Abstract

789 hectares of land in Pulau Punjung sub-district are currently in very critical condition, especially in Nagari Sikabau and Nagari Tebing Tinggi. The main cause is the exploitation of natural resources through the activities of the people's gold mining since 2005 which is unstoppable. This situation is exacerbated by the condition of people who do not care and do not have an awareness of the importance of managing environmental sustainability. Nagari government as the spearhead in environmental protection and management is also like losing the idea to initiate a concrete action in dealing with environmental problems in the former mining land. The main cause is the lack of knowledge and skills as well as the capacity of the apparatus in managing the environment on ex-mining land. Through workshops (education and training) with a participatory training approach method will give birth to apparatus who have knowledge, special expertise in the field of environmental management and become a main pillar in building environmentally conscious village communities.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have become the belle of Indonesia's economic growth. The contribution of MSMEs to GDP in 2018 reached 60.34%. This contribution encouraged the government to further develop MSMEs, including its management aspects such as preparing financial statements. The existence of free trade areas also requires all industries to present their financial reports using international standards, including palm oil industry both large and small, such as MSMEs. Therefore, IAI has issued PSAK 69 concerning agriculture which adopted from IAS 41 using a biological asset approach. However, the PSAK does not show its application to this industry, given the broad scope of agriculture. Through national research grants in 2018, researcher have carried out studies, and produced technical reporting guidelines. At this time, we have already disseminated the findings to oil palm MSMEs. Survey and dissemination for preparation financial reporting used to this activity. This activity were carried out at Kepenghuluan Mukti Jaya, Rimba Melintang District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The results showed that an increasing of understanding to the importance of financial statements in general and the results of financial reports for the oil palm industry in the MSMEs target area.

Abstract

One of the growing industrial activities in Bengkalis is the business in the field of production of Traditional / Traditional Foods. Currently known for some typical / traditional foods that are in demand, including dodol, Bolu, Onion chips and others. But there are entrepreneurs of the products sold there who have not registered their brands. Whereas the consequences of not registering a trademark enable the occurrence of counterfeiting or unfair competition which is also greatly felt by business actors and protection of the trademark is also very necessary. The purpose of community service activities is to provide socialization and understanding to the public about the importance of trademark registration and trademark registration procedures. This activity can also increase knowledge competence, skills, community motivation, and role in trademark registration. The importance of providing assistance to the community in protecting the products they produce. The initial activity was initiated by taking information from the community about food products in the Pangangalan Jambi village. Data collection techniques carried out by interview, observation and document analysis. The existence of local products produced by the community in Pangkalan Jmabi Village has made this village a choice in community service activities. Community service activities carried out through personal and community approaches. The results of community service activities showed the enthusiasm of the community attending a series of activities, and the active role of the community was quite good. Activities carried out continuously and continuously have a positive impact on community growth and development.

Abstract

The cooperative of Perikanan Pantai Madani is the institution of a public refueling station for fishermen (SPBU-N) who distributes subsidized diesel fuel for fishing activities in the Pambang Pesisir Village and surrounding areas. All purchases transactions were implemented manually and used common counting tool and recounts occur to retrieve information for the needs of monthly and annual reports. This empowerment aimed to provide convenienced for SPBU-N manager due to gain information for recapitulation of subsidized fuel distribution, and the daily (monthly) and annual stock reports to PT Pertamina can be delivered on time, confidently. The mothods used were presentation, technical guidance and monitoring. The result of these activities were the availability of a standard form which developed from real transaction data (2014-2018). The SPBU-N manager has used the form provided and recorded the distribution of subsidized fuel oil for 2019, which made easier for the manager obtained the information needed for reporting since daily records have been integrated with the monthly and annual report information needs.

Abstract

Village development is currently experiencing significant has change in concepts and processing. Villlage development concept not just in agraris sector and base infrastructure, but has been pointing in information technology and communication development. Since 2018, internet network has come to this district, and become an oppourtunity for the community to use the smart internet and develop village potential and community business to increase the economics and prosperity. These are the focus of this coaching program. The method of this coacing program are description concept to use smart internet to increase the prosperity and economics, discuss the potential, problem and solution their problem and simulation for the practice. The result of this program are solve their problem about the ability and increase the community ability to use smart internet and their can develop their business to be more suistanable and can increase the prosperity.

Abstract

SME (Small Medium Entreprise) potentials to this extent, not enough to be able to maximum, otherwise many businesses SMES (owners) often have internal problems so it is difficult to develop and compete both between SMES and with the big producers. This relates to the problem of financial management which is one of the problems often encountered in SMES. Generally, the perpetrators of this activity start their efforts by having a reckless capital without being equipped with long-term capitalization plans as well as managerial skills and knowledge needed in entrepreneurship. This training aims to make the community or people of SMES in Kuantan Singingi District can optimize its business and can develop its business to improve the community economy. With this training the community becomes able to finance its business, as well as able to compete with larger producers later. This activity is conducted with a lecture model, discussion, and practice directly to prepare financial statements. This activity is also open to share problems faced by SMES in Kuansing District, so it will get solutions to the problems that occur. The results gained from this training are the increase in knowledge and ability of business actors to develop financial statements so that they can improve community SMES and lead to the improvement of the development and welfare of society.

Abstract

National examination, as an evaluation of national standard benchmarks to achieve good quality students, should have had questions component with high order thinking skills (HOTS). HOTS questions should be applied in national-level subject such as chemistry. The significance of a lesson related to the daily life activities was still not yet integrated in the learning process comprehensively due to several targets that needed to be completed by the teachers.This kind of problems was experienced by students in SMAN Siak Hulu. According to Puspendik Kemendikbud (2017) that showed the results of National Exam of SMAN Siak Hulu from 2015 up to 2017, it proved that the average scores of Chemistry subject decreased year by year in a row; 78.13 (2015), 63.86 (2016), and 48.33 (2017). This issue signified that HOTS orientation in Chemistry class was still relatively low. Therefore, Community Service (PKM) activities are needed, So that teachers and students could comprehend the HOTS question by joining Edu-PHOTSIC program.Edu-PHOTSIC program was conducted in three phases; preparation phase, implementation phase, and report phase. The results of this program showed that there was an improvement of understanding about the use and implementation of HOTS question by teachers and students.

Abstract

Household waste if not managed properly can cause various health problems. Good management of household waste can have economic value and improve the economy of community. Organic waste can be processed into compost that is useful for agricultural land while non-organic waste can be recycled into high-value items. This waste management problem also occurred in Bagan Sinembah Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir Regency. Through community service activities at University of Riau, socialization of organic and non-organic waste management, composting training and decoupage art applications on used goods in households were conducted. The level of success of this activity is considered good in quality, but the quantity of trainees is still lacking. Increasing the number of target communities needs to be done so that the waste management efforts at Bagan Sinembah become more optimal.

Abstract

Citrus plants are one of the mainstay horticultural commodities in Kampar Regency, Riau Province, especially in Tanjung Village, Koto, Kampar Hulu District. The main obstacle to citrus cultivation is the large number of pest attacks. In the previous experience of citrus plants in Kampar Regency these plants had to be destroyed because theye were attacked by CVPD and Phythopthora spp. This service aims to provide knowledge to farmers in Tanjung Village about the types of pest that attack oranges, attack symptoms, influencing factors and control methods. The ultimate goal is to increase citrus production so that farmers' income increases. Dedication is given by counseling and demonstration methods. Results and achievements the service program resulted in improved farmers' knowledge and skills about the types of pest and environmentally friendly control techniques for citrus plants. The service method includes counseling and demonstration in service activities were very well responded by citrus farmers. Previously farmers had never received material on introduction and control of citrus pests, in addition they faced issues in citrus cultivation i.e. pest therefore e participants paid close attention and asked many questions. Evaluate the achievement of the results of the questionnaire by holding counseling about citrus pests, farmers became aware of types of citrus pest, attack symptoms, and alternative control techniques that are carried out since citrus farmers only had knowledge on and applied control techniques using synthetic pesticides. Thus this service provides great benefits to citrus farmers in controlling their citrus pests.

Abstract

Puji dan syukur kami haturkan kehadirat Allah SWT, karena atas rahmat dan hidayah-Nya, Prosiding ini dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Prosiding ini merupakan kumpulan makalah yang telah dipresentasikan dan didiskusikan dalam Seminar Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat tahun 2019 yang diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Riau (LPPM Universitas Riau) pada tanggal 21 Agustus 2019 di Pekanbaru, dengan tema Dampak Nyata Pengabdian Perguruan Tinggi Membangun Negeri. Prosiding ini disusun untuk mendokumentasikan gagasan dan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dikelompokkan ke dalam 6 sub tema, yaitu Ekonomi dan Sosial Budaya, Kesehatan, Komunikasi, Lingkungan Hidup, Teknologi Tepat Guna, Pendidikan. Prosiding ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat berkelanjutan di masa yang akan datang. Dengan demikian hasil pengabdian dalam prosiding ini dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan dan memotivasi terwujudnya pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan dan membawa kesejahteraan.
