Abstract

Free radicals can cause various diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cataracts and premature aging. For that the human body needs antioxidants. Antioxidants can be obtained from plant parts, fruits, and vegetables. Gambier leaves contain catechins which are flavonoid compounds that can be useful as antioxidants. Ginger in addition contains Vitamin A, B6, C, and so on which can also be useful as antioxidants. In addition, ginger can also add aroma and taste to drinks. The method is an experiment with quantitative analysis. The purpose is to determine the feasibility of gambir leaf tea with the addition of red ginger as an anti-aging functional drink in terms of antioxidant activity (laboratory test), aroma, color, and taste (organoleptic test), and panelists' preference level test (hedonic test). This type of research is an experimental quantitative analysis. Data collection techniques are observation and documentation. The formulation used was gambier leaf with red ginger 2.5:1 (X1), 2.5:1.5 (X2), and 2.5:2 (X3). The results showed that the best formulation was 2.5:2 (X3). With a distinctive ginger aroma, warm taste, dark brown color, and favored by panelists. With antioxidant activity of 2354,8155 ppm. Thus, gambier leaf tea with the addition of red ginger is suitable for use as an anti-aging functional drink.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Destinasi Pariwisata terhadap model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrument penelitian. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Manajemen Acara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) sangat sesuai diterapkan di mata kuliah Manajemen Acara Prodi Destinasi Pariwisata.

Abstract

Abstract Many countries in the world are considering tourism as an important sector in their economy. A rapid growth of Muslim population, in consequence increasing the number of Muslim travelers with their high contribution to global tourism revenue, has made Muslims a potential group of customers to the tourism market. Achieving Muslim tourist satisfaction could be very challenging for Non-Islamic Countries, especially Taiwan. To attract the Muslim visitors, Taiwan is eager to offer a Muslim friendly environment since Muslim people have some basic and specific needs in line with their belief and thispracticeis called Muslim travel or Halal tourism. Importance-Performance Analysis was conducted in this study to investigate which hotel attributes satisfy Muslim visitors and to identify their expectations and satisfaction with these attributes. The results indicated that “halal logo or certificate and its display at the entrance of hotel” had the strongest influence on Muslim visitor’s satisfactions with hotels in Taiwan. The results reported will enable hotels to better manage their facilities for Muslim visitors to ensure the sustainability of business performance.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whether fresh graduates of vocational higher education who major in hospitality need opportunities to work in four-star hotels in Bukittinggi, (2) determining the competence of the workforce for SMK graduates majoring in Hospitality to be accepted into four-star hotels in Bukittinggi City as workers, (3) determining the absorption rate for SMK graduates majoring in Hospitality in four-star hotels in Bukittinggi. The research used qualitative approach using the Exploration method. This research was conducted at the Grand Rocky Hotel and the Novotel Hotel, which are specialized in housekeeping. The number of focuses on hotels to be researched will be grouped only for employees related to the Recruitment and Housekeeping Departmen HR Manager and Executive Housekeeper. The results showed that based on their experience in recruiting prospective employees, it was found that SMK graduates were less diligent, less honest and less disciplined, this was evidenced by their mediocre quality of work, arriving late and leaving early, if given the responsibility to carry out tasks frequently, so that the work is not running well and not on time. Based on the results of interviews, observations and data documentation, an employee for housekeeping must (1) be honest in behavior and speech, admit the mistakes made and able to communicate well, (2) diligent, work seriously, taking high initiative, (3) discipline and responsible. Thus, students majoring in hospitality basically have many job opportunities, but their successful is depend on their performance during their internship period of approximately 4-6 months. Moreover, teachers must instill a diligent, honest, and disciplined attitude in the learning process because the ability to work in housekeeping is not enough to secure a job.

Abstract

The use of marketing communications is very influential on the products offered. As a company with the main business engaged in weaving production, not many people know that Rumah Tenun Magelang can be a tourist destination. So, communication is important in introducing the product and attracting the target to visit. This research aims to determine the marketing communications used by Rumah Tenun Magelang and identify appropriate marketing communication patterns to further maximize the promotions that have been done. This type of research is qualitative and using data collection techniques from literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the forms of marketing communication used by Rumah Tenun Magelang are direct marketing, public relations and publicity, personal selling, merchandising and social media. As a comparison, this research used a marketing communication model from educational tourism Kampung Coklat Blitar. From this comparison, it is found that the marketing communication pattern of Rumah Tenun Magelang is complete the use of advertising, sales promotion, events, and social media, then combine all these marketing communications so that promotion can be maximized.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan pemasaran melalui media sosial facebook daya tarik goa batu kapal ditinjau dari 4 indikator yaitu : Context yang disajikan dalam usaha memasarkan Goa Batu Kapal di media sosial facebook belum memuat informasi yang lengkap, Communication dalam memasarkan Daya Tarik Goa Batu belum efektif, dapat dilihat dari sedikitnya respon pada setiap unggahan, belum adanya Collaboration yang dilakukan oleh akun pokdarwis Goa Batu Kapal Solok Selatan dan belum terbangunnya Connection di akun facebook Pokdarwis Goa Batu Kapal Solok Selatan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan penentuan strategi pemasaran lewat media sosial facebook Goa Batu Kapal Kecamatan Sangir Balai Janggo Kabupaten Solok Selatan ditinjau dari Context, Communication, Collaboration, dan Connection. Jenis dari yakni penelitian deskriptif melalui data kualitatif. Teknik untuk mengumpulkan data yakni melalui penggunaan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi menyertakan 7 informan kunci memakai teknik snowball sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis SWOT yakni melaluimengidentifikasi Kekuatan (Strenghts), Kelemahan (Weaknesse), Peluang (Opportunity), dan Ancaman (Threats). Penelitian ini menghasilkan strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk pemasaran melalui media sosial facebook Daya Tarik Goa Batu Kapal Kecamatan Sangir Balai Janggo Kabupaten Solok Selatan.

Abstract

An overview of the characteristics of motif design, including motif design, decorative patterns, placement of motifs, color combinations, and gold thread embroidery techniques on wedding dresses and aisles in Naras Kota Pariaman, is presented in this study. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the main data needed in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To get the validity of the data obtained through triangulation. The results of this study are 1) The design characteristics of the motifs used in gold thread embroidery products sourced from nature (naturalists) are clam flowers which are stilasid into ornamental shapes, other motifs used are roses, jasmine flowers, orchids, kaladi leaves, sunflowers, kaluak paku, animal motifs such as lions and peacocks. The decorative patterns used include standing edge decorative patterns, climbing edge decorative patterns, roadside decorative patterns, hanging edge decorative patterns, rectangular fillings, triangular field fillings, and sowing patterns. The placement of motifs on the wedding dress includes the neck, sleeves, bottom of the shirt, the back of the shirt, tokah, while on the aisle the placement of gold thread embroidery motifs on banta gadang, lansia, tabia, lidah-lidah, ondas-ondas, angkin, and Dalamak. 2) The color combination in this embroidery product uses a primary base color, and a combination of neutral colors, monochromatic color combinations, and complementary color combinations. 3) The gold thread embroidery technique used is first to prepare the tools and materials, make the motif on paper/directly on the cloth, trace the motif, embroider the motif using gold or silver thread and then wrap it with ordinary thread using the sewing technique , then done. The materials used for wedding dresses are satin, velvet, and bridal, while for the aisle the materials are satin and velvet used

Abstract

Permasalahan ditemukan bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang bervariasi sehingga siswa kurang minat dan monoton dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media video pada materi perawatan pedicure spa serta mengetahui tingkat validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitasnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development).Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah 4D. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket/kuesioner. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas XII KC 1 sebanyak 29 siswa di SMKN 6 Padang. Teknik analisis data yang diperoleh yaitu data validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian analisis data validasi desain media video diperoleh 0,76 kategori valid dan data validasi materi diperoleh 0,85 kategori sangat valid. Hasil analisis data praktikalitas oleh siswa adalah 88,1% kategori sangat praktis dan oleh guru adalah 94,5% kategori sangat praktis. Hasil analisis data efektifitas menunjukkan hasil pretest memperoleh nilai dibawah KKM yaitu 62,52 kriteria efektif, sedangkan hasil posttest memperoleh nilai diatas KKM yaitu 86,66 kriteria sangat efektif. Rata-rata N-Gain Score adalah 0,65 kategori sedang. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media tersebut efektif digunakan. Disarankan hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis video guna mempermudah guru menyediakan materi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

After the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak had an effect on the world of education, changes to the learning system were directed to an online home study policy. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning management on competency achievement in the Pastry course. This research method uses a quantitative method by comparing student learning outcomes online during the pandemic and before the pandemic in the Pastry course at the IKK FPP UNP department. The Pastry course is a basic practical course that requires more direct lecturer guidance. Based on the comparison of the average value of learning outcomes, it shows that the class that does face-to-face learning has an average value of 8.8 with a standard deviation of 8.52775. Meanwhile, classes that do learning with online or online media have an average of 7.5 and a standard deviation of 7.52775. This shows that the average value with face-to-face learning has an average higher than when using online learning using the e-learning classroom application. It turns out that management for pastry colleges is better using face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Internship is one aspect that greatly influences career planning in students. This study aims to determine the correlation between internship and career planning in students of the 2019 class of Cosmetology and Beauty department, Padang State University. This type of research is correlation which has two variables, namely the variable internship (X) and the variable career planning (Y). The population in this study were students of the 2019 Cosmetology and Beauty Department, Padang State University. The sample in the study was 37 students from the 2019 class of beauty and cosmetology department who were taken by random sampling. Data collection on educational variables used documentation data, namely internship value data and on career planning variables using questionnaires. Data analysis used product moment correlation analysis to determine the correlation between intership and career planning. The results of the data analysis show that the value of the correlation coefficient (r) between the variables of education and student career planning is 0.597 and the p value is 0.0000. The determinant value (r2) is 35.7%, so this indicates that internship makes a positive and significant contribution to student career planning. It can be concluded that: there is a positive and significant correlation between internship with career planning for students of the Cosmetology and Beauty department class of 2019, Padang State University. The results of this study can be used as material for consideration for lecturers of the Cosmetology and Beauty department in improving the educational quality of student skills and student career planning through the learning process, and for universities as material for consideration in curriculum development to improve the quality of student education.
