Abstract

Taekwondo is a fighting sport that is part of international sports competitions. The existence of a weight-based class system aims to ensure a balance of strength, body size and range of motion between athletes who will compete. The class system based on body weight causes athletes to try to achieve the appropriate weight for the competition class before the match. An extreme and not adequately monitored weight loss program can affect an athlete's performance and even endanger the athlete's health. This case study aims to see the impact of providing nutritional intervention in the PON preparation period on changes in athletes' weight. The process of standardized nutrition care to help taekwondo athletes achieve body weight according to competing classes is gradual, safe and minimizes risk. The method used in this research is a case study with several subjects, as many as one athlete. Based on the results of this case study, it is known that giving a low-calorie diet for ten days of intervention showed an effect on the weight loss of athletes. At the end of the intervention period, there was a weight loss of 1.5 kg.

Abstract

Physical education teachers must pay attention to the basics of high jump number learning materials starting from creating, supporting, hovering and landing. The phases of the primary jumping technique are expected to be carried out with various variations of learning methods to solve problems and complete learning so that students do not get bored. The purpose of the study was to determine the increase in learning outcomes for high jump skills on the material that has been taught through the application of learning methods in terms of the level of confidence. This research method is a 2X2 factorial experimental method, with the treatment variable being the direct learning method and problem-solving learning method. In contrast, the dependent variable is the result of learning high jump skills, and the attribute variable is self-confidence. The confidence variable uses a self-confidence questionnaire instrument, while the learning outcomes of high jump skills test the movement process of high jump skills. The research data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA analysis with the help of the SPSS version 20.0 computer program. The results showed that 1) Overall, learning outcomes of high jump skills through the application of problem-solving learning methods gave better results than direct learning methods, 2) There was an interaction between learning methods with confidence in learning outcomes of high jump skills, 3) For students who have high self-confidence, the results of learning high jump skills through the application of problem-solving learning methods give better results than direct learning methods, and 4) For students who have low self-confidence, the results of learning high jump skills through the application of direct learning methods are as good as problem-solving learning methods.

Abstract

The problem raised in this study is whether zone 3 physical activity affects peak flow rate and relaxed heart rate in FIK UNM students. At the same time, this study aimed to determine the effect of zone 3 physical activity on peak flow rate and relaxed heart rate in FIK UNM students. The type of research used is experimental research. The number of samples used as many as ten samples of students with a sampling technique using the purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques using peak flow rate test and heart rate test. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, normality test and paired sample test or influence test. From the data processing results on the effect of zone 3 physical activity on the Peak flow rate, a significant value of 0.001 was obtained, which was smaller than 0.05. So, zone 3 physical activity substantially affects the peak flow rate in FIK UNM students. Furthermore, it is known that the average peak flow rate before being given treatment is 416,000. This value has increased after being given treatment that is equal to 441,000. This indicates that the value of the vital lung capacity of students experienced a positive change. The results of data processing the effect of zone 3 physical activity, an open heart rate obtained a significant value of 0.000, more diminutive than 0.05. So, zone 3 physical activity has a significant effect on the available heart rate in FIK UNM students. Furthermore, it is known that the average value of open-heart rate before being given treatment is 86.2000. This value decreased after being given 80.2000 treatment. This indicates that the open heart rate of students also experienced a positive change.
