Abstract

Defending the state is the attitude and actions of citizens based on love for the country, awareness of the nation and state, belief in Pancasila as the ideology of the nation and state, willingness to sacrifice to face threats, challenges, obstacles, and disturbances (ATHG). To achieve national goals, the Astra gatra composing National Resilience requires an integrated implementation system that refers to geopolitical dynamics. This integrated system can be stated in a state defense system that already has a strong legal basis in the 1945 Constitution, as well as Law Number 3 of 2002 concerning State Defense (Law No. 3/2002), Article 9 of Law Number 3 of 2002. Law -The State Defense Law also classifies state defense into three groups, namely the Main Component (TNI), Reserve Component, and Supporting Component. In implementing state defense, a citizen can do it both physically and non-physically. Physical state defense includes struggling to take up arms when there is an attack from a foreign country against national sovereignty. Thus, it is necessary to further study the implementation of existing policies regarding state defense, as an effort to strengthen the state defense system of the Republic of Indonesia. Abstract

This study is entitled “Translation Shift of Adverbs of Manner in Reference to ‘City of Bones: Mortal Instruments’ by Cassandra Clare”. The aims are to identify the equivalences of adverbs of manner translated into Bahasa Indonesia and to analyze the shift of adverbs of manner in the novel. The data was collected by close-reading to identify the English adverbs of manner and its translation into Bahasa Indonesia found in the novel, highlighting the data found in both of the novels, comparing the data found to find the equivalences in both source and target language, then note-taking the data found to be analyzed afterward. The theories used in this research are the theory of translation proposed by Larson (1984) and the translation theory of shift proposed by Catford (2000). The results show that the English adverbs of manner found were equivalent to prepositions dengan, sambil, oleh, bagaikan, seperti, and secara that were followed with adjective, noun, verb, adjective phrase, noun phrase, verb phrase, or adverb after the preposition. The translation shift that occurred in the translation was category shift, in which the adverbs of manner shifted into an adjective, verbs, and numeral, and another type of translation shift that occurred was a level shift, in which adverbs of manner shifted adjective phrase, the noun phrase, and verb phrase.

Abstract

Rice farming for Indonesia is vital. Rice farming is inseparable from the fact that rice farming is the livelihood of most of the population, while rice is the staple food of almost all Indonesians. The nature of rice that is easy to process and, following the public consumption culture, causes a very high dependence on rice. On the other hand, the price of rice is quite volatile. If the price of rice is soaring high, it can cause changes in the pattern of rice consumption. Some people want a stable supply and rice price, available at all times and evenly distributed and at affordable prices. Because the cost of rice is quite fluctuating, it is necessary to have a model that can be used to predict future rice prices so that the right policies can be implemented. Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedastic (ARIMA-GARCH) is a useful model for evaluating and predicting price fluctuations. This model's application is implemented in the national average retail rice price data between January 2007 and December 2017. In this study, rice data in the study period was not stationary at the level so that differentiating was carried out in the data. The best model is ARIMA (1,1,2) and Garch model (2,0). In this model, the data has complied with the white noise assumption, and the resulting GARCH model is free from the heteroscedasticity assumption.
