Abstract

According to hasan alwi (2002), character is “a mental, moral, or ethical quality that distinguishes one person from another.” Whereas according to coon (zubaedi, 2011: 8), character is “a subjective assessment of one’s personality as to a personality that is acceptable to or unacceptable to society.” That character would form motivation by a dignified process. Good character includes care and action based on ethical values, and it includes both the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of moral living (jamal ma ‘myrrh asmani, 2011: 27). Indonesia is a country with many diversity ranging from ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. As Indonesia has so much diversity, tolerance has become an important thing for everyone including elementary school students, a growing and growing tolerance attitude in the family, society and school environment will avoid such issues as discord and conflict caused by diversity. A growing and well-developed attitude of tolerance will result in harmony within the environment. The education of character will need to be applied to the Indonesian public. Therefore, to instill character education especially the nature of tolerance in elementary school students, which requires media that can interest students.

Abstract

In the midst of the current pandemic situation, the process of learning activities must still be carried out even though not directly face to face. Of course, this phenomenon requires the right media in online learning, namely WhatsApp. WhatsApp as a medium to support the implementation of online learning at the PUI Haurkolot Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is from this phenomenon the author raised this title. This study aims to find out 1) To find out the analysis of the use of the WhatsApp application in online learning for class V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamic Community Association Haurkolot Indramayu 2) To find out the obstacles to using the WhatsApp application in online learning for class V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamic Community Association Haurkolot Indramayu. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach using a qualitative naturalistic approach. the object of this study was Class Teachers and Class V Students of the Haurkolot Islamic Association (PUI) Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The data source for this research uses primary data and secondary data. Data collection procedures use observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of the WhatsApp application in online learning is very helpful in the process of conveying information about the material to be studied. In addition, the WhatsApp application is a means of learning activities, so that the learning process becomes more effective and provides convenience to teachers and students in the communication process during online learning. Obstacles in using the WhatsApp application in online learning are signal interference which makes it difficult to access WhatsApp, another obstacle is the lack of effectiveness of the learning process the teacher cannot directly see the seriousness of students, cellphone memory which quickly fills up with documents that are difficult to enter will be hampered.

Abstract

For learning that pays little attention to individual differences and peer groups towards children based on the wishes of the teacher, it will be difficult to deliver peer groups according to learning objectives. The purpose of this study is for teachers to be able to manage peer groups effectively, efficiently and on target in managing classes in the learning process at Muhammadiyah Sukajati Haurgeulis Islamic Elementary School (MI). This study used a type of qualitative research qualitative research collection technique, namely data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation with a sample size of 20 students from 2 study groups for class V, namely from class 5A consisting of 23 students and class 5B. consisting of 23 people, totaling 46 students from the number of students who are in Muhammadiyah elementary school (MI) Sukajati Haurgeulis. The results of the study show that: there are those who like to study independently or study together with peers and there are also those who have difficulty learning independently or in groups by discussing with class 5 MI Muhammadiyah Sukajati Haurgeulis.

Abstract

The Achievment of learning outcomes for each student is different, there are several factors both internal and external which affect student’mathematics learning outcome. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the fifth graders’ mathematic interest in primary school of (MIS) Madrasah Ibtidiyah Swasta Darussalam Sukaslamet in academic year 2018/2019. This research was a Quatitative study using saturated sampling (census) wihtin all of 17 students in grade 5 are involved. This Quantitative study used correlation methode. The data collected were analyzed using simple linear regression technique product moment correlatin and the coefficient of determination with the help of spss 23 sofware. The result showed that there was not a positive correlation between the students achievment of mathematics learning outcome and their interest in learning mathematics. The significant value of the interest in learning mathematics was obtained 0,381. It was greater than 0,05. And the value of pearson correlation between the mathematics learning interest and the achievement of examination result (Penilaian Akhir Tahun) was-0,227.

Abstract

Spelling errors are one of the types of language errors in written language. It was found that many students seemed to have difficulty when they had to write. Students do not know what to do when learning to write begins. They sometimes have difficulty using the correct spelling in the essay. Students often experience blank paper syndrome. This study aims to analyze and then describe; Analysis of Indonesian Spelling Errors in Writing Narrative Essays for Fifth Grade Students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Wathoniyah 1 Duren Sawit. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Informants in this study were teachers, and students. Methods of data collection is done by using interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that there were many spelling errors in capital letters because students did not understand Indonesian subjects. This is because the learning methods are less creative and the time to learn Indonesian is short

Abstract

Masalah utama mitra adalah merancang media pembelajaran daring yang dapat digunakan dengan mudah oleh guru; meningkatkan kreativitas guru; dan menyadarkan para guru akan pentingnya penggunaan teknologi. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah melatih guru di Kabupaten Subang supaya terampil mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berupa video pembelajaran untuk mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan, peningkatan /keterampilan para guru. Keberlanjutan program setelah program ini selesai sepenuhnya dikembalikan kepada guru yang mengikuti pelatihan untuk melanjutkan implementasi aplikasi pembelajaran ini. Terlihat bahwa terdapat hasil yang positif dalam peningkatan daya saing dan nilai-nilai sektor pendidikan para mitra. Peningkatan kemampuan para guru dalam menggunakan teknologi dan informasi dalam kesehariannya untuk mengajar. Hal ini dibuktikan setelah pemaparan materi, para peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk berlatih membuat video edukasi secara berkelompok maupun individu dengan menggunakan aplikasi Screencast Omatic. Para peserta terlihat sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan. Ini karena peserta baru dalam penggunaan aplikasi untuk membuat video pembelajaran. 80,5% dari mereka puas dengan kegiatan ini. Peserta mengharapkan ada kegiatan pelatihan kembali.

Abstract

The study aims at describing the roles of the principal as the supervisor to improve the teacher competence and discovering the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence it. The type of this study is a qualitative research with a case study approach which is descriptive in nature. The research data were obtained from the principal, the vice-principal for curriculum affairs, supervision team, and teachers through observation study, interview, and documentation. The research data obtained were analyzed by employing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research data, the roles of the principal as the supervisor at SMAN 2 Makassar in improving the teacher competence through (a) academic supervision planning are (1) forming the academic supervision, (2) compiling observation instrument, (3) scheduling academic supervision, and (4) socializing academic supervision; (b) academic supervision implementation: (1) visiting classes, (2) classroom observation, and (3) individual session; (c) follow-up academic supervision by providing guidance, assistance, and coaching through education and training program which cover: (1) In House Training (IHT), (2) workshop, and (3) subject teacher consultation (MGMP). The supporting factors in improving teacher comptence are (1) teacher’s motivation, (2) the school’s infrastructure and facility, (3) adaptive and conducive school environment, and (4) partnership between schools and education supervisors; whereas, the inhibiting factors in improving teacher competence are the situation and condition of Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe language acquisition in 2-year-old children. The researcher wants to know the language acquisition process of a child from the aspect of phonology. The child who is the object of this study has a fairly good level of language acquisition. However, in terms of phonology, there are still many errors in pronunciation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, which explains about language acquisition in children in terms of phonology. The data collection techniques were listening, engaging and speaking. The object of this research is a girl named Nahla Nasution, in interacting the child has been able to pronounce various forms of words and simple sentences. The results show that children are able to pronounce vocal elements (a, i, u, e, o) while consonant elements are still found some errors in pronunciation. This acquisition is influenced by the environment and stimulus given by parents to children, stimulus given by parents, one of which is by always reading books before bed and communicating with children like adults without changing words or sentences to sound funny.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of a lack of enthusiasm, interest, and lack of focus of students so that learning becomes monotonous due to the fact that many students don't focus on learning and need a new innovation in conveying material as well as any obstacles that arise when using the movie as a media. This study aims to determine the application and the obstacles faced and the solution to the application of the movie as media in fiqh learning for grade 5 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah GUPPI Cinini Indramayu. This research was conducted by using a qualitative research and descriptive approach. The data collection techniques were carried out in 4 ways, they are: 1) observations, 2) interviews, 3) tests, and 4) documentation. The object of this research is movie as learning media and students using Fiqh subjects. Based on the results of the application of the movie as media in fiqh learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah GUPPI Cinini, it went well from screening the movie to answering questions. The obstacles faced in the application of the movie as media in fiqh learning for grade 5 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah GUPPI Cinini were the limitations of school facilities such as LCD projectors and computers or laptops plus a socket that was too far away. So the solution is to bring your own LCD projector and laptop and use a long cable to support a socket that is too far away.

Abstract

This undergraduate thesis studied about the motivation values contained in Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” which can motivate the students in studying. The problem of this research started from if Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” Grade III Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Curriculum 2013 published by Ministry of Education and Culture has owned learning motivation values and how was the components’ quality of Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” can support students’ learning motivation. The purpose of this research was to find out learning motivation values and the components existed in Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” Grade III Curriculum 2013 which can make students’ improve their motivation in studying. This research employed library study approach with research type descriptive analysis and documentation technique. The collection of research data employed likert scale technique by giving points in the scoring sheet in accordance with the assessment criteria. The analysis result of students’ text book in this research showed that there have been motivation values in Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation”, the motivation values existed in Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” Grade III were in the form of book components such as book picture illustration and sentences passage in the book material. The components in Students’ Book Theme 4 “My Rights and Obligation” which can increase students’ learning motivation also existed with percentage in the amount of 100% from the book size side, and included into excellent category, book design side in the amount of 74% included into excellent category, and book quality side obtained percentage 84,3% included into excellent category.
