Early Childhood Education and Development Studies ECEDS merupakan salah satu jurnal pendidikan anak usia dini yang menerbitkan, artikel penelitian, laporan studi lapangan, laporan studi kasus, kajian pustaka baik sekala lokal, nasional maupun internasional. Artikel yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal ini adalah tulisan asli yang berlum pernah dipublikasian di jurnal manapun. Tujuan Jurnal ECEDS dimaksud adalah sebagai wadah untuk menyebarluaskan informasi yang konstruktif untuk kemajuan pendidikan anak usia dini. Artikel yang akan dipublish memuat informasi dan isu-isu yang sifatnya terkini sesuai dengan perkembangan anak pendidikan anak usia dini. Abstract

Motor development is one aspect that must be considered in its development in early childhood. Motor development is often used as a benchmark to prove that children are growing and developing well. Motor development is something that talks about coordinated physical movements, so that in its development it takes a variety of appropriate stimulation for early childhood. Motor development is one of the most important factors in the development of the individual as a whole. Basically, this development develops in line with the maturity of the nerves and muscles of the child. Thus, every movement, no matter how simple, is the result of a complex interaction pattern of various parts of the system in the body that is controlled by the brain. The results of this study indicate that children who have good physical-motor development, when children are able to coordinate their body muscle movements optimally. Conducive environment, parenting patterns, nutritious food are factors that support children's physical-motor development, especially when they are still under the age of five (toddlers).

Abstract

The family is the first learning environment for children, the family has a very important role in shaping the character of children's manners, related to this in this study was carried out in Manleten Village, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara which aims to describe how the role of the family in shaping the character of children's manners. The research data is in the form of qualitatively descriptive data, research data was obtained through observations and interviews conducted for one month to sources who met the criteria as informants in the study, namely five fathers and five mothers, from children aged 5-6 years in Manleten Village. The validity of the research data through trianggulation of sources, namely by interviewing two teachers of the children. The results showed that in shaping the character of manners for children aged 5-6 years, families in Manleten Village have carried out their roles well, namely providing positive examples such as being friendly to guests, and speaking politely when speaking, accustoming children to say the words please, sorry, thank you, and greeting parents, the family creates a conducive atmosphere in the house by advising children and taking time for children. Broadly speaking, the role of the family in determining the character of children's manners in Manleten Village is divided into three main points, namely: 1) Character building through giving positive role models or role models; 2) Habituation; and 3) Creating a conducive atmosphere in the family.

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to describe the role of parents in developing independent learning for early childhood during the pandemic in Turekisa Village. This study uses a qualitative approach. There were 10 informants in this study, namely 5 parents who had children who were at an early age and lived in the village of Turekisa. The results of this study indicate that children's learning independence during the Covid-19 pandemic in Turekisa Village was quite good, all roles and attention were given by parents such as providing learning facilities, supervising children's learning activities at home, supervising the use of study time at home, monitoring children's learning difficulties, as well as parents help the difficulties faced by children in learning. Parents always provide encouragement and motivation in learning activities, because this encouragement can provide strength for each child to generate a willingness to learn, it's just that some have not been carried out optimally, because children have low learning independence due to the Covid-19 pandemic which makes learning activities are limited and more are done at home.

Abstract

Kemampuan calistung merupakan bagian dari perkembangan kognitif dan bahasa untuk anak usia dini. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk melatih kemampuan calistung anak dapat menggunakan berbagai media salah satunya media kartu bergambar. Media kartu bergambar tersebut anak dikenalkan bentuk huruf, bunyi huruf, suku kata, angka, dan juga dapat digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan menulis bagi anak dengan cara meniru bentuk huruf dan tulisan yang terdapat dalam media kartu bergambar. Sehingga peneliti ingin melihat perkembangan kemampuan calistung anak melalui penggunaan media kartu bergambar dalam pembelajaran di RA Raudah Hampalit Katingan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung anak usia 5-6 tahun melalui penggunaan media kartu bergambar pada RA Raudah Hampalit Katingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan menggunakan subjek penelitian sebanyak 31 orang anak usia 5-6 tahun, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Raudah Hampalit dengan menggunakan media kartu bergambar menunjukkan hasil berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH), baik itu pada kemampuan membaca, menulis maupun berhitung. Indikator-indikator pada setiap variabel kemampuan membaca, menulis dan berhitung menunjukkan rata-rata anak berada pada kategori berkembang sesuai harapan, kemudian disusul kategori berkembang sangat baik (BSB) dan masih berkembang (MB). Penggunaan media kartu bergambar dinilai mampu menstimulasi perkembangan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung anak dengan tampilan visualisasi yang menarik. Sebagai media pembelajaran, kartu bergambar dapat membantu anak memiliki kemampuan yang berkembang sesuai harapan dalam hal calistung yaitu kemampuan dalam membaca, kemampuan menulis dan kemampuan berhitung anak.

Abstract

Tujuan daripada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengalaman orang tua dalam merawat seorang anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif Fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah orang tua anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus. Hasil daripada penelitian ini bahwasanya orang tua memilik beberapa pengalaman dalam merawat seorang anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus, yaitu seperti orang tua yang telah ikhlas dan cukup sabar dalam menerima dan merawat anak berkebutuhan khusus. Akan tetapi ada juga orang tua yang merasa dirinya sulit dan bahkan mengajukan penolakan untuk bertemu anaknya yang menyandang kebutuhan khusus. Peran orang tua dalam mengasuh anak yang menjadi tanggung jawab terpenting bagi perkembangan sikap dan mental anak dengan cara merawat dan membimbing anak dengan baik dan penuh perhatian. Pola asuh orang tua terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus sangat penting. orang tua harus melakukan kegiatan pengasuhan secara Full Time (setiap waktu) karena anak berkebutuhan khusus mempunyai masalah yang kompleks secara umum

Abstract

This systematic review article provides an in-depth examination of the integration of technology in Early Childhood Education (ECE) within the specific context of Indonesia. It aims to analyse and synthesise existing studies that have explored the employment of technology in ECE, with a focus on significant findings, methodologies used, and challenges encountered. This review also seeks to identify and comprehend the obstacles Indonesia faces in the endeavour of integrating technology in ECE, covering issues such as technological divide, teacher quality and readiness, and the availability and condition of infrastructures. Furthermore, it attempts to investigate the opportunities present in harnessing technology to fortify ECE in Indonesia by considering the current trend of technology adoption in Indonesia and potential types of technology that could be incorporated in ECE. Based on these objectives, the review aspires to provide useful recommendations for policymakers, educational practitioners, and researchers in devising and implementing effective strategies for technology integration in ECE. The results of this comprehensive review reveal that, despite significant challenges, the potential and opportunities offered by technology for ECE are vast and need to be capitalised optimally. The paper underscores the necessity of a thorough understanding, holistic approach, adequate preparation, and commitment from all stakeholders in achieving successful integration of technology in ECE in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Achievements of Cognitive Development Aspects of Children Aged 5-6 Years before the Covid-19 Pandemic, and the Achievements of Children's Cognitive Development during the Covid-19 Pandemic, at Santa Sesilia Kindergarten, Lewokluok Village, Demon Pagong District, east Flores Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. Interview data collection techniques and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the achievement of aspects of children's cognitive development before the covid-19 pandemic, most of their children were in the category of developing very well and developing as expected, and the achievement of aspects of children's cognitive development during the covid-19 pandemic showed that most children were in the category of undeveloped and began to develop. The conclusion of this study is that the achievement of aspects of cognitive development of children who were in the school year during the covid-19 pandemic decreased because most of their children were in the category of undeveloped and began to develop, compared to children who were in the school year before the covid-19 pandemic, most of whose children were in the category of developing as expected and developing very well.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is: to find out how to increase the ability to recognize numbers through a number card media game in group B at Kindergarten, North Rahong Utara in 2022/2023. The research subjects were group B TK Negeri Rahong Utara, North Rahong Utara, Manggarai district, in the academic year 2022/2023, which consisted of 26 TK of 12 boys and 14 girls with an average age of 5 years.This research was conducted in group B of North Rahong Utara, North Rahong Utara, Manggarai district, which is the place of assignment of researchers where this kindergarten is located in the Ruteng Watu Benta 3 Middle School environment and is adjacent to the north of residents' houses, to the south of Watu Benta Elementary School.This research was conducted using two cycles, with each cycle held 3 meetings. This research was conducted for approximately three months, from June to July. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of number card media can increase activity and the ability to recognize numbers through number card media activities in group B children in North Rahong Utara Kindergarten. This increase can be seen from the acquisition of children's activity scores, teacher activity and class average scores and the level of classical completeness in each cycle has increased in cycle I and cycle II.

Abstract

The development of language is a highly important process as language is a lifelong process that bagins from birth. The primary function of language is communication. How ever in the kristen citra bangsa playgroup, the writer found that the childrens ability to exprres themselves in language is underdevekoped. Many children remind silent, nod, or shake their heads when communication with the teacher in the classroom. The puurpose of this research is to enhance the children language expression abilities through play activities. This study employs a classroom action research aprroach conducted in two cycles. The research subjects are six children in the kristen citra bangsa playgroup. Data collection techniques include observation, assignments and documentation. The obtained results indicate that in the precycles, the childrens abilities met the expected level only at 16,7% in cycle 1, this increased to 50%, and in cycle 2, further improved to 83 %. In conclusion, through classroom play activities, childrens language exprresion abilities develop significantly.

Abstract

The problem found in this research is the low ability of children to speak Indonesian. This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to speak Indonesian in group A semester II at the Tigawasa-Buleleng State Kindergarten in the 2021/2022 Academic Year after applying flash card media. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were 12 children in group A semester II at the Tigawasa-Buleleng Village Public Kindergarten for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Data on the ability to speak Indonesian in group A children was followed by using the observation method with an instrument in the form of an observation sheet. Research data were analyzed using descriptive and qualitative statistical analysis methods. These results indicate that there was an increase in the child's ability to speak Indonesian in cycle 1 of: 55% in the low criteria and in cycle II it increased to 82.55% in the high criteria.
