The study conducted through a mediation model of value creation and commitment as the power of the entrepreneur. Respondents of this study are 133 entrepreneurs of creative industry SMEs in Bandung City. Data collection is carried out through questionnaires and processed by path analysis using Lisrel software. The research findings show that market orientation correlates with the improvement of SMEs performance directly and through the mediation of value creation. It is different from entrepreneurs’ commitment that cannot mediate the correlation to SMEs performance. The research results strengthen the control of market orientation on the improvement of SMEs performance with support of value creation

Abstract

In Cirebon there are three palaces, namely Keraton Kasepuhan, Keraton Kanoman and Keraton Kacirebon. Until now, the three palaces still show their existence through tourist attractions, especially pilgrimage tours. Pilgrimages to the tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati, as one of the walisongo (propagators of Islam in Java) and also the ancestors of the three palaces, still attract visitors to visit the palace.  The research method used the Husserl Phenomenology method. Phenomenology is a way of thinking or "the style of thinking" with objects that are symptomatic in the form of facts or symptoms, circumstances, events, objects or reality. Construction through physical space, socio-cultural and economic attractiveness. The result is a tourist attraction with a unique local value in the form of "blessings". The value of the uniqueness of a tourist attraction is definitely different for other royal tourist objects, but these local values must be determined as an intangible heritage element of tourist attraction. These results can serve as recommendations for the conservation of the palaces in Cirebon

Abstract

This article will understand the role of the village’s head during the COVID-19 pandemic in Sampang regency in 2020. This article utilizes status and role theory by Linton to elaborate role, role facilities, and role-set the village head status as an analytical tool. Then the patron-client theory by Scott is used to understand the village head’s position as the “father” of the villagers. This article uses a qualitative approach and takes a case study of ten villages in Sampang Regency, East Java Province. The data collection technique was carried out through in-depth interviews with ten village heads and secondary data from the internet, namely the Sampang local government’s official website and local news online media. This article discovers that the role of village heads during a pandemic includes: the role of shaping public opinion to be aware of the COVID-19 virus, the role of consolidation through volunteers and information centers (Call Center), and the role of facilitators in the COVID-19 social assistance program. Besides, this article finds that the patron-client relationship between the village head and residents is still strong enough that the village head as the formal leader as well as the informal leader as the village protector during the pandemic.

Abstract

Problems in agricultural development often encountered in almost all regions in Indonesia are the inadequate use of natural resource potentials, limited ability to manage resources, and lack of synergy between economic actors. These various problems require improved performance through integrated management and development of commodities from upstream to downstream. This research aims to design a working model for the development of local superior commodities in Sukabumi Regency through a survey method conducted in 33 subdistricts. The research resulted in a working model design for the development of local superior commodities in Sukabumi Regency which involved aspects of resource contribution (labor/human resources, natural resources, capital and infrastructure) as well as aspects of work and performance (farmer institutions, extension agencies, financial and marketing institutions, education, training, experiences, sales ability and product demand) to be able to generate advantages. Until now, agricultural development is still facing various obstacles and added value (profitability, market, productivity and learning). All components in the working model design for developing local superior commodities in Sukabumi Regency must be supported by government policies to maximize the increase in added value for both farmers and the community

Abstract

This paper aims to examine descriptively the management of biodiversity carried out by the Bantul Regency Government as part of sustainable development. Strengths such as conservation of biodiversity and protection of ecosystems by the Government must go hand in hand with sustainable development. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, using data analysis obtained by researchers from research results, journals, and the official website of the Bantul Regency Government. The results show that the strategy in managing biodiversity in Bantul Regency is the maintenance of biodiversity using an integrated approach and a long-term perspective. This is evidenced by management that integrates the conservation value of biodiversity ecosystems. The issuance of several Regional Regulations on Biodiversity Management is concrete evidence, ensuring that no extinction or damage occurs in biodiversity in Bantul Regency. Management activities will be a strong foundation for realizing sustainable development through various conservation approaches such as In-Situ and Ex-situ conservation to implement biodiversity management programs in Bantul Regency. Other strategies/methods are creating areas/zones at several points of improvement in the area and their habitat while in the ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to predict the current and future demand for clean water, and efforts to develop clean water supply from a social aspect in Sentul City (SC). To estimate the need for clean water, it is predicted from the total population from year to year. Forecasting population in this study uses arithmetic and geometric methods, while Stella software is used to facilitate the analysis. Starting in 2030, it is estimated that SC will experience water shortages. The Community Based Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation or PAMSIMAS program and installation of smart tanks are proposed to overcome the problem water shortage of rural residents in SC. Meanwhile, for urban residents, they can collect rainwater that falls on the roofs of houses and collect it in smart tanks. The implementation of PAMSIMAS program and the installation of smart tanks in SC has an important function as a supplier of backup raw water sources to overcome current and future shortages of clean water.

People's daily life today can hardly be separated from digital media. Nevertheless,  digital media has both positive and negative impacts. The positive impact is digital media makes life easier, but it can also have a negative impact on people's well-being if it is not used properly and out of control. The presence of massive digital media requires wise users. However, it will not be easy for children to do so that they need accompaniment from parents. The form of accompaniment includes effective communication with children by increasing parent’s credibility so that children trust their parents and the objective of communication can be achieved. This research is conducted by applying descriptive method. The purpose of this study is to discover how parents communicate with children to help them choose, use, and recognize the benefits and negative impacts of digital media. The results show that parents have an important role in simultaneously accompanying and monitoring their children in using digital media. Parents must be able to communicate in various ways, have the ability to build empathy, own a sense of belonging in children, and allow children to express their thoughts and feelings; those are several considerations for parents in accompanying and monitoring children's digital media use.

Abstract

Local elections (pilkada) in Indonesia have many impacts, both positive and negative. Positive impact means local election is the implementation of direct democracy. Whereas, one of the negative impacts is the number of direct elections for regional heads that has led to the phenomenon of widespread corruption by regional heads (Kepada Daerah). In Lampung Province, eight (8) regional heads did corruption; four (4) of them caught red-handed with hand-catching operations (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of corruption in regional elections in Lampung Province. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. There are three (3) main factors influence corruption: first, anthropological factor, namely strong desire to rule; second, economic factor, namely the desire to obtain financial benefits from the results of power; third, sociological factors, such as the influence of family environment, social and political position status. The dominant factor is the economic factor due to the high political costs and large number of regulatory “loopholes” that can be manipulated for corruption. The high political costs are also caused by money politics.
