The researcher looked at the students' performance in pre-test and post-test between the controlled and experimental groups, as well as the significant difference between the two groups, to determine effectiveness. The study used a quantitative design, the students were placed into two groups for data collection: the controlled group and the experimental group. A pre-test and a post-test were given to both groups. The normality distribution test, homogeneity variance test, paired sample correlation test, and to test the effectiveness of HB. The hypotheses testing was needed, therefore paired sample t-test was used to examine the raw data. According to the calculations, the experimental group's post-test mean score was 64.33, compared to 46.00 for the control group. In addition, the paired sample t-test is used to assess hypotheses. The significant value was calculated using SPSS 16.0 and was found to be (3.800>2.145). This demonstrated that the home-based learning program was successful. Abstract

Conceptually there are many definitions of quality from experts who originally came from the industrial world to be adopted in education. Various purposes of quality include customer satisfaction, conformity to specifications, and continuous improvement. Quality management is used in education through management functions such as quality planning, quality implementation, quality control and evaluation. Quality standards have been set as ideal regulations to become a quality assessment measure in education. This article aims to examine the basic concepts of quality and quality management and compare their application in Indonesia. Technical differences in the implementation of quality management through the stages in each institution still provide the same substance, namely quality management, which is always based on regulatory standards or certain theoretical concepts. These stages are linear with general management functions such as quality planning, quality implementation and quality control/ evaluation.

Abstract

Online learning has been widely applied at various levels of education, including lectures for prospective teachers of elementary school students in Indonesia. However, student activity in learning is still an obstacle in this study. This study describes student activity in online discussions. The discussion was conducted three times with different topics. The activity can be examined from the students' posts during the three discussions. The three aspects of the activeness were the number of posts in each discussion, participation in the three discussion topics, and the number of words in each post. These results were analyzed descriptively to see the trend of active discussion. The findings of this study show the role of lecturers in providing appreciation and feedback. The role of friends in reinforcing other friends' opinions determines the increase in activity in discussions. Social presence, self-esteem engagement, and social learning are essential issues in increasing this activity.

Abstract

Guidance is one factor that can support the smooth learning of a child. Another factor that is also important in a child's learning process is the teacher's performance. If it can be done well, the level of student achievement will also be good. This study aims to analyze the influence of parental and teacher performance on student achievement, either partially or jointly. This type of research is ex post facto analysis, which is done to find out what had happened and then pulled back through the data to determine the factors that precede or the causes of the incident. This study uses a quantitative approach that is research that requires the respondent to be made objects on the questionnaire, and the results will be analyzed using statistics—analysis of data using multiple regression analysis. The study's results generally showed that parental and teacher performance significantly influences student achievement. In particular, the results of the research show that the guidance of parents does not have a significant effect on student achievement. In contrast, teacher performance has a significant impact on student achievement. With these results, it can be argued that collectively, parental and teacher performance substantially affects student achievement.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to evaluate how instructional leadership, teacher efficacy, and school climate influence students' academic performance. The study included 381 teachers from six divisions in Sarawak, Malaysia. This study used a cross-sectional survey approach. Questionnaires were used to collect data from respondents. For descriptive analysis, SPSS version 26.0 was utilised, while SmartPLS 3.0 was employed for partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis. By focusing on secondary school teachers, the paper adds new knowledge to literature. Surprisingly, the results of the investigation revealed that principals' instructional leadership and school climate had no substantial impact on student academic performance. Meanwhile, it was discovered that teacher efficacy has a considerable impact on student academic performance, implying that teacher efficacy is a predictor of student academic performance. Furthermore, teacher experience was not a significant moderator variable. Future research should focus on principals' self-assessment of instructional leadership and the moderating effect of school climate on student performance. The ramifications of the disparity between Asian instructional leadership and western literature should also be investigated.

Abstract

Diphthongs study the sound of language from process to change. This research covers "Blue Jeans" by famous singer-songwriter Gangga Kusuma, who started her career in 2018 with an emphasis on diphthong formation. Researchers choose English diphthongs for this research because it is important to listen to find the correct pronunciation in the learning process. Researchers use Roach's theory to divide diphthongs into two types. First, replace middle diphthongs such as /eɪ/, /aɪ/, /ɔɪ/, /әʊ/, /aʊ/ and second, /ɪə/, /eә/, /ʊә/. This study used a qualitative method and data were collected through a literature search. Analysis of the data revealed that Gangga Kusuma generated 26 examples of English diphthongs divided into 8 types. The diphthong /eɪ/ is used 9 times, the diphthong /aɪ/ is 8 times, the diphthong /ɔɪ/ is used only once, the diphthong /aʊ/ is used 2 times, and the diphthong /әʊ/ is used 5 times, diphthong ɪә/ is used only once, and some data samples are missing the diphthong /eә/ and /ʊә/. In other words, this study shows that Gangga Kusuma can make diphthong sounds that are consistent with those produced in normal diphthong production and the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary. Furthurmore, it excels at producing a variety of diphthong sounds.
