Abstract

Doksorubisin merupakan agen kemoterapi yang mempunyai efek sampinghepatotoksik dengan cara pembentukan radikal bebas. Daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatusKunth.) memiliki potensi untuk mencegah efek hepatotoksik akibat penggunaan doksorubisin(DOX). Penelitian bertujian untuk membuktikan potensi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kenikir(EEDK) sebagai hepatoprotektor pada tikus yang diinduksi DOX.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan randomized matchedpost only control group design. Sebanyak 25 ekor tikus galur wistar dibagi menjadi 5kelompok secara acak. Kelompok I, control normal diberi asupan akuades, kelompok IIkontrol hepatotoksik diberikan doksorubisin dosis 5 mg/KgBB. Kelompok III, IV dan Vmerupakan kelompok perlakuan EEDK dengan dosis berturut-turut 250,500, dan 1000mg/kgBB dengan DOX dosis 5 mg/kgBB, Pemberian DOX dilakukan pada hari ke-1, ke-5,ke-9 dan hari ke-13 secara intraperitonial (ip) dan pemberian EEDK dilakukan 1 kali sehariselama 14 hari secara peroral (po). Seluruh hewan uji diambil darahnya pada hari ke-15.Kadar SGOT dan SGPT dievaluasi untuk melihat adanya kerusakan hati. Data kadar SGOTdianalisis dengan one way anova, sedangkan data kadar SGPT dianalisis menggunakanKruskall-wallis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DOX dapat menyebabkan hepatotoksik ditandaidengan peningkatan kadar SGOT dan SGPT. Ekstrak etanol daun kenikir mampumemberikan efek hepatoprotektor yang signifikan (p≤0,05) pada tikus yang diinduksidoksorubisin ditunjukkan dengan penurunan kadar SGOT dan SGPT.

Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh kualitas obat terhadap nilai pelanggan dan loyalitas pelanggan diapotek Dela Semarang bertujuan untuk : (1) menganalisis pengaruh kualitas obat terhadapnilai pelanggan, (2) menganalisis pengaruh kualitas obat terhadap loyalitas pelanggan, dan (3)menganalisis pengaruh nilai pelanggan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan.Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode penyebaran kuesioner sebanyak120 responden yang membeli obat di apotek Dela Semarang lebih dari 2 (dua) kali. Analisisdata menggunakan statistika dengan bantuan program software IBM SPSS 19.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kualitas obat berpengaruh positif dansignifikan terhadap nilai pelanggan, dimana kualitas obat yang meningkat maka nilaipelanggan juga meningkat, (2) kualitas obat berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadaployalitas pelanggan, dimana kualitas obat yang meningkat maka loyalitas pelanggan jugameningkat, dan (3) nilai pelanggan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitaspelanggan, dimana nilai pelanggan yang meningkat maka loyalitas pelanggan juga meningkat.

Abstract

Date palm fruit (Phoenix dactylifera) is a fruit that has many benefits such as antioxidant,anti-bacterial, and anti-cancer effects. Dates also contain phytochemicals such aspolyphenols (flavonoids, isoflavones, lignin and phenolic acids), tannins, carotenoids, andsterols. This study aims to determine the activity of ciprofloxacin and dates (Phoenixdactylifera) against gram negative bacteria.This is an experimental laboratory research with a post-test only control groupdesign. Bacterial activity was assessed based on the diameter of the inhibition zone in MullerHinton agar with Kirby Bauer method. The gram-negative bacteria tested were Escherichiacoli and Klebsiella pneumoniae from clinical isolates that had been identified using VITEK®2. The concentration of the test bacteria was 0.5 Mac Farlan. The dates extract used wasAjwa dates extract ripe at 100% concentration using the socletation method with methanolsolvent. The test group was divided into 3 groups, namely the ciprofloxacin group only, theciprofloxacin group and the date palm extract, the date palm extract group only.There is no significant difference (P > 0.05) in the activity of ciprofloxacin andciprofloxacin with date palm extract against E. coli and Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria.There was no difference in the activity of ciprofloxacin or ciprofloxacin with theaddition of Ajwa date extract.

Abstract

There are many siwalan saplings among the people who utilize various kinds of fruit,leaves, nira siwalan. However, many people like the fruit and the water. In this case, legenlontar or other names nira siwalan can produce ethanol from siwalan flowers. So that, frommany people using nira only as a drink and so far some people produce nira on a small scale.Nira is a liquid that contains certain sugar levels, namely sucrose, glucose, fructose andcarbohydrates, which have an average acidity level of 6-7 and smell nice. This study aims todetermine the amount of ethanol content contained in nira siwalan and determine the effect ofstorage time on ethanol levels in nira siwalan. Samples of nira siwalan both original andbulk were fermented for 3 days, 6 days, and 9 days and then distilled at a temperature of78.37 ° C. Determination of ethanol content in the distillate results was carried out usingGCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry). The results of this study are the originalethanol content of nira siwalan at storage of 3.6.9 consecutive days, namely 0.27%, 0.91%,and 1.02%. While the results of the bulk ethanol juice of the siwalan level at storage of 3,6.9days were obtained ethanol levels respectively ie 32.05%, 39.99% and 44.42%. From thisstudy it can be concluded that the ethanol content in bulk nira siwalan is more than theoriginal nira siwalan.

Abstract

Daun ungu mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin dan tanin yangmemiliki efek antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus penyebab jerawat. Ekstrakdaun ungu dibuat dalam sediaan masker gel peel off dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi PVA.PVA berperan dalam formulasi masker gel peel off karena memiliki sifat adhesive.Konsentrasi PVA yang digunakan 5%, 10% dan 15%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untukmengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi PVA pada karakteristik fisik sediaan masker gelpeel off dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi PVA pada sediaan masker gel peel off ekstrakdaun ungu yang dapat memberikan karakteristik fisik yang baik. Ekstraksi daun ungudiperoleh dengan metode remaserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Pengujiankarakteristik fisik yang dilakukan meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar,uji daya lekat, uji pH, waktu mengering, uji viskositas dan pengujian cemaran mikrobadengan ALT. Berdasarkan hasil statistika One Way Anova pada karakteristik fisik sediaanmasker gel peel off meliputi pH, daya sebar, viskositas, daya lekat dan kecepatan waktumengering terdapat perbedaan signifikan yaitu 0,000 (sig<0,05). Konsentrasi PVA padasediaan masker gel peel off ekstrak daun ungu yang dapat memberikan karakteristik fisikyang baik adalah konsentrasi PVA 10%.

Abstract

Batu ginjal atau juga dikenal dengan Nefrolithiasis merupakan suatu kondisiditemukannya batu yang mengandung komponen kristal dan matriks organik yang merupakanpenyebab penyakit terbanyak kelainan saluran kemih. Salah satu metode pengujian senyawayang dapat memberikan efek peluruhan batu ginjal adalah senyawa yang memiliki efekdiuresis. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluhmemiliki efek diuresis namun belum diuji apakah juga memiliki aktivitas peluruh batu ginjal.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas ektstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluhsebagai peluruh batu ginjal. Pemberian ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluh diberikansecara per oral pada tikus jantan galur Sprague dawley dengan variasi dosis 86,25mg/100gBB; 172,5mg/100g BB dan 345mg/100g BB, serta menggunakan batugin elixir sebagaikontrol positif. Pemberian ekstrak etanol dan batugin elixir dilakukan 10 hari setelahpemberian etilen glikol 0,75% dan amonium klorida 2% sebagai inducer batu ginjalselama 10 hari. Pada akhir perlakuan ginjal tikus diambil dan dilakukan analisis rasio bobotginjal terhadap berat badan tikus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan metabolit sekunder yangterdapat dalam ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluh adalah flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin,tannin, fenolik, terpenoid, dan minyak atsiri. Variasi dosis 345mg/100gBB menunjukkanlebih efektif dalam meluruhkan batu ginjal ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan menurunkanrasio bobot ginjal sebesar 15,97%. Hasil rasio bobot ginjal ini tidak berbeda secarabermakna dengan kelompok kontrol normal dan kontrol positif pada taraf uji 0,05. Ekstraketanol daun belimbing wuluh dapat menjadi alternatif sebagai agen peluruh batu ginjal.

Abstract

ASI (Mother's Milk) is a good source of nutrition for babies. One of the traditionalplants used to multiply and accelerate breastfeeding is katuk leaves. Katuk leaves have beenknown as traditional medicine efficacious as laktogogum or ASI enhancer (ASI). For thisreason, katuk leaves are made into a formulation of chocolate milk supplementation forbreast milk which is preferred by women. Objective: To determine the katuk leaf nutritionpreparation formula and the effectiveness of preparations as ASI (Mother's Milk). Method:This study used a one shot pre-experiment case study design with katuk leaf pollination andchocolate nutrition making, then tested the effectiveness of 10 panelists. The measurement ofASI volume is done 1 day before storing katuk leaf chocolate and the next 7 days afterconsuming katuk leaf chocolate. Results: The results of measurements of ASI volume wereanalyzed using the Mann Whitney test, where there were significant differences in ASI volumeor p <0.05. Conclusion: Chocolate nutaseutical product formulation from katuk leaves asenhancer for breast milk, ASI volume measurements were carried out for 1 days notconsuming katuk leaf chocolate and for 7 days consuming katuk chocolate leaves p <0.05 wassignificantly different. meaningless.

Abstract

Pacar air leaves (Impatiens balsamina L.) contains saponin which has activity as anantifungal, can inhibit the growth of Candida albicans which causes dermatomycosis. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the inhibition of Pacar air leaves (Impatiensbalsamina L.) made in gel nail polish preparations for the growth of Candida albicans.Experimental research used a sample in the form of pure nail extract and extract. Physicalpreparation tests were carried out on formula I and formula II in the form of organoleptictests, homogeneity, dispersion, adhesion and pH. The results showed that the pH test in bothformulas did not irritate the skin. The scattering power test in both formulas spread well andthe sticky strength test on both formulas could be attached to the skin in more than 1 second.The homogeneity test in both formulas showed the presence of fine and flat particles. Theinhibitory test of Pacar air extract (Impatiens balsamina) on fungal growth of Candidaalbicans using the SPSS application was significantly different. In conclusion, formula II andpure extract showed antifungal activity which could inhibit the growth of Candida albicanswhere pure extract had the greatest inhibitory power.

Abstract

Infection is a disease caused by the entry of a pathogenic microorganism in the body'stissues. One of the bacteria that can cause infection is Staphylococcus aureus. Beans are oneof the plants that contain alkaloids, flavonoids and saponins. Which is believed to inhibit thegrowth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This study aims to determine the antibacterialactivity of extracts and its fraction on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria atconcentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. Bean powder was remacerated with 70% ethanol for 3days, and the extract obtained was subjected to fractionation with n-hexane, ethyl acetate,and water using a separating funnel. The antibacterial activity on the extract and eachfraction was made with a concentration of 5, 10, and 15% using the agar well method.Dimethyl Sulphoxide (DMSO) as a negative control and ciprofloxacin 0.005% as a positivecontrol. Antibacterial activity was measured using the inhibition zone diameter of bacterialgrowth. The results showed that the average inhibition zone diameter of ethanol extract, nhexanefraction and ethyl acetate fraction of beans at concentration of 5%, 10% and 15%respectively were of 0.842; 0.935 and 1.042 cm. The n-hexane fraction is 0.595; 0.787; and0.947 cm. Ethyl acetate fraction of 0.926; 1,008 and 1,049 cm. Whereas the water fractiondoes not provide antibacterial activity. The contact bioautography test results showed thatalkaloid compounds, flavonoids and saponins were able to inhibit the growth ofStaphylococcus aureus bacteria. The conclusions of this study are ethanol extract, n-hexanefraction, and ethyl acetate fraction of chickpeas having antibacterial activity againstStaphylococcus aureus bacteria, but the water fraction has no antibacterial activity against S.aureus; there was a significant difference (p <0.05) between the extract, n-hexane fraction,ethyl acetate fraction and water fraction.
