Abstract

This article discusses the role of school principals and foundations in developing Islamic educational institutions, focusing on the quality of education and leadership. This study aims to provide an overview of the role that must be performed by school principals and foundations in developing Islamic educational institutions. A literature study is used to present the picture. The results showed that the principal must have managerial abilities, while the foundation plays a role in setting policies and motivating the team. The implication of this research is the importance of adequate understanding, experience, and knowledge for school principals and foundation chairmen in developing Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

The era of globalization requires every individual to be able to think critically in order to face challenges. This can be done by developing students' critical thinking skills through the use of appropriate learning models, namely the Group Investigation (GI) type model which supports this achievement, of course in line with the desired core Civics learning . This research is qualitative research using the literature review method. The research results show that the use of the GI model in developing students' critical thinking in Civics lessons does act as a guide for students in the current era of globalization to make a contribution to themselves, others, and even the nation.

Abstract

Many Indonesian women no longer wear kebayas because they consider them impractical and prefer modern clothing. This research aimed to create a campaign by creating visual communication design media so that Indonesian women want to wear kebayas in their daily lives. The method used in the research is descriptive, with data obtained from interviews, questionnaires, which were responded to by 112 respondents, and literature studies. The research results used above, below, and through-the-line media techniques. The media used were posters, billboards, Instagram, and creating a booth by distributing brochures, tote bags, and notebooks. This campaign will make Indonesian women aware of their love of Indonesian culture and want to wear kebaya daily.

Abstract

This research aims to describe sogket weaving in equatorial weaving tourism village. The existence of this village began to be widely known after it was inaugurated by the Mayor of Pontianak in 2018. The research method was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and literature searches. The results showed that weavers in this village still produce songket motifs and patterns typical of Pontianak Malay, but Sambas characteristics dominate even though they use gill motif fabrics. The patterns and textures are also innovations of new creations from the craftsmen themselves. The new motif, which is a weaver s creation, does not yet have a name like a typical Pontianak Malay motif or a typical Sambas songket weaving cloth.

Abstract

The research objective was to find out how personal pronouns used by the students in writing narrative text at SMAN 2 Koto Baru, Dharmasraya. The research method was descriptive qualitative method. The data source was documents. There were 38 sheets of student writing about narrative text. The research finding was the students still made mistakes in using personal pronouns such as subject pronoun (correct 61.1%), object pronoun (correct 32.2%), possessive adjective pronoun (correct 49.7%), possessive pronoun (correct 0%) and reflexive pronoun (correct 0%). It can be concluded the ability of the students in using personal pronouns still less.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is expected to be a solution to increasing education gaps. The purpose of the study was to conduct an analysis of the implementation of the independent curriculum, information about obstacles, challenges in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 17 Surabaya. The method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection is carried out by conducting interviews with subject teachers, vice principals for curriculum, and making observations. The results of the descriptive analysis that the implementation of Pancasila Education learning at SMA Negeri 17 Surabaya runs effectively and systematically, there are curricula, teaching materials, teaching media, as well as teaching methods, facilities, learning resources by considering the characteristics and needs of students. The obstacle is that there are still incomplete learning resources, not all teachers understand the application of the independent learning curriculum in learning.

Abstract

Transition signals is one of the main important things in composing a coherent paragraph; in fact, many students still feel struggle to apply them in their academic writing. Therefore, this research is conducted in order to provide a comprehensive overview of how current students use transition signals in their undergraduate thesis. This research is conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data are obtained from nine findings and discussion chapters on undergraduate thesis of English department students. The data are classified based on the types of transition signals by Oshima and Hogue (2006). The result revealed that all types of transition signals are existed in undergraduate thesis, those are transition signals for chronological order, order of importance, additional idea, cause and effect, comparison and contrast, giving example, and conclusion. The type of transition signals that most frequently used is transition signals for addition whereas the type of transition as the least used is transition signals for order of importance. Also, the type of transition signals that most incorrectly used is transition signals for chronological order

Abstract

Penelitian ini terfokus pada nilai-nilai Islam, unsur-unsur ritual dan sajian yang terkandung dalam tradisi brokohan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dan pendekatan antropologi budaya yang membahas terkait hubungan timbal balik manusia (human) dengan kebudayaan (cultur). Seperti halnya tradisi brokohan di Babadan yang merupakan hasil kreasi masyarakat Babadan. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang dapat menghasilkan data berupa ucapan, perilaku, atau tulisan yang dapat diamati dari pelaku itu sendiri. Kemudian dapat mengungkapkan atau memberikan gambaran mengenai fenomena yang baru dipahami maupun yang belum dipahami sama sekali. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah adanya nilai-nilai Islam yang terkandung dalam brokohan diantaranya ialah nilai aqidah yang merupakan ekspresi rasa syukur atas semua anugerah yang diberikan oleh Allah SWT. Nilai ibadah merujuk pada doa-doa yang dilakukan untuk menyembah Allah SWT. Nilai amaliah, masyarakat senantiasa beramal dengan memberikan sedekah kepada sesama. Nilai ukhuwah Islamiyah, melibatkan banyak orang dalam menjalin hubungan silaturahmi yang erat. Nilai dakwah, yakni menyampaikan ajaran-ajaran Islam kepada orang-orang yang hadir.

Abstract

In the context of the era of globalization, liberal citizenship has become a major focus, influencing global politics and human rights. This research explores the role of the state, citizen participation, and the protection of individual rights, identifying obstacles to the implementation of the concept of liberal citizenship. Through content analysis methods and literature meta-analysis, this research explains the dynamics of liberal citizenship with a focus on Indonesia, revealing the complexity of the relationship between individual freedom and state responsibility. The research findings highlight political, cultural, and economic barriers to achieving ideal liberal citizenship. The implications show the need for careful regulations regarding technology adoption, improving law enforcement, and protecting human rights to create an inclusive and responsive society to global change.

Abstract

The era of society 5.0 today plays an important role in everyday life, especially in education, which requires learning innovation. This research aims to develop learning innovations for an effective society in the 5.0 era. The method used to test the validity of flipbook learning media with AR is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the study showed that the educational media is valid, with a score of 80,5% for the material experts and 80,8% for the media experts.
