Abstract

In the construction of a building project, one of the important elements in a building project is finishing work. Finishing work is a process of finishing or final completion of a building. The success of finishing work on the building depends on the success of each stage of the workers. Meanwhile, one of the factors influencing the success of a finishing work is the productivity of its workforce. This study aims to analyze productivity and what factors affect the productivity. This research uses the Relative Importance Index (RII) method, used a likert scale or a scale of 1 to 5 based on the perception of the level of interest of each respondent. Based on the results of the analysis, the performance of the project Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Pondok Cina Depok City on wall works is considered not good because the productivity index value is less than 1. Whereas the performance for floor and ceiling work is considered good because the productivity index value is more than 1. Factors that affect the productivity of finishing work are environment, work safety, education level, work experience, wages, and age. Keywords: Building, Finishing Work, Productivity.

Abstract

One of the factors in achieving project success is influenced by the role of a project manager. Project managers (PM) as project leaders are required to have and fulfill the competencies needed to ensure the realization of project management, so that the project is said to be successful. The competency of a project manager according to the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Sixth Edition (2017) can be measured by three aspects known as The PMI Talent Triangle which consists of Technical Project Management, Leadership Skills, and Strategic and Business Management. This research aims to identify the competence of a project manager whose dominant influence on the success of the project and determine the magnitude of the effect of the application of project manager competencies on the success of construction project. Data were collected through a survey using a questionnaire which was distributed to a total of 30 respondents who are employees of the project. Data analysis was performed by multivariate regression analysis. From the results of the analysis, the regression coefficient values for the Technical Project Management, Leadership Skill and Strategic and Business Management variables were 0.423, 0.097, and 0.437. From the results of the coefficient of determination test, it was found that the influence of project manager competencies on the success of building construction projects was 44%. Abstract

Reinforcement of a slope is a step that is often taken in increasing the Safety Factor (SF) of an embankment or excavation. In the road toll Cikopo - Palimanan the road which discount a lot of excavation and heap case the resulted in the magnitude of the possibility landslide. This studies to evaluate about handling of a landslide STA on the road toll Cikopo - Palimanan namely at KM 122 + 600 Line B here reinforcement sed is Geotextile. The analysis is used in calculating the Safety Factor (SF) manually or using a program Geoslope using methods Bishop where the field of landslide divided into several segments to be calculated force that worked in the segments from the analysis manually without the influence of the earthquake number of safeties is 1.6 and by using the program the result is 1.5. For analysis is with the influence of the earthquake (kh) of 0,2 obtained the numbers of safety 1.05 using manual analysis and 0.9 using the program. From these results, the slope without reinforcement with the influence of the earthquake must be strengthened because SF 1.10. Reinforcement using geotextiles is divided into 2 because the embankment height is > 6 meters, namely the lower zone and the upper zone, with the distance between the geotextile and the length of the geotextile being the lower zone of 0.30 m and 30 m, while for the upper zone the distance between the geotextile and the length of the geotextile is 0. 60 m and 18.5 m. Abstract

One of the air quality conditions in the Special Capital City Region (DKI) Jakarta is the transportation sector. The air quality index is dominated by moderate conditions, even at dangerous levels. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to lock down in March 2020. Research in several countries has shown that air quality has improved because people's mobility has been stopped. This study aims to determine the effect of the lockdown imposed in DKI Jakarta on its air quality and see a comparison at each point. The method used is descriptive method. The data analyzed in this study were collected from 5 points of the Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS) monitoring tool. Based on the research, it was concluded that the lockdown imposed in DKI Jakarta only affected the location of point 1 at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout. The Air Pollution Status Index (ISPU) is dominated by good air quality conditions. Other areas such as West Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta and South Jakarta, the lockdown imposed in March 2020 did not have any effect on increasing the ISPU value. In 2021 the air quality condition in DKI Jakarta is worse than in previous years at all monitoring points since the activities have returned to normal and traffic jams frequently occur. Abstract

The West Sumatra earthquake on September 30, 2009, has left a long sorrow for the families of the victims. The number of children who died at “Bimbel” center at that time was a proof of how vulnerable and at-risk children were to the threat of earthquakes. Learning from the past earthquakes, the local government and policy makers of West Sumatra Province have taken steps to take preventive measures, especially since the 2009 earthquake. Follow-up efforts such as reconstruction and rehabilitation have also been carried out well. However, these efforts will be meaningless if they are carried out sporadically and unsustainably. Efforts that have been carried out and have developed so far must be carried out from upstream to downstream in a more focused manner, starting from children to adults. Community capacity building, both through systematic socialization and sustainable disaster education, must continue to be carried out in every condition where there is no potential disaster in a disaster-prone area. The Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 24 of 2007 concerning disasters, it is states that one of the groups of people who are vulnerable to disasters is the age group of children. Earthquake disaster education and knowledge need to be introduced early on. This study aims at evaluating the importance of literacy and disaster education for children. The method used is an evaluation method and a review of several previous studies, then summarize the results obtained from some of the previous studies. The results of the study stated that disaster literacy for children is important to do from an early age, so that they have more readiness and capacity to face disasters in the future. Keywords: Disaster Literacy, Disaster Education, Earthquake.

Abstract

One of the concrete technologies developed to obtain good compressive strength of concrete is additional material for iron lathe waste obtained from the residue of the iron turning process. This study aims to determine the effect of iron lathe waste as a fine aggregate additive on the compressive strength of concrete. The compressive strength test of concrete was carried out based on The SNI standard 1974:2011. The sample making of the specimens was carried out by varying 0%, 1.5% and 2.5% of iron lathe waste from the weight of fine aggregate in a concrete mixture with a concrete compressive strength of 29.05 MPa. Concrete samples were tested at the age of 7 days, 14 days, and 21 days. The test results show that the maximum compressive strength of concrete is achieved by normal concrete (0%) which is 28.96 MPa at the age of 21 days of concrete. While the value of the compressive strength of concrete after being given a mixture of iron lathe waste decreased. The optimum concrete compressive strength with the addition of iron lathe waste was obtained at 24.63 MPa with a mixture of 1.5% at the age of 21 days of concrete. The decrease in the compressive strength of concrete due to the addition of iron lathe waste. It occurs because of the air trapped in the concrete, causing the concrete to be hollow and not solid, so that the compressive strength of the concrete decreases. Abstract

Mortar is an especially important component used for construction. The building blocks of mortar consist of cement, fine aggregate, and water. In this study, oyster shells were used as a substitute for fine aggregate due to the increasing production of oyster shells every year, with the hope that the use of oyster shells could reduce oyster shells waste in the environment and obtain innovations for the construction world. The test objects were made in the form of a cube using a mixture ratio of 1 PC: 3 PS with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of shells against the weight of sand with a test time of 3 days, 14 days, and 28 days. Before making the test object, the mortar constituent materials were tested first, then the mortar design was carried out after all the constituent materials met the requirements. This study also used SPSS software to determine the effect of using shells as a substitute for fine aggregate on the compressive strength of mortar. From this study, it was found that the effect of oyster shells substitution was 17.6% at the age of 28 days compared to mortar without shells. The use of oyster shells can increase the compressive strength of mortar up to 97.6% at the age of 28 days. A variation of 15% was found at the age of 28 days as a variation with a maximum compressive strength value of 18.06 MPa. Keywords: Compressive Strength, Mortar, Oyster Shells.
