Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of prospective teachers to prepare themselves to become real teachers through creativity, emotional intelligence, and locus of control. The approach used in this research was quantitative research with a survey model research design with a population of 755 and a sample of 261 economic education students who have completed the teaching practice program. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and a structural equation model were used to evaluate the data. The study's findings included the following: first, aspiring teachers were innovative in their use of and development of original learning methods, models, and media so that they are easily understood by students and can be used by future teachers to teach correctly, effectively, and efficiently to boost student motivation. Second, prospective teachers could maximize their potential with mature emotional intelligence when teaching practice programs. Third, the embodiment of confidence about the self-efficacy of future teachers in implementing teaching practice programs caused their potential to increase so that they could be channeled properly, as evidenced when interacting with students in delivering subject matter at school. The results of this study confirm that overall, the six hypotheses have a positive and significant effect; through teaching and learning activities and other teacher responsibilities at higher education schools, prospective instructors can demonstrate their performance in realistic scenarios.

Abstract

This study was aimed at revealing the relevance of the education budget to the achievement of Human Development Index on the education dimension in Central Lombok Regency of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. This study used a descriptive method with a naturalistic approach. There were 45 research subjects involved taken by applying the purposive sampling technique. Data was obtained through focused synthesis, documentation, literature study and questionnaires which were descriptively analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the relevance index reached 0,35% (less relevant), because the financing programs and educational activities were not in line with the grand design of education. The achievement of RLS is low (6.29) and HLS (13.87) which has an impact on the minimum education index (0.59). What is indicated to have an influence is the goodwill and political will of the local government, sources of education budget, connectivity to education planning, implementation of educational programs and activities, management of education financing and commitment of education managers guided by well-managed governance.

The development stages included information gathering research, planning, initial model design, preliminary testing & model revision, main model testing & model revision II, operational testing & model revision III, and performance character education models. The results of this study indicated that the performance character education model effectively strengthened the performance character of students at school. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of mastery goal orientation (MGO) and self-directed learning (SDL) on academic performance via academic self-efficacy (ASE). As a learning medium, computer-based training (CBT) attempts to boost student confidence. The study used a quantitative approach, with 142 merchant marine school students serving as participants. The questionnaire was used as a research tool to collect data. To assess and measure variable relationships, research data was examined using structural equation modeling. According to the findings of the study, MGO and SDL have a direct impact on ASE and academic achievement. The study revealed that ASE mediated MGO and SDL in relation to academic achievement. Individual ambition to acquire information and competence results in ASE, which indicated students' confidence. CBT allows students to broaden their learning interests. SDL and CBT complement each other in a mutually beneficial way. CBT is a learning tool; nevertheless, without SDL, it will be ineffective in improving academic achievement. SDL without CBT is less effective since students are unable to explore a broader range of information and expertise. When students use CBT as a learning medium, they frequently study and practice, gaining more knowledge and expertise. CBT is thought to be an effective learning medium for increasing student academic confidence and performance.

Abstract

This research aims to produce animated PowToon videos on reaction rate material with Joyful Learning content and to analyze the quality of the product being developed. The method used in this study used a 4-D model consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate stages, but was limited to the developing stage. The instrument used in the study was in the form of video quality assessment sheets and student responses. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of video evaluation by media experts, material experts, reviewers, and student responses were 90%, 95%, 93%, and 92%, which were included in the very good category. That animated video had the advantage of being fun for students because it could present factual information through engaging animations and learning experiences that are difficult for students to get outside the school environment. Based on the study results, the PowToon animation video on the developed reaction rate material can be used as an alternative learning medium in creating fun learning and increasing student motivation.
