Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Campus Freedom to Learn program launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 caused various reactions from various parties in the higher education sector. Gradually many universities are trying to adapt and encourage students to be able to participate actively in the various types of programs offered. The same reaction was also found among students in the Arabic Language and Culture (BKA) study program at Al Azhar University Indonesia. Various perceptions emerged from students in responding to this MBKM program. This study tries to describe the student's perception, more specifically in terms of three aspects: knowledge of the program, perception of the urgency of the MBKM program, and student interest in participating. The research data was obtained through quantitative research instruments in the form of research questionnaires distributed to all 250 students of the BKA Study Program. After conducting a survey and descriptive statistical analysis it was found that; 1) BKA Study Program students' knowledge of the MBKM program is quite high, 75% of students have received information about the MBKM program with various levels of knowledge, and some are fully aware, know most, and know little, through various sources of information, 2) Student perceptions of the benefits and the urgency of the MBKM program is depicted very positively. Most believe that the program is beneficial for students in developing their competencies and soft skills as a provision to face post-graduate life from university, 3) Student interest and interest is quite high, more than 50% expressed interest in joining the MBKM program, and are even willing to recommend it to colleagues. Abstract

The MBKM program was first launched in early 2020 to provide opportunities for students to be active outside the campus. I took part in this program. A number of socialization activities were carried out to provide knowledge about what and how the MBKM program was. In two years, 235 UAI students have participated in 8 MBKM programs. This number can increase as the number of students who know and understand the program increases, as well as their knowledge of the benefits and risks of the program they are interested in. By utilizing Prospect Theory (Tversky and Kahneman, 1992), this study examines the relationship between the knowledge that students have about the MBKM program, both its benefits and risks, their degree of interest in the program, and the choice of the type of program they are interested in. Abstract

Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is the Right to Study for Three Semesters Outside the Study Program. The MBKM policy is expected to be able to answer challenges and opportunities for the development of innovation, creativity, capacity, personality, and student needs, as well as develop independence in seeking and finding knowledge through realities and field dynamics. The purpose of this population survey is to determine the impact of MBKM in the Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Al Azhar University Indonesia, and provide policy recommendations from the study program level related to the implementation of MBKM at Al Azhar University Indonesia. The perception of most students of the Nutrition Studies Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Al Azhar Indonesia towards the MBKM was the program is important, and it can provide additional competencies (problem-solving, problem analysis, and work ethics) and train students' soft skills. However, on the other hand, there are obstacles to its implementation, considering that the Nutrition Study Program is one of the Health Study Programs. In addition, the socialization of the MBKM program related to health study programs is still minimal so the Nutrition Study Program has not been able to fully implement and feel the benefits. Abstract

The “Independent Campus, Freedom to Learn” (MBKM) Policy, which was initiated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology is an innovative step to improve the quality of human resources to be ready to enter the world of work. This policy gives freedom to students to be able to carry out activities outside their department either at the same university in different department or at other universities or other institutions that collaborate in MBKM activities. This research was conducted using a field survey method, the research aspects including the student’s level of knowledge on the MBKM program, sources of information for the MBKM program, activities in the MBKM program, competency improvement through the MBKM program and others. The object of this research are the students of the Chinese Language and Culture department at the University of Al Azhar Indonesia, discussing the level of student understanding regarding the MBKM policies. The research found that most of the students did not get clear information about the MBKM program. Although all respondents stated that the MBKM program provided good benefits for improving competence and soft skills in preparing life after graduation, but at the implementation stage there were still several obstacles. The findings of the study also provided suggestions for improving the implementation of MBKM activities.Keywords - Competency improvement, MBKM policy, Student understanding

Abstract

The MBKM program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture in the past year has had an impact on the teaching and learning process of lecturers at the Faculty of Law at UAI. The existence of the MBKM program makes the Faculty of Law in collaboration with Vrije University hold Experiential Learning training for all permanent and non-permanent lecturers, as an effort to improve the quality of lecturer learning. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method and a questionnaire-based Spearman's Coefficient with 20 permanent and non-permanent lecturers as respondents in the Faculty of Law UAI. FH UAI also realizes that MBKM and Experiential Learning are expected to have a significant impact on the quality of the profile of graduates as candidates for superior and useful human resources in society and the world of work, of course, it takes time and a process that is not simple to implement and achieve results. optimal. The implementation of MBKM and Experiential Learning still leaves several problems that become challenges for teachers in particular and need to be faced together with related parties both within Al-Azhar University Indonesia, government agencies and relevant partners.Keywords – Lecturer, Experiental learning training, MBKM, Fakultas hukum UAI.

Abstract

The Merdeka Learning-Independence Campus Program in Indonesian is abbreviated as MBKM. MBKM, which was initiated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia has been running for one year. The aim is to increase the competency of graduates so that they are better prepared to respond to the needs of the times. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing more accurately the impact of holding the MBKM program on students at the Faculty of Law, University of Al Azhar Indonesia. The research method used was descriptive statistics and Spearman’s coefficient by taking a sample of 340 students from a total population of 600 students. The sampling technique was carried out by using random sampling, i.e., taking samples from members of the entire population at random, without regard to the existing strata in the population. The results of this study show that, first, students interest in participating in the MBKM program is in line with their level of knowledge of MBKM. After conducting a survey of 340 students out of 600, it was found that 93 students were interested in joining the MBKM program. Second, the small number of students participating in MBKM (93 students) was caused by technical selection factors, which limited the MBKM quota. Abstract

AbstrakKementrian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi  Republik Indonesia mencanangkan Program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka. Program Merdeka Belajar- Kampus Merdeka dengan delapan kegiatan. Program ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan, baik soft skills maupun hard skills, agar dapat menyiapkan  lulusan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dunia kerja serta menyiapkan lulusan yang mampu mengembangkan pribadi yang unggul dan memiliki kompetensi praktis untuk kebutuhan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan maksud untuk mengetahui secara valid tentang persepsi mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Alazhar Indonesia terhadap program merdeka belajar kampus merdeka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil data sampel sebanyak  mahasiswa 466 dari jumlah seluruh populasi sebanyak 669 mahasiswa aktif . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan persepsi mahasiswa tentang program MBKM adalah minimnya informasi dan pengetahuan terhadap program MBKM namun persepsi terhadap seluruh kegiatan MBKM mahasiswa beranggapan bahwa kegaiatan tersebut adalah kegiatan yang positif dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan lulusan dimasa mendatang yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri kerja.Keywords – Persepsi, MBKM, FH UAI

Abstract

This study measures the level of acquired information about MBKM Programs from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology among the students of the English Language and Culture Study Program at the University of Al-Azhar Indonesia. It employed a quantitative method in which data was drawn from a population survey. The population survey was conducted using the Spadadikti questionnaire for data collection. This study looks into particular data in response to question 1, that is to what extent students are aware of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. The response data were attained on the Likert Scale. The population consisted of students who were registered as active students for the academic year 2015-2021 (first semester, third semester, fifth semester, and seventh semester). The first two semesters were classified as “MBKM non-targeted students” whereas the later semesters were “MBKM-targeted students”. This study hypothesized that MBKM-targeted students would likely be more knowledgeable about MBKM Programs, while it would vice versa for MBKM non-targeted students. The result suggests the level of acquired information about MBKM programs is equally low. In other words, students of English Language and Culture at the University of Al-Azhar Indonesia are not necessarily aware of the programs, regardless of whether they are intended to join them. Abstract

Kampus Mengajar Program is one of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)'s program which gives university student one semester opportunity in helping elementary and junior high school teachers and head master to hold teaching and learning activity affected by pandemic covid 19. The campus teaching program provides opportunities for PG PAUD students to implement teaching skills as a provision to become teachers that have been obtained in college. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach which aims to analyze the teaching skills possessed by PG PAUD students during the campus teaching program. The results showed that the campus teaching program became a space for PG PAUD students to implement and develop their teaching skills. Three PG PAUD students who participated in the campus teaching program (100%) were placed in grade 1, two students (66.7%) in grade 6 and one student (33.3%) in grade 4. PG PAUD students were skilled in applying various teaching skills such as questioning skills, reinforcement skills, variation skills, explaining skills, opening and closing lessons, small group guiding skills and classroom management skills. However, students need to improve their teaching skills in managing classes and guiding small group discussions. As well as the need for coordination between students and campus teaching partners (schools) regarding cooperation to apply classroom management skills.Keywords – Kampus Mengajar Program, PG PAUD Students, Teaching Skil.

Abstract

The baby boom phenomenon is a condition of the Japanese population surge that occurred from 1947 to 1949. This was due to the decline in the Japanese population due to the bombing of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States in 1945 which killed 90,000-146,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000-80,000 people in Nagasaki. This condition resulted in all Japanese soldiers being withdrawn from the war and returning to civilian life. Life changes make residents focus on family matters, consequently causing a situation of explosive population increase of up to 5% every year. The purpose of this research is to reveal the baby boom phenomenon and its impact on 2018. Through the ethnographic method, the author examines the period of the baby boom generation, from the beginning of birth to the present. The research data were obtained from sources related to the early days of the baby boom generation to date. The results of this study, that the baby boom phenomenon, causes a very high level of competition from entering the preschool period to entering the world of work. As a result, this competition has an impact on maintaining life, thus ignoring marriage, which has an impact on the decline Japanese population in 2018.Keywords - Baby Boom Phenomenon, Impact, Japan's Population
