Abstract

Introduction: Physical activity is an activity that is usually maintained in standard conditions before the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, students are mostly staying at home without doing physical activity. How is their physical fitness hold and increase their immunity? Is there a relationship between physical activity and fitness?. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity during the covid-19 pandemic and students' level of physical fitness at SMA Negeri 1 Majalaya. Methods:The method used in this research is quantitative with a correlation research design. The population used in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Majalaya totaling 304 students with a sample of 30 students of class X IPA 1 taken using the purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used were the Physical Activity Questionnaire during COVID-19 and the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia/TKJI). This hypothesis test uses Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis to determine the positive correlation between physical activity during COVID-19 and physical fitness levels. Results:Of 30 students of SMAN 1 Majalaya (100%), there is one student (3.3%) in the very good category, one student (3.3%) in the good class, 13 students (43.3%) in the good category. Medium type. 13 students (43.3%) were poor, and two (6.7%) were in the inferior class.  Conclusions: The results showed a relationship between physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and the level of physical fitness of students in class X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Majalaya in the 2020/2021 academic year, where a high level of physical fitness indicated good physical activity of students.

Abstract

Introduction: Students' critical thinking skills must be improved even though during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is done at home. They have a blended learning model as an alternative learning model that can be applied in schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of applying the blended learning model in physical education learning on the critical thinking of high school class students. This research was conducted in one of the senior high schools in the city of Bandung.  Methods: Applying a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The total population used is 249, with a sample of 156 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The instrument used is a Questionnaire Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents, which adopts from previous research that has been tested for validity with a value of -0.010 - 0.0506 and reliability of 0.682 - 0.745 so that it is declared valid and reliable, used to measure physical strength activity according to by age and distributed via Google Form with data analysis techniques assisted by Microsoft Excel.  Results: The research method used in this study was an actual experiment. By cluster random sampling, two research groups were selected in class XI, divided into two, namely the experimental group and the control group, which both amounted to 35 people—a total of 16 meetings. The experimental and control groups received treatment, the experimental groups received the blended learning model treatment, and the control group received the conventional learning model treatment. Instruments were given to pretest and posttest. In this study, the instrument to measure students' critical thinking skills was adopted from the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal, which consists of five components including 1) inference, 2) recognition of assumptions, 3) deduction, 4) interpretation, and 5) evaluation of arguments. Conclusions: The results of data analysis using the SPSS version 28 test paired sample t-test obtained a p-value of the experimental group of 0.000 0.05, which means that the blended learning model can significantly improve students' critical thinking, while the p-value in the control group is 0.000 0.05 which means that the application of conventional learning models has a significant effect on increasing students' critical thinking skills. The results of the independent sample T-test showed that the p-value = 0.000 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the average between the experimental group and the control group, with the difference in the post-test average value of the experimental being 16.75 more significant than the control group. Blended learning has a more significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills than conventional learning models. A blended learning model can be applied to improve one of the life skills in the 21st century, namely critical thinking for high school students.

With a Sig value of 0.00 0.05, it can be said that the variable (X1) and the variable (X2) have a relationship with the variable (Y). 2) From the table results, the coefficient number is 0.491, meaning that the level of strength of the correlation/relationship is in the Strong Enough category, and based on the table, the number of correlation coefficients is positive, namely 0.491, the direction of the relationship between the variables is positive, which means the higher the variable (X1) and ( X2), the higher the variable (Y), the same is valid if the lower the variable (X1) and (X2), the lower the variable (Y). Conclusions: There is a positive relationship between the perception of social responsibility and the perception of personal responsibility with the intrinsic motivation variable with a Sig value of 0.00 0.05.

Abstract

Introduction: As a social phenomenon in society, especially in schools, the emergence of a moral decline experienced by society is a sign of the decline and destruction of the nation. On the other hand, morality is an important factor for the development of the identity and character of a nation's society, so the participation of the school community is needed in reducing this decline. Purpose: To describe the social impact of organizing extracurricular sports at SMPN 1 Palangka Raya. Positive impacts, namely (1) can build student character, including being able to develop an attitude of cooperation, hard work, responsibility, discipline, enthusiasm, helping each other, and getting along with fellow students despite different ethnicities, races, religions, and even cultures; (2) can channel students' sports interests and talents; (3) can build a school's "branding" image by winning various sports competitions; and (4) can increase business income and school canteens. While the negative impacts are (1) that some students still have an attitude of individualism and self-assertion and are shy to ask; (2) that parts of the school environment, parks, and sports facilities are sometimes damaged; and (3) that parents need to add to the cost of children's needs when participating in extracurricular sports activities themselves, Conclusions: The activities of organizing extracurricular sports at SMPN 1 Palangka Raya have social impacts, both positive impacts in the form of building student character, channeling interests and talents in sports, building the school's image, and increasing business income, as well as negative impacts, namely individualism, self-assertiveness, embarrassment to ask questions, damage to school facilities, and increased costs.
