<![CDATA[Drugs are an important component of health services that are the needs of the community. There is still a lack ofcommunity knowledge of medicines and management especially for family members, hence an educational effort as well asimprovement of quality of drug management in family through training program and mentoring by pharmacist. Thiscommunity service activity aims to determine the knowledge and attitude of the community in managing drugs in the familyand improve the quality of drug management by the community in the family. The activity was conducted in SidasariWetanKubangkangkung Village Kawunganten Cilacap. The workshop on drug management in family was conducted by pharmaciststo the 33 participants. Data collection was done by using questionnaire and observation through home visit. The result of theactivity shows that the increase of knowledge and attitude of the society in managing drugs in the familywere 10% and 7%,respectively. Workshop activities and mentoring by pharmacists can provide benefits and behavioral changes in family drugsmanagement.]]>

<![CDATA[Knowledge of animal feed and waste is an important component in building the livestock industry. The aspectof availability of feed and the production of livestock waste is one of the problems by cattle farmers in MattirowalieVillage, Libureng Sub-District, Bone Regency. Efforts to increase the capacity of farmers in solving these problems areneeded to increase the productivity of their livestock. This program aims to increase knowledge for farmers of beef cattlein processing agricultural and livestock waste into feed products and processing them into organic fertilizer. This activityis an implementation of the Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Unhas (PPMU) Program Kemitraan Masyarakat(PKM). This activity was carried out in Mattirowalie Village, Libureng Sub-District, Bone Regency. The partner groupsinvolved as targets were the "Kurusumange" and "Masempo Dalle" farmers group (FG). The number of trainingparticipants involved in this activity is approximately 25 peoples, overall were cattle farmers with 2-3 cattle/person. Theimplementation of technology introduction programs was carried out in the form of training programs and technologyassistance. Several technology packages that have been implemented were: 1) ammoniation technology, 2) complete feedsilage fermentation technology, 3) manufacturing of local microorganism (LM) technology and 4) Urea Molasses Block(UMB) manufacturing technology. <![CDATA[At this time there are a lot of garbage which is getting more and more increasing every day, such as the numberof used glass bottles which are also increasing in number. This problem is both a challenge and an opportunity for thePKM-M team to carry out service activities in the field of community empowerment in the village 01 Paya Pasir MedanMarelan North Sumatra. This activity aims to provide understanding to the community to utilize used glass bottles as adecoration of interior elements by using painting techniques and adding Toba Batak ornaments and motifs to the glassbottle. The activity began with a visit by the PKM-M team accompanied by a supervisor, then the PKM-M Teamcooperated with the Kelurahan management for technical implementation. The implementation method used includes twomajor things: the preparation stage and the core stage. The results of the implementation that have been achieved are allsessions in the preparation and core programs of socialization, inauguration, core activities and evaluation of activitieshave been carried out well. <![CDATA[Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Banyuwangi have a proportion of 99.81% compared to largeand medium industries which amount to 0.19%. The types of bread and cakes UMKM develop along with the busyness of thecommunity and the dynamics of social life. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to increase the knowledge andproductivity of the Micro Business Bread and Cake Group in the village of Pesucen and Kalipuro Village, Kalipuro District,Banyuwangi Regency. This PKM activity is carried out by holding a vertical mixer dough mixer and an automatic heat regulating bread oven. The next step is to carry out production management and bookkeeping training activities as well as operating training and equipment tools. <![CDATA[Implementation of this research has been carried out in the copra small industries "Bangun Mandiri" inKupang and aim to expand inter island marketing as one of community welfare. Outputs and outcomes are achieved suchas improving quality and quantity of white copra products through improved designs of multi-functional vertical furnacesystem copper dryers, especially in-house improvements, door frames, outer boxes and fireplaces as well as increasedcapital investment in the form of oven machinery; an increase in sales turnover of 30%; conducting Lab-scale researchfor possibility consuming dry coconut shells that have been patented as an additive of copra-scented foods/drinks andexpansion of marketing area through Pentahelix's partnership to accelerate inter island marketing. Measurable outcomeis to produce oven machine with complete design, also publication on scientific journal. In the future it is expected thatthe SMEs can further focus to quality control by involving academics or local government. <![CDATA[This article is based on the Community Partnership Program (PKM) which seeks to solve the problems facedby Osing indigenous community, especially the Mocoan Association of Lontar Yusup and The Archipelago IndigenousYouth Front (BPAN) of Osing from the aspect of preservation strategies and revitalization of the Mocoan Lontar Yusuptradition. The solutions offered from this program are the preparation of transliteration and translation of the contents ofLontar Yusup, digital documentation (pictures, writings, sounds and videos) stored in the form of Digital Video Disc(DVD) and Mocoan Lontar Yusup training for young people. The activities are in the form of making a book containingperso-arabic texts, transliteration and translation of the contents of Lontar Yusup, training module which contains theway to recite Lontar Yusup accompanied by digital documentation and Mocoan Lontar Yusup training for young peoplewhile the mentoring method was carried out by the team continuously during the period of the PKM program. <![CDATA[This Community Partnership Program involved partners of farmer group in Budimukti Village, Damsol District,Donggala Regency, namely Panca Jaya and Subur Jaya farmer groups. Problems faced by both partners were: a) Cocoa shellsaround the cocoa plantations were increasingly piling up and left without handling because there was no technology toprocess the waste to have economic value to improve community?s standard of living. b) The surrounding community did notknow that cocoa shells can be processed to be charcoal briquettes as an alternative fuel to replace kerosene and to be liquidsmoke as a natural insecticide and preservative. c) They did not have skills in making charcoal briquettes and liquid smokefrom cocoa waste as raw material. The program aimed at improving farmers' knowledge and skills in designing technology tomake charcoal briquettes from cocoa shell waste and techniques in making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste and theirrespective uses. The methods used were counseling and training as well as the practice of designing technology to makecharcoal briquettes and assembling technology for making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste. Assistance to members ofpartnership groups was carried out with Participatory Methods. Extension activities were carried out in an effort to improvetheir knowledge, while training and demonstration plots were carried out in an effort to accelerate the process of technologytransfer to the community. The end results of this program were the increase in farmers? knowledge and the availability oftechnology packages for making charcoal briquettes and making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste, so that the targetgroups can be independent in carrying out business activities using cocoa shell waste using the technology that had beenpracticed, on an ongoing basis]]>

<![CDATA[The achievement of Mathematics contestants from the City of Pare-pare is very concerning. In February 2017elementary school mathematics competition was held. Of the 82 participants from Pare-pare, there were only 13 studentswho got scores above zero. Other students get zero or less than zero (negative). In March 2018, from 17 MathematicsEvent XVIII 2018 participants from Pare-pare, only 5 students had got positive scores. There was a decrease in interestand achievement in Mathematics in elementary school students in Pare-pare. <![CDATA[Garbage is an important issue in everyday life, especially in boarding schools occupied by approximately 2500 students. The amount of waste that many every day cause many problems. In this community service is accompanied by recycling training of plastic waste to reduce the impact on earth. Assistance is carried out for 22 days with the activity is the provision of materials about waste, providing training reuse of plastic waste. Practice making various handicrafts from plastic waste. Evaluate the consolidation of results. From the evaluation results obtained the conclusion that this assistance received a positive response with all activities followed until the end. Participants produce works that can be reused such as bags, wallets and shopping bags. For the results that have been achieved in bag making obtained an average of 80 which means in terms of material variation, design and harmony of products with the category of being. Itmeans that there is still a need for future facilitation to be able to make better crafts]]>

<![CDATA[Banyuwangi Regency is one of the agricultural centers in East Java province and Indonesia. Mostly,Banyuwangi people work as farmers due to the fertil soil and wide amount of agricultural land in Banyuwangi . Thelarge number of people who work as farmers initiating the formation of farmer groups. One of the farmer groups in theSrono sub-district of Banyuwangi is the "Tan Selo 1" farmers group located in the village of Sukomaju and the "TanSelo 2" farmers group in Sukonatar village. The normal average price of one banana bunch in Banyuwangi is between50-60 thousand depending on the type and quality of bananas. Problems arise when the quantity of bananas in the marketarose, the price of 1 bunch of bananas decreases dramatically. The price of 1 bunch which is usually set at 50-60thousand drops drastically to only 20-30 thousand. This is certainly a problem for farmers in the Tan Selo group. The lackof knowledge of Tan Selo farmers about alternative variants of processed banana based products and the lack ofknowledge of the marketing strategies make it hard for the Tan Selo farmers to increase the economic value of bananaswhich have been used as an alternative income for farmers. Therefore, the solutions offered to overcome the problems offarmers include: equipping and improving farmers' knowledge about the variety of processed banana-based foods andtheir marketing strategies, conducting training to make variations on banana-based foods, conducting training oneffective marketing strategies. Overall, a series of community service programs were carried out perfectly as it expected.The percentage of participants' understanding in choosing high quality bananas is 85%, the percentage of participants?ability in processing banana-based foods is 86%, and percentage of participants who successfully sell processed foodproducts by utilizing online shopping sites is 70%]]>
