Abstract

The agrocomplex business unit at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School began to be pioneered for development in the freshwater aquaculture sector from spawning, making pellets / independent feed to processing processed fish products (catfish and tilapia). The potential for higher market demand to meet the needs of fish (catfish and tilapia) in the Malang area is an opportunity for Islamic boarding schools to participate in this section, socially and culturally, students' representations are important exponents in the reality of empowerment, the provision of an entrepreneurial spirit is very much needed in industrial era 4.0, the balance between spiritual and entrepreneurial spirit is a good provision for community application. The cultivation of freshwater fish is emerging developing throughout Indonesia, there are fundamental problems faced by all farmers, one of the drawbacks formulation of fish feed less to optimize the potential of local materials, especially waste and lack of knowledge to formulate feed containing protein, fat, fiber ash and vitamins. At this time, the price of feed used by farmers soared and began to burden the sustainability of the cultivation system. Increasing feed prices and reducing profits or net profits can affect the sustainability of aquaculture, therefore we need a new innovation independent feed movement that has better nutritional and nutritional content at a price that is much more affordable and grows tangible profits. The problems experienced by Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school regarding the formula of independent feed in freshwater fish farming can be overcome through the independent feed movement (GEPARI) the application of fish pellet technology by utilizing livestock waste, vegetable waste that has not been optimized. The maximum utilization of this waste can provide significant results because the nutritional and nutrient contents that meet the innovative completed multiple waste concept are solutive, then this problem will be resolved.

Abstract

Fishery products are one of the products that have very limited durability and perishable so that the community, especially fishermen, preserve the product so that its freshness can last longer. One of the preservatives used is formalin, although it is very dangerous to human health. Some food products that contain formalin include: fresh fish, salted fish, tofu, wet noodles. Counseling on food safety needs to be continued widely to the public in various forms. This activity aims to educate and train partner groups on: 1) the dangers of formaldehyde on health; 2) characteristics of formalin food ingredients; 3) how to detect formalin foods; 4) eliminate / reduce formaldehyde levels in food products; 5) safe preservatives. The activities was carried out on February 7, 2019, in Desa Untia, Kecamatan Biringkanaya, Kota Makassar. The target group is fishermen and fisheries processors, as many as 23 people. The method used in service is counseling and training methods through lectures, discussions, and practice/training. The extension activity was attended by Untia village chiefs, local fisheries instructors, administrators of the All-Indonesian Fishermen Association (HNSI) and the target group. The activities went on smoothly and the target group enthusiastically attended counseling and training, because the knowledge/skills were needed to protect their families from the dangers of disease that could be caused by inappropriate use of formalin.

Abstract

The development of Kampung Biru Arema (KBA) to become an educational tourist destination in urban areas is a necessity to support an increase in the community's economy. Development carried out independently has not shown optimal results so that it requires the intervention of various parties to support in realizing the aspirations of the community. The academic community of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences as part of its academic responsibilities takes part in developing the village in the form of community assistance. This community service program is intended to provide assistance to the KBA community to become an integrated educational tourist destination. After conducting a series of preliminary activities, an agreement was reached to develop five (5) tourist points to be further developed as the main sites for KBA tourism activities. The five points were named Tourism Areas: History, Dolanan, Disaster Mitigation, Arema, and Basa Walikan. The stakeholders involved in this program have shown seriousness in the effort to realize the ideal picture of the direction and form of the KBA and committed to carry out development as planned together in the next phase. For this reason, the community service team embodies the shared understanding in a tangible form in the form of visual designs, physical structure in the form of miniature areas developed in tourist areas. In addition, the team also constructed an area at the KBA tourist location as a model for the realization of the visual design.

Abstract

Gunung Anyar Tambak is one of the villages that is located adjacent to the UPN "Veteran" campus in East Java. Most (2/3) of the Gunung Anyar Tambak area is the pond area, which has the main yield is milkfish. Besides being sold in fresh form, milkfish from ponds from Gunung Anyar Tambak are also processed into a variety of processed products including shredded, crackers, soft thorns and milkfish ?sapit?. Milkfish ?Sapit? is a processed milkfish which is unique in its serving. The milkfish are clamped using bamboo stems and then processed using a choice of spices that make a distinctive taste in this dish. Processing by burning, causing a distinctive aroma that is not forgotten. Barokah is one of the community groups of ?sapit? milkfish processing in RW I of Gunung Anyar Tambak Village which consists of 6 people. Chairman of UD. Barokan is Hj's. Khasibah, explained that most of the milkfish produced are only fulfilling orders from the surrounding area and orders from outside the city to be used as souvenirs typical of Surabaya. From observations and interviews it is known that the problem in processing milkfish is a very simple packaging that is a very thin plastic bag that is not closed. The second problem is that the packaging has no labeling at all, even though the label can identify the identity of the product in the package. The importance of labels on food products in addition to being the identity of the packaged product is also a communication between producers and consumers. Therefore a very absolute label must be given to the marketed food products. Training has been conducted on packaging and labeling milkfish ?sapit? in UD. BAROKAH, Gunung Anyar Tambak, Surabaya. Before being packed with a vacuum packer, milkfish saplings are first dried in a cabinet dryer for 3 hours at 60°C. Labeling on milkfish packaging is in accordance with the law on food labeling on primary (plastic) and secondary (carton) packaging. In addition to providing training, our team also donates dryers and Vacuum Sealers.

Abstract

This article is the result of PPDM (Mitra Desa Service Program) about Baluran bos javanicus (Banteng) village tourism. Development of bull village tourism is an effort to solve the problem of wild grazing in Bunaken National Park. In the event of Banteng Village Tourism, it is necessary to support tourism, namely creative industries, agro-tourism, and NTFP production (non-timber forest products). One of the NTFPs that is relied upon is Arabic gum. Currently, cattle breeders in the banteng village area have been able to produce Arabic gum as a result of the introduction of tapping technology by the 2019 PPDM team. The dedication method is in the form of dissemination and field practice. Three groups representing breeders were trained to tap acacia gum through a drilling method combined with ethephon induction as GIS. One week after application, the group begins harvesting gum and submits the results to the group leader. Then the group leader sends the results to the Cooperative in Pondok Pesantren Assalam, Sumberanyar, Banyuputih Situbondo. The amount of Baluran Arabic gum that was collected by the group for three months reached 143.9 kg. This service activity concludes that the strength in producing Baluran Arabic gum is significant in improving the welfare of breeders in supporting the maintenance and retention of a Banteng.

Abstract

The availability of quality forage in the dry season is an obstacle to increase livesctok productivity.  The highest livestock production cost is feed, 60-70% of the total livestock business needs, so feed is the main component for animal husbandry development.   Indigofera zollingeriana is a legume plant that can grow well for a long time as a Forage (HMT), adapts very well to diverse environmental conditions, and is tolerant to long dry climates.  Another advantage of this plant is the high nutrient content, which is 35% protein, 15% crude fiber, 86% digestibility and very low anti-nutrient content.  The advantages of this plant need to be shared with the community, especially farmers.  Belabori Prosperous Village-owned business entity, is one of the BUMDES that has developed Indigofera since 2018, but the community has not utilized this plant optimally.  Belabori Village is an area with a significant number of cattle including cattle, goats and poultry.  To disseminate the use of Indigofera, Sekolah Petani Desa program is conducted, a learning house with lecturers, students, farmers, breeders and Bumdes to process Indigofera into nutritious feed and to be used in the dry season.  The purpose of ?Sekolah Petani Desa? activities is the transfer of technology of research results in the laboratory to the field.  SPD activities become a direct application media for campus research results to the field of farmers and ranchers and provide invaluable experience for researchers, ranchers and students who are directly involved in community service activities that are integrated with the field work practices of animal husbandry students.  This activity was successfully carried out and achieved the output target, namely breeders can process Indigofera into green concentrate flour, pellets, UMB, hay and silage.  Indigofera is the main source of protein for cattle and goats in the village of Belabori and is used by Bumdes to be a source of income through green concentrate businesses.
