Abstract

Bullying is an unpleasant act that is still a problem in the school environment. To find out about school policy innovations in an effort to reduce the impact of bullying behavior, this will illustrate the relationship between bullying perpetrators and victims of bullying in SMA as well as school policy innovations to reduce the impact of bullying. This research was conducted in high school students of all levels with the number of respondents 1119 students in Indonesia. Descriptive approach with mixed methods. The sample / respondent was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data used a questionnaire and were analyzed with proportions and conducted FGD and interviews with teachers in SMA. The results of the study concluded that: 1) The value of r-count (Pearson Correlations) of the bullying was 0.186 r-table 0.062 and the r-count value for the bullying victim aspect was 0.139 r-table 0.062, meaning that the relationship between the two variables was positive and increased the bullying and victims of bullying, there will also be increased assistance and support from parents, teachers and friends; 2) The solution to reduce bullying effects must implement policies at the macro, meso and micro levels that work systemically and in synergy by creating creative and innovative programs. With the existence of an effective and innovative school policy, bullying cases that occur in schools can be minimized in terms of quality and quantity.

Abstract

Usia anak adalah usia emas untuk mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan majemuk yang dimiliki. Akan tetapi, selama ini kegiatan pendidikan sering direduksi sebagai kegiatan pengajaran dan persekolahan yang terpusat pada transfer pengetahuan secara statis dan terkadang lupa untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan non akademik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelatihan guru Aisyiyah kabupaten Banyuwangi dalam mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan majemuk anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan berupa ceramah dialogis, latihan (simulasi), dan pendampingan. Dari 38 sasaran, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 49.74% puas, 48.70% sangat puas, dan hanya 1.56% tidak puas terhadap isi, metode, maupun fasilitas yang disediakan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa isi materi sesuai dan dapat menambah pengetahuan guru untuk diaplikasikan di lingkungan kerjanya. Guru juga merasa mendapat pengalaman baru karena belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan serupa sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas guru, pelatihan semacam ini perlu dilanjutkan dan ditingkatkan. Children's intelligence development training for Aisyiyah kindergarten teachersEarly childhood is the golden age to develop their potential multiple intelligences. However, educational activities have often been reduced as teaching and schooling which centered on static transfer of knowledge and sometimes forget to develop non-academic intelligence. This paper aims to describe Aisyiyah teachers training in Banyuwangi Regency to develop the potential multiple intelligence in early childhood. We used dialogical lectures, exercises (simulations), and assistance as the methods. The results showed that 49.74% of 38 participants were satisfied, 48.70% were very satisfied, and only 1.56% were dissatisfied with the contents, methods, and facilities provided. This shows that contents of the material improve teacher's knowledge and could be applied in the teaching environment. The teacher also feels that they gained new experience because never attended a similar training before. Therefore, this kind of training needs to be continued and improved to improve teacher professionalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an instructional design and respect training modules for teachers and school principals to create conducive school cultures, seed non-violence values, and prevent bullying in the elementary school. The study was development research using Thiagarajan’s Four-D model consisting of the four stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. This present study was limited on the first three stages of the model. The subjects of the study were elementary school teachers and principals in Sleman District. The results of the define stage showed that there had been various forms of violences that happened in schools. At the design stage, the instructional design of training was developed based on the competence standards and basic competencies that were expected to be mastered by school teachers and principals. The design included all ability aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. At the development stage, expert appraisals/ judgments and trial training were conducted. The Kirk Patrick’s model of training program evaluation showed that the respect training not only transferred knowledge of cognitive aspect, but also the transferred values as affective aspects, as well as developing the skills of participants in applying the respect attitudes into practice in school life.

Abstract

This research aims at exploring violence discourse in interaction among students, and efforts to reharmonize the conflict in fight of students in Yogyakarta. Based on the research, students know the violence discourse from electronic media and friendship. The violence discourse they recognize includes violence through language ( words, expression, comments, insult, mocks). They are familiar enough with the rude languages. To some of them, those rude words are the symbol of their close friendship. It is proved that nobody is angry due to the words. That attitude shows that they lack empathy. In addition, violence can fire up violence. Therefore, that violence becomes a portrait of socio-cultural degradation in society.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan jenis kekerasan spesifik yang seringkali hadir tanpa disadari dalam suatu relasi sosial. Bullying dapat terjadi dalam berbagai konteks,termasuk di dalam sistem persekolahan. Intensitas bullying di sekolah menunjukkanpeningkatan dengan jenis yang semakin beragam, seperti verbal bullying, physicalbullying, sexual bullying, emosional bullying, dan cyber bullying. Dalam perspektifsosiologi,  tidak  ada  jawaban  tunggal  dalam  menjelaskan  realitas  sosial  karenasosiologi merupakan ilmu sosial berparadigma ganda. Demikian juga dalammenjelaskan realitas bullying di sekolah. Tulisan ini mencoba mengurai tentangbullying di sekolah dalam multiparadigmatik sosiologi, yaitu paradigma determinismestruktur (makro objektif), determinisme agen (mikro subjektif), dan pemaduan(kontinum) di antara keduanya. Tinjauan tentang  bullying di sekolah ini pentingdilakukan supaya penjelasannya tidak parsial sehingga dapat memberikanpemahaman yang lebih komprehensif. Pilihan teoretik tersebut memiliki implikasimetodologis yang selanjutnya diharapkan bermuara pada ditemukannya solusi yangtepat. Langkah solutif untuk prevensi dan mengatasi bullying perlu dilakukan untukmengembangkan relasi sosial menjadi lebih harmonis dan humanis.

Abstract

Kegiatan PPM ini bertujuan untuk menggelorakan spirit perbaikan dan peningkatan mutu sekolah. Upaya tersebut memerlukan berbagai pendekatan, baik struktural maupun kultural. Pendekatan kultural memusatkan perhatian pada kesadaran dan komitmen warga sekolah tentang pentingnya nilai-nilai. Nilai-nilai inti budaya sekolah bersumber dari sekolah dan disepakati bersama oleh warga sekolah. Nilai-nilai tersebut perlu ditransformasikan untuk menginspirasi warga sekolah dalam peningkatan prestasi dan kinerja. Metode kegiatan adalah pelatihan dengan sasaran kepala sekolah, guru, dan perwakilan orang tua siswa di dua sekolah dasar di wilayah Kecamatan Ngaglik, Kabupaten Sleman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa transformasi dapat dilakukan setelah nilai-nilai inti budaya sekolah digali dan disepakati bersama. Sekolah perlu mengidentifikasi keunggulan, potensi, tantangan, dan hambatan dalam upaya perbaikan sekolah. Hasilnya menjadi pertimbangan dalam menentukan solusi terhadap problem kontekstual di sekolah. Upaya perbaikan sekolah memerlukan pelibatan orang tua siswa dan kemitraan dengan institusi lain dalam seluruh tahapan proses kebijakan. Mulai dari perancangan, perumusan, implementasi, dan evaluasi program yang mendukung upaya perbaikan sekolah. Kata Kunci: transformasi, nilai budaya, sekolah dasar

Abstract

The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology has cultural implications in society. The agenda setting theory, states that media determine people’s way of thinking. The agenda setting theory states that media determine people's way of thinking. Due to the strong penetration of media, configures have begun to replace old ones. Media continuously offer a new status, making the popularity oj contemporary heroes more and more significant. As a reference group, heroes are figures with whom the young generation identify themselves. A hero with its conventional meaning is alwavs changing. Formerly, a hero was a figure with an exceptionally charming personality. Nowadays. media have a role to set new objects that the puhhe admire through pseudo-heroism. This is called the involution of the meaning qf heroism. Such a phenomenon becomes a challenge in the field of education to re-actualize the meaning ofa real hero, namely a conscientious hero.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang tidak diskriminatif dan berkeadilan disadari sangat bermanfaat dalam upaya mewujudkan kesetaraan dalam relasi interaksi antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Namun dalam kenyataannya, perempuan masih banyak mengalami diskriminasi, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Ada sejumlah faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya ketidakadilan tersebut, yaitu faktor struktural dan kultural. Selain kebijakan pembangunan yang kurang sensitif gender, di masyarakat juga macih terdapat praktik-praktik budaya yang bias gender. Menghadapi kondisi semacam itu, tentunya diperlukan upaya nyata dalam upaya pemajuan perempuan menuju pendidikan yang Iebih berkeadilan gender. Terbukanya akses pendidikan yang lebih luas adalah satu kunci untuk meningkatkan pemberdayaan perempuan agar dapat berpartisipasi di segala bidang kehidupan di masyarakat.

Abstract

Belum meratanya capaian kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dapat berimplikasi pada ketimpangan kualitas pendidikan antarsekolah. Pada era otonomi daerah, Pemerintah Daerah khususnya Dinas Pendidikan memiliki keleluasaan dan kewenangan dalam memajukan kualitas pendidikan di daerahnya. Pemetaan kultur sekolah yang efektif dengan model gugus penting dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran kualitas serta mengetahui keunggulan dan kelemahan sekolah. Keunggulan sekolah inti dapat didiseminasikan kepada sekolah imbas. Keunggulan yang dimaksud meliputi kualitas akademik maupun non akademik. Praktik yang baik di sekolah inti dapat menjadi rujukan dan inspirasi bagi sekolah imbas. Sekolah imbas dapat mengadopsi dan mengadaptasinya untuk meningkatkan keunggulan sekolah. Sekolah imbas dapat menentukan keunggulan yang sesuai dengan konteks sekolah dan wilayahnya masing-masing. Dengan demikian, semua sekolah berpeluang untuk berkembang dalam memajukan sekolahnya dan ketimpangan kualitas pendidikan antarsekolah dapat diminimalisir. Kata kunci: Diseminasi, Kultur Sekolah, Model Gugus
