Abstract

Competition in the quality of education has become a driving force for educational institutions to enhance their quality in order to compete in society. Just like what has been done by Fastabiqul Khairat Elementary School in Samarinda, they have been focusing on improving the management of educational quality. Therefore, this research aims to examine the improvement of educational quality carried out by Fastabiqul Khairat Elementary School in Samarinda. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach. Data sources were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was interactive, which involved data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that Fastabiqul Khairat Elementary School in Samarinda has improved its educational quality through the implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) approach. The school's approach to improving educational quality differs from other Islamic-oriented schools. This can be seen in its strategic management, which involves organizing programs and establishing professional relationships with external parties. Continuous improvement is also prioritized, such as emphasizing the professionalism of educators in their respective fields. Language instruction, for example, is conducted by specialized instructors, and teachers are equipped to enhance their professionalism both at the local and international levels. The school also collaborates with the Cambridge curriculum to enhance the quality of learning. Adequate facilities and infrastructure are provided to support students' mastery of both soft and hard skills. The school values input from students and parents, actively seeking and incorporating their suggestions. Based on these factors, the management practices implemented by Fastabiqul Khairat Elementary School in Samarinda can serve as a model for other schools aiming to enhance the quality of education through Total Quality Management approaches.

Abstract

This research was conducted to comprehensively describe and delve into the strategies used by Islamic Education (SKI) teachers to foster a love of reading among students at MTs Al-Ikhlas Sait Buntu using a qualitative descriptive approach with a naturalistic technique. The results of the study revealed that SKI teachers employ several strategies to encourage students to develop a love of reading, such as repeated reading, memorization, and sharing experiences. In the repeated reading strategy, teachers engage students in taking turns to read, allowing other students to focus on the presented text. In the memorization strategy, students are included collectively to ensure that all students can participate effectively in the learning process, while the sharing experiences strategy involves teachers narrating real-life situations to enhance students' curiosity. This, in turn, motivates students to read and seek knowledge continuously. The contribution of this research lies in providing information about effective strategies to cultivate an interest in reading among students in secondary education. The novelty of this research lies in combining various learning strategies into a single activity, enabling students to experience more diverse forms of learning. The utilization of multiple creative teaching strategies can enhance students' enthusiasm for reading.

Abstract

One of the learning media which can be used in mufrodat learning (Arabic vocabulary) is a web-based image puzzle. However, in reality, the educator that uses web-based learning media in learning Arabic still needs to be found. This research is development research (RnD) which aims to develop web-based image puzzle media for mufrodat learning (Arabic vocabulary) for VIII grade of MTs students and determine its feasibility through validation and practicality tests. The research model uses a 4-D model that has been modified to 3-D, which is divided into three stages; define (definition), design (design), and development (development). The research instruments include validation sheets to measure product feasibility, interviews with subject teachers, and student response questionnaires to measure the level of product practicality. Web-based image puzzle media obtains a score of 3.5 in material validation and a score of 3.6 from media validation that meets the valid category. Based on the student response questionnaire, web-based image puzzle media obtains a practicality percentage of 76% which categorizes in the excellent category. Therefore, web-based image puzzle media in mufrodat learning (Arabic vocabulary) can be feasible and practical for the learning process.

Abstract

The aim of writing this article is to analyze and describe MBKM teaching assistance at MAN 1 Lamongan. This research uses a qualitative descriptive case study. The focus of this discussion is to explain the teaching assistance for students of the Islamic religious education study program at the Lamongan Islamic University MBKM program which was carried out at MAN 1 Lamongan and was attended by 6 students. Research data was obtained through interview, observation, and documentation techniques as well as using a data analysis process: collection, reduction, and concluding. The research results show that there are three stages that students participating in teaching assistance go through. The preparation stage includes a briefing on the concept of teaching assistance, student functions and tasks, reflection, and planning for teaching assistance. The next implementation stage includes acceptance and observation, making teaching plans, implementing teaching, conducting assessments, and reflecting on closing the program. The final stage is analysis and results, including analysis of attitude competence, knowledge competence, teaching competence, general competence of the school environment, and evaluation of the entire activity program. In teaching assistance activities carried out at MAN 1 Lamongan, students gain new experiences that can shape their character to become good and professional teacher candidates.

Abstract

In Era Society 5.0, Indonesia is faced with the swift currents of globalization, a process of order owned by the global community that knows no boundaries. This is also happening in the field of education in Indonesia which is the cause of the nation's downturn on the grounds that our education does not produce good human resources. National character is something that is important to advance a nation. To overcome this, changes are needed in the learning of the Islamic boarding school program for students' religious learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the application of character education in religious learning through a short Islamic boarding school program. The method used is descriptive qualitative by collecting data through observation and interviews. These observations and interviews were conducted with teachers and students at MAN 3 Palembang. Data analysis uses the theory of Milles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study were: 1) At MAN 3 Palembang, they implemented religious learning through several activities, namely book study, speech, al-Barzani, reciting al-Qur’an, reading Yasin, evening tutoring, and performing arts; 2) The characters that can be produced from these activities are religious, responsible, disciplined, confident, creative, communicative, curious, polite, courteous, patient, sincere, humble, independent, honest, respectful, creative, and innovative. The findings of this study are that the flash Islamic boarding school program implemented at MAN 3 Palembang can build student' character to become better individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling using reality counseling on increasing student self-confidence at MTs Al-Washliyah Kedaisianam Batubara. This research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental research methods. The design used in this research was before (pretest) measurements were carried out and after (posttest) treatment was carried out. There are two groups, namely the experimental and control groups. The results showed that (1) the average pretest score for the control group was 112.666 and the average posttest score obtained was 113.93. (2). The average pretest score of the experimental group was 107.2. The average posttest score obtained was 120.533 (3). The average score of control group students increased by 1.26. The average score of experimental group students increased by 13.533. The difference in the average increase in the posttest score between the experimental group and the control group was 12.26. So the average score of the experimental group after carrying out group guidance was higher than the average score of the control group. (4). The increase in posttest scores obtained by all students in the experimental group showed that all students in the experimental group experienced an increase in self-confidence after carrying out group guidance. (5) Based on independent sample t test statistical calculations, the value obtained is 3.28. The value of ????ℎi????????????g is 1.70. Then it is obtained > , namely 3.28 > 1.70, the hypothesis which states that there is an effect of group guidance on the self-confidence of Class VIII MTs Al-Washliyah Kedaisianam Batu Bara is accepted. (6) Acceptance of the research hypothesis shows that the implementation of group guidance has an influence on students' self-confidence. Group guidance has an influence in increasing students' self-confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe, analyze programs, analyze implementation, analyze supporting and inhibiting factors and analyze the implications of implementing religious culture through the habit of reading the Koran and praying dhuha for students at MTs Nurus Salam Deli Tua. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through the process of observation, interviews and also documentation. Then the data obtained is presented through the process of data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display), and drawing conclusions (verification). The results of the research show that: 1) There are several stages that must be planned, namely determining a program with objectives and foundations; determining the success of the Religious Culture program; determine the person in charge; Organize activities and schedule activities. 2) the implementation of the Duha prayer which is carried out in congregation in the morning, then prayer and dhikr together, brief tausiyah, second, the implementation of reading the Al-Qur'an which is carried out in each class guided by the subject teacher. With the teacher's method of listening to students' reading. 3) Supporting factors in the Religious Culture program are school regulations, coaching staff, facilities and infrastructure, while factors are students' self-awareness, the number of sins and immorality. 4) The implications of the Religious Culture program, namely Uniting Allah SWT in Rububiah and Uluhiyah; being solemn in prayer; Focus on reading the Qur'an; Sincere; It's easy to do good and obey, it's hard to do God's prohibition; The heart and soul are calm, far from anxiety; Honest; Humble; Discipline; and Manners.

Abstract

Currently, in order to improve the quality of education, learning mathematics needs to undergo innovative changes in accordance with the times and technology. In addition, education must also build the values ​​and character of students through religious values. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The aim of the research is to describe Islamic values ​​and their integration into learning mathematics and science at MAN 2 Langkat in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research was conducted at MAN 2 Langkat, North Sumatra, with the research subjects being math and science teachers. Data was collected through observation, interviews, document studies, and literature. Data analysis was carried out by compiling, connecting, reducing, presenting, drawing conclusions, and verifying. The findings can be explained that Islamic values ​​in their integration into mathematics and science learning have been carried out well where they have been adapted to the curriculum and the school's vision and mission as outlined in the planning of relevant methods and media which are carried out from the beginning to the end of learning. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of learning that is integrated with Islamic values.

Abstract

The worship and remembrance practicum program is meant to help students to internalize religious values. This study was conducted at MIS Al-Washliyah Insanul Kamil located in Melati Kebun, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency; by using qualitative methods and a phenomenological approach. The sources of data in this study consisted of school principals, teachers of worship and remembrance practicum programs, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The purpose of this study focused on background, strategies for internalizing religious character in students, as well as inhibiting and supporting factors in the prayer and remembrance practicum program. The findings of the analysis showed that the background of the program is based on the awareness of the importance of providing in-depth guidance regarding worship and remembrance toward students in daily life to create perfect people. The internalization strategy is carried out through the program and interspersed with advice regarding the primacy of the material being taught. Supporting factors in the program include students who are guided by competent teachers, while the inhibiting factor is the lack of supporting tools that have not been fulfilled such as the torso.

Abstract

The act of verbal bullying is a feeling harsh, the impacts can be generated such are problem of social, psychological and academic problems, from those impacts it is necessary to have a comprehensive prevention effort. This research and development seek to construct a group counselling guideline book using role-play techniques with welas asih to prevent verbal bullying in Junior High School (JHS). This study uses the ADDIE model research and development approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Based on the results of the analysis of research data, validation of guidance and counselling material experts, validation of cultural experts, validation of learning media experts, and potential product users as well as effectiveness tests, it can be concluded that the group counselling guideline book use role play technique with welas asih to prevent verbal bullying in Junior High School (JHS) is in the very good category according to the aspects of product acceptability (accuracy, usability, convenience, and attractiveness). Based on the results of limited field tests, it shows that a group counselling guideline book using role-play techniques with welas asih is effective in preventing acts of verbal bullying in Junior High School (JHS).
