of potential and problems to product trials. The instruments used in this research activity are interviews and validation sheets. Based on the problems found at the potential and problem stages, teaching materials were designed with the PjBL model based on the book creator application. Where after being validated by five validators, the following results were found, the language aspect in the valid category, the content aspect in the very valid category, the presentation aspect in the valid category, and the graphic aspect in the very valid category.

Abstract

Education is a process that makes a humane benchmark for educators and devotees to achieve common educational goals. The process proceeds in a specific environment and uses a variety of actions. Lack of attention of teachers in the use of various methods and models to prevent bullying. This study aims to analyses the differences in student attitudes and students’ knowledge about the impact of bullying before and after applying role playing models with digital comic media. The participants of this study were 12 teachers. The method used was quantitative method with experiments. The sample taken was 20 four grader students in elementary school. The data collection method used in this study were observation pretests and post tests, and questionnaire. The data analyses ued in this study were normality test, homogeneity test, knowledge hypothesis test, and attitude hypothesis test. The results of the research showed that there was a significant influence of the use of role playing model and digital comic media in preventing bullying behavior in elementary school. This implementation allows teachers to use a model with media to attract students’ attention so that they can understand the lesson in the learning process easily.

Abstract

The problem encountered in this study is the lack of politeness character education in students which causes a lack of student politeness. The purpose of this study is to analyses the form of adherence to the principle of politeness in language that comes from the social harmony of the community which can be used as a source of learning politeness for elementary school students. This research uses qualitative research. The research design is a case study. The resource persons in this study were village heads, school principals, and teachers. In this study, the data collection techniques used was observation and interview techniques. In this study, researchers used triangulation to test the validity of the data, namely technical triangulation, and source triangulation. This research was conducted using interactive data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that the language attitude of people was polite and could be used as a source of learning politeness for elementary school students. The implementation of politeness learning resources that come from the social harmony of the community is obtained from the kenduri tradition.

Abstract

During the learning process students do not participate and do not study well. Teachers need better learning with steps to increase motivation. Visual media can be a solution to increase student motivation. The aim of this study is to analyses the use of visual media in learning thematic in grade VI along with the obstacles and solutions done by the teacher. The subjects of this study were students, teachers and principals of elementary school. This method uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study use the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The validity test of the data used is technique triangulation and source triangulation. The research shows that the use of visual media in thematic learning in class VI consists of planning, implementation and evaluation. The obstacle that faced by teachers during the process of using visual media in thematic learning, namely learning media is incomplete or limited , lack of participation of parents and students which not enough understand theory which be delivered by teacher. The solution to overcome the problem of using visual media in thematic learning is to create interactive and attractive teaching materials and build communication between teachers and students.

Abstract

Teachers are required to be able to master the right learning model in creating a conducive and enjoyable learning situation in order to enable students to be actively involved in discovering and exploring their knowledge. The TGT model is a type of cooperative learning model that collaborate three main activities, namely group learning, games, and matches between groups to achieve learning goals. The purpose of the research is to analyses student learning outcomes before and after the application of the TGT model and to find out the effect of using the TGT model on social studies learning outcomes. This research is quantitative research with the type of experiment. So the research design used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling, consisting of 20 students in each experimental and control class. The data needed, using data collection techniques, namely tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that social studies learning outcomes increased after being given treatment in the form of using the TGT model and the learning mastery obtained was relatively high and there was an effect of applying the TGT cooperative learning model to student learning outcomes. So that with this research it is hoped that they can broaden their knowledge and skills so that they can update in developing this research so that it can be useful for improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Javanese is the regional language with the most speakers in Indonesia and needs to be preserved, because it is the main element in a culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the form of preservation of the Javanese language in elementary schools. The method in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and tests. The results of the research show that the form of preservation of the Javanese language is carried out by schools in two ways. First, through learning Javanese and Javanese Voice Arts, as well as through Javanese language habituation this is carried out every Thursday. The students' Javanese language skills were divided into two, out of a total of 10 students there were 60% who mastered Javanese according to their level when communicating, while 40% of students had not mastered Javanese according to their level when communicating. The large percentage of students who master the Javanese language according to the rules illustrates that learning and habituating Javanese at school can be used as a means of preserving Javanese and developing Javanese language skills in students.

Abstract

Reading and writing are very important skills in education. When compared to other countries, the ability to read and write Indonesian people is still low. This study aims to analyze whether the application of the Quantum Learning model with Big Book media can overcome the lack of reading and writing skills. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design. Where the two elementary schools were divided into an experimental class and a control class. Respondents in this study consisted of teachers and second grade students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used the normality test, homogeneity test, T test, and ANOVA test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the posttest results of students' reading and writing skills after applying learning with the Quantum Learning model and Big Book media. The results of the ANOVA test showed that learning in the experimental class and control class could improve students' reading and writing skills, although the average value of the increase in the experimental class that applied the Quantum Learning model with Big Book media was higher.
