Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan metakognisi menulis mahasiswa semester baru STKIP YPM Bangko. Disain survey kuantitatif digunakan dengan melibatkan 71 sampel mahasiswa semester II STKIP YPM Bangko, yang berasal dari enam program studi. Data kemampuan metakognisi mahasiswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket skala Likert dengan empat skala. Dengan menggunakan analisis  statistik deskriptif sederhana ditemukan bahwa kemampuan metakognisi menulis mahasiswa termasuk kategori Baik. Kemampuan metakognisi tertinggi ternyata pada aspek aspek evaluasi sesudah menulis, dan aspek terendah yaitu aspek pengetahuan tugas menulis.

Abstract

Good laboratory purpose, regularity, sincerity and cooperation. Without proper management, the learning process will not be effective. This study uses the method of evaluation. This research data collection techniques using interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis was done descriptively namely: (1) reducing the data, (2) the display of data, (3) draw conclusions. These results indicate the following: (1) planning science laboratories carried out to the maximum (2) The program of work containing the order of the laboratory, the schedule use of laboratory and planning the procurement of equipment and materials lab that needed organizing in the laboratory already exists but not coordinated, because it involves only the principal, head of labs, subject teacher (3) evaluation of the implementation of the laboratory implemented by way of assessment which aims to see the extent of the involvement of students and in conducting keaktifanya during practicum. Based on the exposure of the research results it can be deduced that the science lab in the SMP Negeri 4 Merangin already meet the standards of laboratory management, which can be seen from their laboratory facilities are complete, the state of the rooms were adequate, have a clear organizational structure, the administration is complete. However, laboratory SMAN 4 Merangin still not equipped facilities ie washing drains former practice tools and waste disposal practices.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melaporkan hasil analisis kemampuan berbicara text deskriptif mahasiswa semester dua STKIP Muhammadiyah Muaro Bungo dan menemukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Adapun komponen-komponen berbicara teks deskriptif yang dianalisis meliputi isi, tata bahasa, kelancaran, pengucapan, dan kosa kata dengan kategori buruk, rata-rata, bagus, sangat bagus.  Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tes berbicara sebagai instrumennya. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa semester dua Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris tahun akademik 2015-2016.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Secara umum kemampuan mahasiswa semester dua dalam komponen berbicara teks descriptif  dalam kategori rata-rata dan bagus, (2) perubahan kemampuan berbicara siswa dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor, yaitu (a) faktor internal dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dan kecemasan, dan (b) faktor eksternal yang meliputi materi pembelajaran, kegiatan kelas, pengelolaan kelas dan pendekatan pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan dalam pengajaran berbicara teks descriptif masih memerlukan latihan-latihan yang lebih banyak sehingga dapat memberikan hasil yang signifikan pada peningkatan keterampilan berbicara mereka.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe the mathematical problem solving ability using a model of learning cycle is better than conventional learning. The approach is quantitative research with experimental method. The population of this research is class VIII SMPN 12 Merangin. The sampling technique using simple random sampling after the population meets the requirements. The technique of collecting data through the test, with the instrument in the form of essay to measure mathematical problem solving ability in the material loop. Data analysis techniques to test the hypothesis using Independent Samples t-test with SPSS 20. From data analysis of final test on experimental class gained an average of 32.89, while the control group gained an average of 24.44. The results of hypothesis testing known value oft = 7.122 and ttable = 1.675 with α = 0.05 and df = 51. Because tcount> ttable then Ho rejected and Ha accepted. The conclusion of this analysis, mathematical problem solving ability using the model learning cycle is better than conventional learning. Based on that suggested using the model of learning cycle in mathematics particularly in the matter of the circle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengaruh negatif  Gadged terhadap anak di RT 09 RW 03 kelurahan Pematang Kandis kecamatan Bangko dan yang menjadi fokus perhatian adalah kecanduan anak akan Gadged. Penggunaan Gadged secara berlebihan dapat mengganggu kehidupan sehari-hari, seperti  menghindari kontak atau kegiatan lain dan hanya berfokus untuk menyelesaikan permainan dalam Gadged tersebut. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada upaya orang tua mengatasi pengaruh Gadged terhadap anak di RT 09 RW 03 kelurahan Pematang Kandis kecamatan Bangko. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, penyebab, pengaruh, dan upaya orang tua dalam mengatasi pengaruh buruk Gadged terhadap anak di RT 09 RW 03 kelurahan Pematang Kandis kecamatan Bangko.

Abstract

This research studies about the students’ understanding in using past participle on passive sentences at the English Department students STKIP YPM Bangko. The purpose of this research was to find out the students’ understanding in using past participle on passive sentences at the third semester STKIP YPM Bangko. This research was descriptive quantitative method. The population was 24 students at third semester on English Department STKIP YPM Bangko. They were selected as the sample by using total sampling technique. The data was collected by using writing test on passive sentences. The finding showed that students’ understanding in using past participle on passive sentences at third semester of English Education Program of STKIP YPM Bangko in academic year of 2016/2017 were good. Key words: students’ understanding, past participle, passive sentences

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of  this research is to find out the effect of Direct Reading Thingking Activity (DRTA) strategy toward students’ reading comprehension of hortatory exposition text at Grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Merangin in academic year 2016/2017. This reasearch was an experimental research. It was conducted at SMA N 1 Merangin. The design of this research is quasi experimental with postest-only control group design. The population was the grade XI of SMA N 1 Merangin consists of 8 classes. By using cluster random sampling, it was found that XI IPS 4 as control class, XI IPS 3 as Experimental Class, and XI IPS 1 as try out class. The researcher used reading comprehension test of multiple choice questions as the instrument to collect the data. In analyzing the data, it used t-test that was helped by using SPSS 20.The result shows that students were taught by DRTA were better reading comprehension of hortatory exposition text than those who were taught by conventional strategy. In conclusion, DRTA strategy can be used as a teaching strategy in teaching reading comprehension of hortatory exposition text at SMAN 1 Merangin. Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Hortatory Exposition text, Direct Thinking Activity (DRTA) Strategy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low student learning outcomes in integrated IPS lesson. Based on the background of the problem, conducted research on improving learning results of integrated IPS using guided inquiry method of students of class VIII SMPN One Roof 11 Merangin 2015/2016 school year. The purpose of this study to determine the use of guided inquiry method is expected to improve the results of learning IPS integrated class VIII SMPN One Atap 11 Merangin. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). This study consisted of 2 cycles. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry method can improve student learning outcomes. For that the authors suggest to the integrated IPS teachers to use guided methods of inkuri in the learning process so that student learning outcomes can increase.

Abstract

 This research was an experimental research. It was conducted at STKIP YPM Bangko. The design of this research was quasi experimental research. Population of this research was Fourth year students with the total population was 92. The sample was taken by cluster sampling. To collect the data the researcher used reading comprehension tests. The data were analyzed by SPSS 16.0 of t-test. The result finding shows that GRASP technique gave significant effect on students’ reading comprehension than conventional technique. Based on the result finding, it can be concluded that GRASP Technique is effective to improve students’ reading comprehension. This technique could be used in teaching reading comprehension at students English Department of STKIP YPM Bangko.
