Abstract

The local content curriculum includes curricular activities (activities related to the curriculum) which are used to develop student competencies that are tailored to regional characteristics and potential, including regional excellence. The aim of this article was to anlyze how the implementation of local content curriculum Tahfidz Qur'an at Senior High School Istiqomah Bandung, to analyze the obstacles factors in the implementation of the local content curriculum of Tahfidz Qur'an, and to analyze how to face the problem in implementing local content curriculum Tahfidz Qur'an. The researchers used qualitative methods. Using Interview, observation, and documentation data was collected. The result showed that the implementation of local content curriculum at Senior High School Istiqomah Bandung used three methods, namely sabak, sabki, manzil. The evaluation of Tahfidz Qur'an activities was done regularly either daily, weekly, monthly, and in each semester by submitting the real data about assessments and program activities as well as student memorizing developments. In implementing Tahfidz Qur'an, there were several factor obstacles, namely: laziness and lack of enthusiasm in memorizing, lack of concentration and weakness in memorizing. In responding to the existing obstacles, the teacher or ustadz has taken several actions, include providing motivation to keep the spirit of memorizing the Qur'an, giving rewards or gifts, extracurricular Tahfidz Qur'an, and conducting evaluations. Abstract

This article was to improve the students’ speaking skill at the eleventh grade at sate senior high school 10 Bandar Lampung through Hassle Lines Strategy. Classroom Action Research was used in this method, with the sample of twenty six students that consist of 8 male and 18 female.In cycle of Hassle Lines Strategy, 81% the students prepare the conversation actively, 92% students practice orally, 65% students can mention the body language, and 85% students share to the teacher. From questionnaire, the researcher got the data Hassle Lines Strategy implementing was 91% of student agree and 9% of student disagree, the positive respond accomplished. From the test, 81% of students passed the KKM in post Hassle Lines Strategy implementing. Keywords: Hassle Lines Strategy, Speaking Skills, Learning Strategy

Abstract

This article aims to determine the effectiveness of using Edmodo-based online learning with the help of Quizstar to improve student learning outcomes for electric lighting installations. The research method used quasi-experimental design. Observation sheets and documentary studies were analyzed in this study. The subject were 43 students that consist of experimental class 21 and the control class 22 students. The research was conducted in six meetings, each class, namely three times meetings. The results showed the value of t count <t table (3.501 <1.997). This means that Ho is rejected so that Ha is accepted or it can be said that online learning using quizstar assisted edmodo is more effective than learning blogs for students majoring in electrical engineering education for semester 3 in the electrical power installation course.. Abstract

This study illustrated the implementation of supervision by school principals, particularly in the use of instructional media during the teaching and learning process in 90 Seberang Ulu II Palembang Primary Schools. This research method uses qualitative research methods and data collection is done by direct observation techniques in the field, documentation and interviews with teachers and school officials. The results showed that the implementation of academic supervision of the use of instructional media in Palembang 90 Primary School uses different techniques. To find out the use of instructional media objectively during the teaching and learning process, the Principal of State Elementary School 90 conducted a class visit supervision technique and also an individual meeting technique with a direct approach in accordance with a predetermined plan. There are factors that inhibit the implementation of academic supervision. The two factors influence the implementation of media use supervision learning in Palembang 90 Primary School. Nevertheless, all problems can be overcome until the supervision of the use of instructional media is carried out properly. Keywords: Supervision of the Pprincipals, Learning Media

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren is one of the oldest educational institutions in Indonesia. The significance of the kiai's role in the boarding school is directly proportional to his leadership in managing and directing the entire community in his cottage, especially the students and their influence in society. While the model in leading his Islamic boarding school, each kiai has his own method for advancing his pesantren. This happened because of the kiai's focus on developing his boarding school and the environmental conditions of the surrounding community. This article was describe how the leadership role of kiai in Islamic boarding schools in developing the institutions. This research was descriptive research methods with a qualitative research approach. The main finding in the researcher was the figure of a kiai with his charismatic character that able to have a positive effect in the development of the Islamic boarding schools. Abstract

This study determined whether there was an effect of academic competence on teacher’s performance, whether there was an effect of teacher’s motivation on teacher’s performance and whether there was an effect of academic competence and teacher’s motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in Prabumulih Utara District. The sample of this research is civil servant teachers, consist of 59 teachers. The data were collected using questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique used the SPSS Version 21 software program application. The results of this study explain that there was an effect of academic competence on teacher’s performance, there is an effect of teacher’s motivation on teacher’s performance and there is an effect of academic competence and teacher’s motivation simultaneously on the performance of junior high school teachers in Prabumulih Utara District. Abstract

This study determined the effect of interpersonal communication and work discipline on teacher performance. This study used quantitative methods. The sample of this research was 50 teachers of SMA Negeri 21 Palembang. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation study, and observation. Data were analyzed using classical assumption test, multiple linear tests, coefficient of determination test and f-test. The results of this study indicate that there is partially and simultaneously significant effect of interpersonal communication and work discipline on the performance of teachers in SMA Negeri 21 Palembang. Abstract

This study aimed at finding out management of the use of facilities and infrastructure in learning, obstacles and the solutions in Elementary School of 25 Betung. This research used a qualitative method. Subject in this study was the principal, teachers, infrastructure coordinator, school committee and supervisor. Technique of collecting data employed observation, interview and documentation. The technique of data validity used triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis techniques used interactive model. The management of learning facilities and infrastructure is utilized through planning, implementing and controlling facilities and infrastructure. The obstacles are the storage area requires funds for expansion and repair, and a lack of administrative personnel, especially for the management of facilities and infrastructure. Solving budget problems by optimizing the limited personnel is to be more observant in determining the priority scale according to the existing budget, then involving existing personnel in formal courses or training.
