Abstract

Background. The Merdeka Curriculum as an alternative curriculum overcomes learning setbacks during the pandemic which gives "Independent Learning" freedom to learning implementers, namely teachers and principals in compiling, implementing the learning process, and developing curriculum in schools paying attention to the needs and potentials of students. Purpose. This research was conducted to provide an overview of the Merdeka Curriculum as a form of independent learning in elementary schools regarding the profile of Pancasila students, the structure of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools, and the teaching tools used. Method. The research was conducted using the Library Research method (literature study) and visited a website that presents information related to the Independent Learning Curriculum in elementary schools. Results. In preparation for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, teachers need to learn more about the Merdeka Curriculum and consider projects according to student phases in order to achieve meaningful, profound, and fun learning outcomes as well as students. Conclusion. The Merdeka Curriculum with the concept of independent learning in elementary schools provides "independence" for education implementers, especially teachers and principals, in compiling, developing and implementing the curriculum based on the potential, and needs of students and schools.

Abstract

Background. This research aims to offer a friendly mosque movement. The friendly mosque movement aims to make the mosque the main base in empowering the people's economy by referring to QS. at-Taubah (9): 18. Purpose. To examine this in this study, researchers used the type of library research (literature study), using primary and secondary sources, and using data analysis techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Method. Of these four programs, it can be realized in the form of a friendly mosque movement that can be used as a foundation for the economic empowerment of the people. Results. The results of this study are the friendly mosque movement through three management instruments, namely: 'idarah (management); 'imarah (pemmukran); ri'ayah (maintenance and procurement of facilities), can realize four programs which include: 1) Eco-Masjid Program; 2) Independent Mosque Program; 3) Productive Mosque Program; 4) Child Friendly Mosque Program. Conclusion. If the idea of a friendly mosque with these four programs is applied to 290,161 mosques in Indonesia, then the economic problems of the people will be solved and the mosque will be the main instrument in solving these social problems.

Abstract

Background. Learning media has a very important role in supporting the acceptance of information conveyed by the teacher to students. Through the media, information will be more easily accepted by students because it looks attractive so that students can focus more on understanding the material. However, based on initial observations in the field, many teachers have not utilized the latest digital media such as Powtoon. Purpose. The media that are commonly used are still in the form of Powerpoint (Ppt) and Student Worksheets. Method. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to provide training and assistance in making Powtoon-based animated video learning media for Mathematics academics in Mataram City. This activity was carried out online and was attended by 50 participants who were Mathematics practitioners in the City of Mataram. Results. The result of this community service activity is a Powtoon-based animated video learning media made by each participant. This learning media created is the result of mentoring PKM activities and is the output of these activities. In addition, there was a positive response from the trainees of 91.04% regarding mastery of the material, the technique of delivering the material, suitability of the material and the needs of the trainees, and the completeness and ease of operation of the Powtoon program. Conclusion. Thus, this PKM activity significantly improves the quality of learning mathematics in the classroom. Through this training and mentoring, trainees as Mathematics practitioners in the City of Mataram can produce Powtoon-based animated video learning media that suit students' needs.

Abstract

Background. The problems of teenagers today are so complex and varied. One of the problems faced by adolescents is poor financial management. They are very consumptive in spending their pocket money. This is influenced by the surrounding environment and lifestyle living. Purpose. The purpose of holding community service activities with the title Accounting training for managing youth finances in Kayugeritan village is to share knowledge about managing finances so that teenagers are not consumptive in meeting their needs in the hope that there will be advantages that can be saved according to their abilities. Method. The method used in this community service activity is in the form of providing training through the practice of making financial plans. Results. The result of this service activity is to increase knowledge related to youth financial management. better and able to manage financial expenses by distinguishing which is a  need or just a desire. Conclusion. They tend to buy goods based on basic wants, not because of their needs. Even though managing finances since adolescence is very important,  there are still many teenagers who have not been able to manage their finances. This can happen because of the psychological aspects of adolescents who are just growing up and the influence of the outside environment.

Abstract

Background. Accounting is a systematic process for processing transactions into useful financial information for its users. Financial bookkeeping can be regarded as an information center in a business. In the bookkeeping, you can see the financial condition of both income and expenses. You can also develop a strategy according to the budget you have. Purpose. This activity aims to help boarding school residents to make simple financial reports and provide an overview of basic accounting introductions.   Method. Activities using counseling methods and direct presentations to boarding house residents are seen by providing direct examples of financial report explanations. Implementation of counseling is done by explaining the theories needed and continuing with practice. After counseling was held, he opened a consulting clinic to help with the bookkeeping problem. The data source used in this service is primary data. The data collection technique used is by finding out the desired information about the problems faced by boarding house residents through counseling. Data analysis techniques are carried out by searching and compiling data, describing data, compiling data and selecting data to study and making conclusions. Results. The implementation of this Community Service can be well received by the residents of the boarding house without any rejection, and the residents of the boarding house express their gratitude for this activity. This indicates good acceptance of this service activity as a form of concern. Community service activities for boarding house residents and students who focus on simple accounting training for boarding children. Conclusion. The conclusion from this counseling is that the boarding house residents know about financial management to minimize expenses.

Abstract

Background. Santriwati who are pursuing college education have unique needs and challenges in managing their personal finances. With socialization about financial management, they will realize the consequences of unwise financial decisions and the importance of managing finances well to achieve financial stability in the future. Purpose. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about personal financial management based on the basics of accounting for female students at the Griya Santri Mahabbah Islamic Boarding School. This service activity also encourages female students of the Griya Santri Mahabbah Islamic Boarding School to get used to managing personal finances Method. The research method used is the socialization method. The implementation of this service is carried out through three stages: service planning, service implementation, and service evaluation. Results. 10 out of 12 people will try to apply accounting financial records to personal financial management. They will try to keep records of income and expenses for certain periods of their daily lives. As for the two people who don't understand, they haven't tried this financial management, so they can't apply accounting financial records. Conclusion. The socialization activities regarding personal financial management that were carried out at the Griya Santri Mahabbah Islamic Boarding School were carried out smoothly according to plan and even received enthusiasm and a good response from the female students. This socialization activity was carried out to provide information to female students who still had difficulty managing finances. In the future, it is hoped that the community service activities that are currently being carried out can be continued with ongoing activities in the coming year and added material on more in-depth financial management. So that knowledge about financial management can be understood and used as capital for the future of female students in managing better financial planning.

Abstract

Background. The gerontological nursing stage is one part of the clinical practice of the nursing profession that must be completed by students. As a form of achieving learning goals, we carry out group activity therapy activities for the elderly using the method of planting plants in pots. Some of the health problems experienced by the elderly include hypertension, sensory disturbances, tremors, diabetes mellitus, and dementia. This activity aims to: increase creativity, patience, thoroughness, memory and fill spare time. Population: out of 15 elderly people at the Budi Social Batam Foundation for the Elderly, as many as 10 can take part in the skill of planting in pots. Students use the method; pre and post conference, namely before carrying out activities, students measure the ability of the elderly to participate in activities, then intervention is carried out planting in pots. Results; this activity is liked by the elderly, the elderly are very enthusiastic, but the elderly force themselves to lift the pots and planting media. Purpose. This activity aims to: increase creativity, patience, thoroughness, memory and fill spare time. Method. Pre and post conference, namely before carrying out activities, students measure the ability of the elderly to participate in activities, then intervention is carried out planting in pots. Results. This activity is liked by the elderly, the elderly are very enthusiastic, but the elderly force themselves to lift the pots and planting media. Conclusion. There is a significant difference regarding the ability to apply therapy activities between the pre-test and post-test, this shows that there is an ability and an increase in the elderly in filling out activities, one of which is skills.

Abstract

Background. Smoking is one of the main risk factors for the health of the elderly. The use of cigarettes in the elderly can cause various health problems. The risks posed by smoking need to be minimized through promotive and preventive efforts. So education is very important because it can increase knowledge for the elderly in achieving a healthy life. Purpose. The purpose of providing health education is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about the dangers and effects of smoking for active and passive smokers. Method. The method of this activity was a lecture. Results. This activity was attended by 10 participants who were willing and by the inclusion criteria made by the activity implementers and carried out on April 17, 2023. Conclusion. This activity is expected to be useful for the elderly and can certainly increase the knowledge of the elderly about the dangers and effects of smoking for active and passive smokers, and of course can improve the health of the elderly in the Batam social welfare foundation.

Abstract

Background. Letter writing in Indonesian is an important part of written communication, both in the context of official letters and everyday communication. However, there are still frequent errors in its use, especially in terms of the use of capital letters, spelling, and punctuation. These errors were also found in official letters issued by government agencies in Donorojo Village, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency. Based on these problems, the UNS MBKM grant team conducted outreach to Donorojo village government officials regarding the management of letter writing as an effort to enforce Law No. 24 of 2009, emphasized PP No. 57 of 2014, and Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 42 of 2018. Purpose. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding of the use of EYD in government staff correspondence products in Donorojo village. Method. The method used is socialization and mentoring using presentation materials and interactive games. This activity is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparatory phase involved needs analysis, participatory approaches, and the development of socialization materials. The socialization was carried out by providing material and understanding about PUEBI. The evaluation stage is carried out through games involving standard and non-standard words. Results. The result of this activity is an increase in understanding of the use of Enhanced Spelling (EYD) in government staff correspondence products in Donorojo village. Conclusion. Governance of correspondence in government agencies is regulated in the law, in particular, Article 33 paragraph 1 which reads "Indonesian must be used in official communication in government and private work environments".
