Abstract

Sidomulyo Village, a flower tourist village, in Batu city is one tourist destination in East Java Province based on local wisdom as an icon of Agro-industrial and Agro-tourism in the development of regional tourism. The local products from Sidomulyo Tourism Village include ornamental plants, cut flowers and batik. Sidomulyo Batik UKM is a batik producer with a capacity of 20 sheets per month @ 2.25 m2 and uses manual coloring technology. So far, UKM Batik Sidomulyo has been doing the coloring process in partnership with UKM Batik in Banyuwangi and Trenggalek Regencies due to technological limitations in the processing of batik liquid waste which still contains hazardous and toxic materials so if no action is taken it can damage the ecosystem. One of the strategic solutions is the technology transfer of the mini Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) which utilizes biological waste treatment technology by utilizing bacteria and facilities that are Proven Technology. The mini WWTP installation uses 3 processing rooms including (1) separation of wax content from liquid waste, stirring with coagulant treatment to separate liquid waste from B3 waste and (3) purification of liquid waste by treating biofilter media and anaerobic bacteria. The levels of BOD and COD of the waste will be measured before and after the use of the mini WWTP so that it will be environmentally friendly without reducing the quality of batik as a support for souvenir products typical of Sidomulyo Tourism Village.

This community service activity is carried out by educating patients with diabetes at the Internal Medicine Department of the Islamic Hospital Surabaya. Diabetes exercise carried out by the GLC group which was carried out independently by the participants showed an average decrease in sugar levels with an average of 12.5 points with participants who routinely did regular exercise 4 times a week showing the largest number of points of decline. Sig. (2-tailed): Probability value / p value Paired T test: Result = 0.000 shows that there is a difference between before and after treatment. Abstract

The small and medium enterprises partners for typical dodol production took longer time in cooking dodol which spend approximately 8 hours by human power. The raw material is traditionally cooked by using firewood. The raw material, heat level of firewood, and the stirring speed determine the quality of dodol produced. This activity of community service aims to apply a technology of stirring machine to produce dodol in a culturally-based enterprise activity. The solution offered to the partners is designing the stirring machine by maintaining the traditional elements for a better product quality. The cantilever body is designed by using two bases permanently planted on the floor of the cooking place so that the partners may still utilize firewood. Its strong design helps a condition of expansion effect caused by the ember. The typical dodol of Gorontalo has a solid thickness texture which requires a bigger machine torque. The driver unit implements an electricity machine of 1 Hp with 1400 rpm of speed. The electricity machine is connected to a gearbox with a 1:8 ratio aimed to reduce the machine speed. The stirrer uses a stripe metal designed with an aerodynamics concept. The small and medium enterprises partners are trained to be able to use the stirring machine for an effective process of cooking. The output target of the stirring machine technology are the cooking efficiency with 4 – 5 hours of consuming time, human power efficiency, and the increase of the daily production capacity up to twice

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to increase the efficiency in production process by applying screw press equipment and improving sanitation and hygiene in its production. The method of implementing activities uses discussion and training techniques. The activity is carried out in three stages, firstly survey on condition and discussion with partners relates to the conditions of producing pressing enbal, secondly the manufacture of pressing tools, third is the application of pressing tools in production activities of partners. The results of the activity showed that the screw press was able to produce enough water of enbal / grated cassava so that it is drier than the traditional method. Press time becomes faster which only 12-15 minutes, whereas in the traditional way it takes 14-24 hours. The content of enbal’s water decreases very low, reaching 5-7%, the sanitation becomes better because the juice is no longer stagnant on the ground but is collected in a bucket, and the use of pressing tools is very practical. Likewise the HCN level is very low, less than 3mg / kg so the product is very safe for consumption. This screw press is very helpful in the efficiency of the production process of plate enbal (cassava plates) which is cleaner and healthier.
