Abstract

Kepulauan Meranti regency is one of the centers of sago production and fish in Riau Province even at the national level. Sago noodles are the region’s leading food products with a proximate composition high carbohydrates and low protein. The objectives of this PKM activity are (1) to transfer the technology of processing various-colored fish and sago noodles, (2) introducing the technology of processing sago noodles fortified with fish and shrimp concentrates, and (3) increasing the nutritional value of various colors and flavors of fish sago noodles as regional superior products. The method used is the method of active participation learning system with phases: (1) The preparation phase, which is to approach the partners and explain the purpose of implementing PKM activities. (2) The implementation phase, which is providing counseling and training to Partners. The technology transfer given is the processing of various colors and flavors of fish sago noodles, then one month of assistance is carried out which ends the evaluation phase of the activity. The results obtained are activities have taken place well, and partners have had direct experience in the transfer of technology in the production of various colors and flavors of fish sago noodles. This activity has been able to provide enlightenment and insight to partners about product and business development. Technology transfer activities resulted in participants’ responses to counseling and training of the target audience that 90% was very helpful and 10% could help.

Abstract

The devotion to the community of Pulau Cawan in Indragiri Hilir Regency carried out in the form of counseling and training which generally aimed at making the community, (especially the cadres of Family Welfare Empowerment or PKK), acquire skills in processing fishbased food and creating new independent businesses. The use and development of Pulau Cawan as an ecotourism area needs to be followed by activities that can improve the welfare of the surrounding community. With the opening of new jobs, it is ultimately expected to improve family welfare. Through this extension and training activities, it is hoped that when fish catch and production abundant or fish prices are falling, it can be saved by processing them into various processed products made from fish, especially snacks and cookies which are of high economic value and nutritious. The results of the activities received good reception and appreciation from the local community, the PKK cadres and Pulau Cawan Headmaster. All the participants confidently will empower their groups to create and start to open businesses in making these fish-based food products. The Head of Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries even promised to provide wider assistance for the development of the product, including its marketing.

Abstract

Pineapple is an agricultural product that is widely cultivated in Riau, including in Dumai. Most pineapples from Dumai was sold as fresh fruit consumed by the local citizen, because it’s demographically difficult to compete with pineapple production from Kampar which is closer to the provincial capital, Pekanbaru. The excess production at harvest results in some fruit not being sold and wasted. Likewise, fruit damage due to the wrong way in harvesting. This encourages people through farmer groups and community activity units to treat pineapple fruit into snacks such as pineapple dodol, pineapple chips, pineapple jam, and others. The problem lies in many workstations, long working time and simple equipment. As a result, the profits generated weren’t comparable to the resources deployed. The purpose of this activity was to assist the pineapple dodol’s maker by designing and making production aids such as pineapple peeler and dodol pineapple mixer. The method of this activity was counseling and training. The object/partner in this activity was UKM Kemuning which is located at Jl. Muslim No.1 Mundam, Kecamatan Medang Kampai, Dumai. The results obtained from this activity was an increase in the working time of making dodol from previously 3-4 days to just 1-2 days.

Abstract

The assistance in the management of Village-Owned Enterprises aims to provide input on constraints faced by the village government to achieve the management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) that have not been optimal. In accordance with law No. 6 of 2014, that villages are given the authority to carry out the administration of government in accordance with the interests of the village community. Village authority has been granted based on village propositions which cover government affairs provided by the district / city that have been submitted to the village. Villages have an obligation to provide governance that aims to prosper their society. In order to achieve this, the Village Original Income (PADes) was also supported to strengthen the village economy, through strengthening BUMDes that sided with the institution in optimizing Village Original Income. Inaccessibility of Village Original Income (PADes) occurs due to the lack of role of BUMDes. It also has an impact on society in strengthening the economy of the community. This is what happened in Penyengat Olak Village, jambi sub-district outside the city of Muaro Jambi district, which caused it to be unable to be independent in various aspects. Therefore, the existence of socialization in community service is expected to provide a better impact and solutions in solving the problems that occur and aim to explore the potential of the village in the context of sustainable community empowerment.

Abstract

The waste of cassava peel is thrown away by the community, cassava peel can be used as a variety of snacks including sticks. Sticks are an attractive, varied and easier to carry, can be an innovation in increasing people's income. The service activity aims to provide knowledge, skills and guidance to PKK mothers, UMKM people in processing products made from cassava peel into sticks in Kampung Panjang Village. This activity is expected to motivate the entrepreneurial spirit towards innovative and economical efforts to increase income. The method of this activity is counseling in the form of serving the benefits of cassava peel and training and guidance on how to process cassava skin into steak. The results of the community service are obtained: a) Participants knew the benefits and importance of training cassava peel processing as an alternative to household side activities, b) Activness the participants during the service shows a positive response seen from the enthusiasm, discussion, question and answer and good cooperation. c) The achievement level of the target program has been the participants who have applied the processing of cassava peel to sticks with various flavors.

Abstract

The Procedures Standard Operating is a manifestation of a standard measure of providing quality services to the community and part of the basic tasks and functions of the state apparatus as public servants. In the process of providing services, it is required to have standard operating procedures for services in each implementing unit. Quality, fast, easy, affordable and measurable services can minimize deviations and decrease performance in service providers. This dedication activity has provided assistance to village government apparatus in compiling standard operating procedures by the dedication team of the Government Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Jambi University. The service method used is the lecture method, discussion using the prepared knowledge material and the practice of making standard service procedures directly accompanied by the dedication team. The location of community service activities was carried out in the Petajen Village, Bajubang District, Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province. The results of the activity evaluation show that all village apparatus are very appreciative of the existence of mentoring activities in making standard operating procedures. This is expected to be able to maximize the service so that it can direct the community effectively, efficiently, consistently and full fill the standards.

Abstract

Tanjung Belit village, which is administratively located in the buffer zone of Bukit Rimbang Wildlife Reserve, Bukit Baling, has customary territory in the area of ​​customary forest around the conservation area and inside it which is traditionally managed by expressing local wisdom. Among the potential natural resources of Bukit Rimbang Wildlife Reserve, Baling Hill is Batu Dinding Waterfall and the Subayang river flow which has now become one of the potential tourist objects and has been designated as an ecotourism area. In recent years, ecotourism has been quite visited by surrounding communities and including the City community. Support from various parties is needed to build a sustainable ecotourism including institutional development and infrastructure. Community service activities will be carried out in Tanjung Belit Village, Kampar Kiri Hulu District, Kampar District. The target of the activity is the Village Apparatus, Community Leaders and members of the Sadar Wisata group. The purpose of service activities: 1). Identify and formulate village potential so that the community is able to become a part of developing ecotourism in Tanjung Belit Village. 2). Find a model of community empowerment in developing Tanjung Belit ecotourism that is based on culture and local wisdom. From the results of the service it was obtained that this activity went well. Enthusiastic participants were high, especially from members of the tourism conscious group Tanjung Belit Village, then ninik mamak, village officials and the community. The outreach material delivered provides enormous benefits and the discussion is very interesting, namely increasing the ability of the community to see and develop village potential, especially in the field of tourism. With the increase in public awareness, it is expected that participation from various parties, both local and private governments, will also help in providing various tourism support facilities and infrastructure so that the potential for tourism visits is higher. Thus it is also expected that in the future the economy of the community can improve through the tourism sector.

Abstract

SDN 120 Pekanbaru is a school located on Jalan Pesisir Ujung RT 3/RW 9 District of Rumbai Pesisir, Kota Pekanbaru, Riau Province. After the survey, this school did not have Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) and there were still many students who did not yet have the knowledge and implementation of good health. To solve health problems, the authors provide a solution in the form of a children's health education club called SUPERMAN to be implemented in the school. SUPERMAN is a program with a new concept created to direct elementary school age children to be more concerned with Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) and the nutrition. The method used in the implementation program is through lectures, training, mentoring, games, and direct applications. The results achieved at this time are the SUPERMAN club has been formed with Semua Sehat; Perbaiki Lemak Dulu; Enaknya di Ruangan; Roar di Outdoor; and Mantap Badanku, Sehat Tubuhku (evidenced by the club's formation certificate, management decree, and club guidebook), members' nutritional status books (there are 6 obese children (21%)), there are five posters and brochures, and the documentation. After this activity was carried out, there wqas an increase in studeny knowledge by 20%.

Abstract

The proposed Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) will provide solutions to the constraints of BUMG in developing new business units by innovating environmentally friendly and effective bricks without burning. Partners in this case the village BUMG Seneubok Baroh have abundant natural resources, one of which is the availability of clay as a basic ingredient in making bricks without burning. The problem faced by partners now is that BUMG is not running effectively, the lack of knowledge from BUMG managers in utilizing the potential of SDA in developing new businesses that are able to improve the welfare of the village. the methods of service activities used include training and mentoring in the making of new BUMG businesses, ie bricks without burning, provision and training of brick molding tools, website-based e-commerce creation and training and financial application training. The level of achievement can be seen in terms of attitudes, socio-cultural, and economic changes in the target community with the existence of a new business unit for BUMG which has not yet had a business unit, training partners for brick business operations without being burned, training business financial balance and training BUMG admins to managing websites for the promotion of brick businesses.

Abstract

Activity the PPM team provided training and mentoring to increase sales and production processes as well as the use of E Commerce application media as a medium for the right marketing for Melati 2 in Batjoja Village, Mentawai Island. The target of this activity is. 1) The business group gets knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of sales. 2) Business groups have the knowledge and understanding of promotional media using E Commerce 3) Business groups can apply the knowledge gained from training with the right skills in managing production and promotion. The method in this activity is to analyze the situation of the community by giving several times of mentoring and training in the production process and sales promotion. The results obtained from this service activity are partners Very enthusiastic in activities and want to increase sales, but are still constrained by internet access.
