Journal of Indonesian Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation (Jurnal Pariwisata, Perhotelan dan Rekreasi Indonesia) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan dua keluaran (issues) dalam setahun pada bulan April dan Oktober. Redaksi juga turut mengundang para peneliti dan praktisi untuk dapat mengirimkan artikel berupa laporan hasil penelitian, pemikiran-pemikiran, maupun tulisan akademik, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan kepariwisataan, perhotelan dan rekreasi luar ruang. Perlu dipahami sebelumnya, artikel yang hendak dikirimkan merupakan artikel yang belum pernah dimuat atau dipublikasikan di jurnal berkala ilmiah lainnya.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the power of stories related to tourist destinations as a branding effort carried out by tourism actors such as tour guides, travel content writers, traders in carrying out destination storytelling activities to visitors. The location of this research is in Kota Lama Semarang. The aim of the research is to find out the type of communication used in the storytelling carried out by tourist actors in telling tourist stories related to tourist destinations in Kota Lama Semarang. The method used is a qualitative method by observing and interviewing several tour guides, antique dealers who are also local guides. The result is that tourism actors in Kota Lama Semarang use a persuasive communication type approach to visitors both verbally and non-verbally and in accordance with professional standards regarding tour guides taught by relevant agencies to the public to visitors. Persuasive communication that is carried out when communicating with visitors is carried out through four stages of the successful concept of persuasion communication, namely the principle of selective exposure, the principle of audience participation, the principle of inoculation and the principle of bringing about greater change.

Abstract

This research explores the group dynamics and typology of young travelers, classifying them into four distinct types: Leaders, Followers, Clowns, and Loners. Leaders assume responsibility for group decision-making and itinerary management, often prioritizing group comfort over personal enjoyment. Followers comply with group decisions and adapt their preferences to align with collective choices. Clowns, serving as group entertainers, contribute to a positive atmosphere, while Loners prefer solitude, engaging in personal activities even within the group context.  The research highlights the concept of a "collective bubble," a combination of physical and psychological factors that contribute to an enjoyable group travel experience. Several factors contributing to unpleasant group travel experiences were also identified, including inadequate planning time, excessive anxiety, personal issues between group members, significant differences in personal preferences, unexpected events like illness, and comparisons with other groups' experiences. The findings underscore the importance of understanding the typologies and dynamics of youth travelers in creating satisfying group travel experiences. The roles played by different traveler types and effective compromise among group members emerge as key factors for enjoyable group travel. The study provides valuable insights for organizers and participants of group travel, contributing to the literature on youth tourism and group dynamics. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengeksplorasi dinamika kelompok dan tipologi pelancong muda, mengklasifikasikan mereka menjadi empat tipe berbeda: Pemimpin, Pengikut, Badut, dan Penyendiri. Pemimpin memikul tanggung jawab untuk pengambilan keputusan kelompok dan manajemen rencana perjalanan, seringkali memprioritaskan kenyamanan kelompok daripada kesenangan pribadi. Pengikut mematuhi keputusan kelompok dan menyesuaikan preferensi mereka agar selaras dengan pilihan kolektif. Badut, berfungsi sebagai penghibur kelompok, berkontribusi pada suasana positif, sementara penyendiri lebih suka menyendiri, terlibat dalam aktivitas pribadi bahkan dalam konteks kelompok. Penelitian tersebut menyoroti konsep "gelembung kolektif", kombinasi faktor fisik dan psikologis yang berkontribusi pada pengalaman perjalanan kelompok yang menyenangkan. Beberapa faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap pengalaman perjalanan kelompok yang tidak menyenangkan juga diidentifikasi, termasuk waktu perencanaan yang tidak memadai, kecemasan yang berlebihan, masalah pribadi antara anggota kelompok, perbedaan preferensi pribadi yang signifikan, kejadian tak terduga seperti sakit, dan perbandingan dengan pengalaman kelompok lain. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya memahami tipologi dan dinamika wisatawan muda dalam menciptakan pengalaman perjalanan kelompok yang memuaskan. Peran yang dimainkan oleh tipe pelancong yang berbeda dan kompromi yang efektif di antara anggota grup muncul sebagai faktor kunci untuk perjalanan grup yang menyenangkan. Studi ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi penyelenggara dan peserta perjalanan kelompok, berkontribusi pada literatur tentang pariwisata kaum muda dan dinamika kelompok.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the relation and impact of Brand Awareness of Buying Decision in Casa de Peri Restaurant, Mall Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta Selatan. The analysis method that be used is descriptive analysis and simple regression analysis. The result from this research is there is impact of Brand Awareness towards Consumer Decision at 28.4% and has correlation at 0,533 which indicate the relation between two variables is strong. The conclusion is Consumer Decision will be increase if Brand Awareness also increased.

Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan pelatihan berdasarkan tingkat kepentingan dan penilaian kinerja pramuwisata, mengacu pada standar kompetensi pramuwisata secara nasional (SKKNI Kepemanduan Wisata) maupun internasional (WFTGA dan ASEAN-CCSTP). Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, kuesioner dan studi dokumen. Responden sebanyak 95 orang pramuwisata di Jawa Tengah, sementara narasumber berjumlah 8 orang merupakan pemangku kepentingan yang berasal dari pemerintah pusat, pemerintah daerah, asosiasi, lembaga sertifikasi profesi dan pelaku usaha. Data kuesioner diukur menggunakan skala Likert, sedangkan data kualitatif diolah menggunakan software NVivo 12 Plus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan bauran pemasaran di Agrowisata La Fresa Lembang, Bandung dan bagaimana pengaruh bauran pemasaran terhadap kepuasan pengunjung Agrowisata La Fresa Lembang, Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode suatu kasus. Alat analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah Uji F secara simultan variabel produk, harga, tempat, promosi, orang, proses dan bukti fisik memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengunjung. Dari hasil Uji T secara parsial bauran pemasaran yang berpengaruh secara signifikan yaitu variabel harga, tempat, orang dan proses. Sedangkan variabel produk, promosi dan bukti fisik tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengunjung.

Abstract

This paper aims to address the marketing strategy performed by a mid-range Islamic hotel in Indonesia which distinguishes it from other non-sharia hotels by analyzing its marketing strategy using the SWOT analysis approach. This research was a field study that incorporated the qualitative method and descriptive-qualitative approach as well. Data of the research were obtained through observation and interview in Multazam sharia hotel. To analyze the data, SWOT (Strength, Opportunity, Weakness, Threats) analysis was performed. The findings of the study showed that the marketing strategy undertaken by Multazam Sharia Hotel was different compared to non-sharia hotels due to feature distinctions. This hotel applied Islamic principles in carrying out its marketing strategies to avoid immoral acts and fraud and also the facilities and services provided were different that made it distinct from non-sharia hotels. Regarding the results of the SWOT analysis, in SO strategy, the hotel should use its strength to make use of the opportunity to achieve the goals of the hotel. In WO, the hotel was expected to maximize the opportunity by minimizing the weakness. ST strategy analysis revealed that this hotel needed to move fast in dealing with threats and minimize the unexpected consequence of the threat. The last, the WT strategy, Multazam sharia hotel must be careful with the weaknesses and threats it faced. If the hotel cannot make improvements in facilities and services, the hotel may be displaced by the times.

Abstract

Pengelolaan The Lodge Maribaya, yang merupakan tujuan wisata dan kawasan hutan lindung, harus dapat mencapai keseimbangan antara dua tanggung jawab utamanya untuk memastikan kenyamanan wisatawan dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Upaya pemeliharaan ini harus memperhatikan dan aktivitas pengunjung. Serta keberlanjutan pariwisata mengacu pada kualitas tempat kegiatan pariwisata, kualitas lingkungan dan kenyamanan, kepuasan wisatawan serta dampaknya terhadap kerusakan lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor koreksi kapasitas beban dan kapasitas beban maksimum The Lodge Maribaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan Physical Carrying Capacity (PCC), Actual Carrying Capacity (RCC) dan Effective Carrying Capacity (ECC), dengan sampel 20 responden. Diperoleh hasil bahwa PCC sebesar 1304 dapat menyesuaikan secara fisik, RCC sebesar 389 dengan faktor penyesuaian dan ECC sebesar 311 melebihi kapasitas kunjungan maksimal, serta jumlah kunjungan harian pada tahun 2021 menjadi 55. Kawasan The Lodge Maribaya secara fisik, aspek ekologi dan keterampilan pengelolaan masih sesuai dengan rata-rata jumlah pengunjung

Abstract

Currently, many countries are discussing the possibility of recession and depression in their respective countries. Indonesia is among them. The signal of a recession and depression can be seen from the weakening of real sector economic activity in the country. The type of research used is quantitative. Quantitative research is research that uses data in the form of numbers or statements that are assessed and analyzed by statistical analysis. Quantitative data consists of the Number of Tourist Visits, Economic Growth of Bali Province and Absorption Labor of Bali Province. Data used as background 2016-2020. The method of collecting data and information related to the problem in this study uses the documentation method, namely data collection from the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, the Bali Provincial Statistics Agency, and journals that discuss factors that have relevance to the problems raised in this study. The number of accommodation businesses has a positive influence on regional economic growth. The greater the number of accommodation businesses, the more income the area will come from the accommodation sector. together the indented variables affect economic growth in Bali partially independent variables tourist visits do not have a significant effect on the absorption of labor in Bali because there is a lack of increase in the comfort enjoyed by tourists so that tourists are reluctant to visit so that it affects the supply of absorption labor.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi mahasiswa magang program studi Manajeman Perhotelan di Universitas Negeri Padang dalam hal kebutuhan dan masalah mereka dalam menggunakan keterampilan bahasa Jepang yakni mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis terkait dengan pekerjaan mereka selama magang di berbagai hotel sebelum lulus. Pesertanya adalah 60 mahasiswa magang dan tiga orang supervisor yang bekerja di berbagai hotel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa magang yang bekerja di hotel mengevaluasi diri terhadap kemampuan bahasa Jepang yakni di tingkat sedang. Mahasiswa merasa perlu meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Jepang mereka. Dari keempat kemampuan berbahasa Jepang, kemampuan mendengarkan dan berbicara yang paling bermasalah. Sedangkan antara kemampuan menulis dan membaca, mahasiswa merasa berkemampuan dalam kemampuan membaca daripada menulis. Jika kemampuan keterampilan bahasa Jepang mahasiswa tidak ditingkatkan, khususnya pada keterampilan menulis dan berbicara akan berakibat pada kualitas kinerja dan berdampak pada pelayanan prima yang diberikan pada tamu hotel. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya kerjasama dari berbagai pihak untuk mewujudkan hal ini.Kata kunci: Analisis Kebutuhan; Bahasa Jepang untuk Perhotelan; Masalah dalam Keterampilan bahasa Jepang.

Abstract

The gastronomic museum has three dimensions that must be fulfilled and become the values sought by museum visitors, there are dimensions of education, history, and entertainment. The Virtual Indonesian Gastronomy Museum (MGI Virtual) is a virtual museum launched during the COVID-19 pandemic as an alternative to tourism and entertainment for the community. The purpose of this museum is to preserve the gastronomic wealth of Indonesia, but the existence of this museum is still little known by the public. This study aims to analyze the potential of MGI Virtual as an educational, historical, and entertainment tourism. This research is classified as descriptive research using quantitative methods. Respondents are MGI Virtual visitors who are domiciled in DKI Jakarta in total of 80 people. The results of this research stated that visitors enjoyed MGI Virtual more as an educational and historical dimensions, while the assessment for entertainment dimension got the lowest score. To increase the entertainment dimension on MGI Virtual, it can be done by developing technology and features that are more interactive and attract visitors so that they get a fun and memorable visiting experience.
