Abstract

The main study that will be discussed in this research is how the existence of understanding the verses of the Qur'an and its influence on the souls of the students of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo campus 2 are and what are the obstacles and solutions for students who are not influenced by the Qur’an. In this study, the author uses a qualitative research type, namely field research using an interpretive approach, using the mauḍū’i method. The method that the author uses generally uses the following steps: defining the problem to be discussed (topic); collect verses related to the problem; arrange the discussion in a perfect framework (outline); and study the verses. Data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the existence of understanding the verses of the Qur’an for students of campus 2 IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo as a guide and influence on daily life. However, there are also students who are not influenced by the Qur’an, encounter obstacles so that they are not affected by the existence of the Qur’an because they only study without understanding and applying it in life, because they are still affected by the environment and have not been able to control their passions, and the solution is with a strong faith, always muh}asabah and raise awareness in yourself that the Qur’an is the best guide for life.

Abstract

The main study discussed in this research is the concept of wajilat qulu>buhum in the interpretation of Ru>h} al-Ma’a>ni Mah}mu>d al-Alu>sy. There are three aspects that want to be answered in this paper, namely: first, the concept of wajilat qulu>buhum in language analysis, second, the concept of wajilat qulu>buhum in the interpretation of Ru>h} al-Ma’a>ni and the third, is to articulate this interpretation and then be faced with the current phenomenon. In this study, the author uses a type of qualitative research that focuses on literature research using a Sufi (Sufism) approach. The results of this research show that the concept of wajilat qulu>buhum according to al-Alu>sy in QS al-Anfa>l/8: 2. Namely: that, the measure referred to as the absoluteness of perfect faith, then the judgment is not correct, then proceeds to the inaccuracy of the measure of faith, then no one knows, if it returns to the knowledge of the measure of faith, on the one hand it is not the same. With the previous rejection, faith, the perfect believer is the one whose heart is sincerely faithful. I am amazed, because i am proud of his majesty and for fear of him the most great, as mentioned in his words: “The most holy and all-high he (with the remembrance of God’s heart to be calm) does not contradict the fear of the previous verse with this verse. Because both, are forms of tranquility of heart, spaciousness of the chest, which is filled with science and belief, then united with fear”. In many ways in this life, we often hear or even meet with the so-called principle of causality (the principle of causality) for example: when the absence of light, means to indicate darkness, here that the absence of light results in darkness. This principle is inconsistent with the heart. If heart is given, then taste is inhern. Interestingly, by Mah}mu>d al-Alu>sy in interpreting this verse, that when we have reached the point of faith, then only by saying his name alone, our hearts will tremble.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of an ideal nation from a biblical perspective. The object of study in this paper is the Koran and the Tanakh. The author compares the two holy books and then analyzes the concept of an ideal nation from Plato's perspective. The result of this paper is that there are two mappings of the concept of an ideal nation, the first concept is the status of an ideal nation judged by its determination to keep His covenant between him and God. The second concept is that to be ideal, a nation must apply several elements, these elements according to the Qur'an are amar ma’ruf nahi munkar. The philosopher Plato has an idea similar to the Koran, according to him a nation must be based on justice. This second concept opens the possibility that all nations have the potential to become ideal nations.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate the specific methodology of al-Tah{ri>r wa al-Tanwi>r interpretation by Muh}ammad T{a>hir Ibnu ‘A<syu>r, an expert of interpretation a Maliki-based has written his interpretive work using the analytical method (tah}li>li>) with a linguistic pattern (lughawi>) and tried to criticize his previous works. In terms of methodology, Ibnu ‘A<syu>r interpretation uses an analytical method (tah}li>li>), with the pattern used is language (lughawi>). The data collection technique used in this study as a whole is a literature research or book survey. Data is processed using qualitative methods, namely processing data based on the values contained in each data. The results showed that there is a distinctiveness that other interpretations do not have, namely the tendency of interpretation to the pattern of language (lughawi>). This is evidenced by (1) Writing down points that have not existed in the previous interpretation, (2) Explaining each i’jaz of the Qur’an in detail and contained in a separate book, (3) Revealing arabic linguistic values (balaghah, nahwu, sharaf, mantik), (3) Revealing the style of language (badi’) contained in a sentence of the Qur’an clearly by explaining the ways of its use (4) Explaining the harmony of one verse with another.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Gorontalo community, especially Lotus village, understands lailah al-qadr and the culture of the Gorontalo community when welcoming lailah al-qadr. So that in this study a formulation of the problem was formed: How is the interpretation of the Qur’an about lailah al-qadr? How is the culture of the community in welcoming and commemorating lailah al-qadr? What is the public's understanding of lailah al-qadr? The method used in this study is the tah}li>li> method and uses a qualitative descriptive method using the interpretation approach and the anthropological approach of the Qur’an. Data collection techniques in this study are the results of interviews, observations, and documentation. With data analysis techniques, namely analysis by collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study show that, the people of Gorontalo, especially Lotus village, understand lailah al-qadar with the descent of angels to the earth to bring blessings. The community also welcomed it with the celebration of Tumbilotohe (night culture of installing lights). This night culture of lamp tide is a culture that is hereditary and continues to be maintained today. This tumbilotohe is held 3 days before Ramadan ends, namely on the 27th night to the 29th night. On the 30th night or coinciding with the eve of the holiday, the lights are turned off. As a society that lives in the millennial era, we should continue to maintain and preserve the existing culture. So as not to be displaced by the development of the times and technological advances. Moreover, in celebrating the night of the lamp, it has religious values, such as improving the quality of worship on the days leading up to the end of Ramadan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Qur’an subsection in the process of stone zikir and its objectives in Tingkara Village. Thus, this research formulate the problem statements as follows: what is stone zikir?, What are the readings on the tradition of stone zikir in Tingkara Village?, and What is the purpose of carrying out the stone zikir in Tingkara Village?. The method used in this research is maudu‘i and descriptive-qualitative method with an interpretive and sociological approach. Data collection techniques conducted trough observation, interviews and documentations. The data analysis techniques, namely analysis by collecting data, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that in essence the reading pronounced in the implementation of stone zikir is pure sourced from al-Qur’an’s subsection, namely QS al-Ikhlas/112 as the core and several other readings such as QS al-Fa>tih}ah/ 1, QS al-Falaq/113, QS al-Nas/114. The tahlil reading (la ilaha illa Allah). Stone zikir is conducted with the aim of praying together for people who have passed away and the recitation of surah al-Ikhla>s} on stones is done with the intention of presenting the reward to the people who have passed away.

Abstract

This research discusses the interpretation of ‘Ali al-Sabuni in the interpretation of QS al-Fatihah in the interpretation book of Safwat al-Tafasir. The formulation of the problem in this research includes: how ‘Ali al-Sabuni is interpreted in interpreting QS al-Fatihah in the interpretation book of Safwat al-Tafasir. The data collection technique used in this research as a whole is library research because the source of the research is related written data. With the topic of the problems discussed using descriptive analysis The findings of this study are based on the interpretation of ‘Ali> al-Sabuni in the interpretation book of Safwat al-Tafasir, interpreting QS al-Fatihah using interpretation sources from “bi al-Ma’sur” and “bi al-Ra’yi”. Judging from several methods that have been introduced by the commentators, and by looking at the workings and also the characteristics of some of these methods, the research concludes that the interpretation book of S{afwat al-Tafasir uses the tahlili method. The interpretation of ‘Ali al-Sabuni who always examines each verse by paying attention to the specter of “balaghah”, resembles that of al-Adabi wa al-Ijtima’i.

Abstract

It is important to independently propose a study of the protocol (misaq). There’s a lot to explore about this topic, depending on what perspective and approach is used. At the same time, the views of tafsir (Qur’anic) and hadiths are still rarely touched upon. Independent study from the perspective of the Qur’an is an urgent attempt to obtain a complete view of this object. From the tracing of the misaq scriptures and the exposition of related research, it can be seen that the firm covenant of man and god (misaqan ghalizan) in the first three aspects, the covenant between man and God in the context of the implementation of religious teachings, is confirmed in the womb of man while he is still in the womb, second, the covenant between God and the prophet to publish his treatises, and the third is the covenant of harmony and peace between husband and wife. All these treaties are again firmly bound and will be accounted for in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop tahlili and muqaran methods using four existing research methods.The data collection technique used in this study as a whole is literature research, or book survey. Data is processed using qualitative methods, namely processing data based on the values contained in each data set. The findings revealed that there is a distinguishing feature that other interpretations lack, namely the tendency of interpretation to follow the pattern of language (lughawi). This is demonstrated by (1) Writing down points that did not exist in the previous interpretation, (2) Explaining each I’jaz al-Qur’an in detail and containing it in a separate book, (3) Revealing arabic linguistic values (balaghah, nahwu, saraf, and mantiq), and (4) Clearly revealing the language style (badi’) contained in a Qur’an sentence by explaining how to use it. (4) Explaining the harmony of one verse with another.

Abstract

Hoaxes are a catalyst for upheaval and violence in people’s lives. The spread of hoaxes is linked to the significance of raising public knowledge about communication ethics. This article clarifies two points. First, the ethics of communicating from the perspective of the Qur’an. Second, communication ethics in the context of hadith. Hoaxes contradict the Qur’anic norms, namely, qaulan sadidan (truth), not lying. This ethic is referenced in the Qur’an al-Nisa’/4: 9 and the Qur’an al-Ahzab/33: 70. The hadith also emphasizes telling the truth. According to Sahih Muslim No. 4721, honesty is the foundation of kindness.
