Abstract

Community service is non-formal education to the wider community, through educational activities, socialization, training, seminars and educational activities that can support community development. Education to the community is one of the implementations of the tri dharma of higher education. Community service through seminars on Improving the Quality of School Health Services in Segedong District is an effort to maintain a healthier life. The category of clean and healthy living in the school environment is a set of behaviors that are practiced by students, teachers and the school community on the basis of awareness as a result of learning, so that they are independently able to prevent disease, improve health, and play an active role in creating a healthy school environment. This Community Service aims to provide education to children, teachers, school health business managers in each school about healthy and clean living behavior in order to create a healthy nation generation. The result of this community service is an increase in knowledge about school health business management skills in healthy and clean living behavior in schools.

Abstract

Healthy community life can reduce morbidity and mortality rates and increase life expectancy. One of the health qualities of an area is the high life expectancy. There needs to be detection related to blood pressure, uric acid levels and blood sugar which results in a decrease in the ability of the body's organs to decline rapidly. Community service in this period was carried out at the Elderly Posyandu in Mlangi Hamlet, Nogotirto, Gamping, Sleman with various kinds of problems. This activity aims to improve the quality of life of the community, so that they can live healthy and happy lives. The form of this activity is the formation of the Elderly community, counseling to monitoring activities from the community for approximately 4 months in 2020. The Posyandu for the elderly is a form of activity from the elderly community that has been successfully implemented. This activity is driven by cadres who have been recommitted to revive this Posyandu activity for the elderly.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a highly contagious infectious disease. Transmission can be through coughing or sneezing droplets, or indirectly through objects contaminated with droplets from coughs or sneezes of Covid-19 sufferers. One of the reasons is is the lack of public understanding of the importance of the Covid-19 vaccination. One attempt to increase people's understanding is by providing health education about the importance of vaccination as an effort to reduce the incidence of Covid-19. By providing this health education, the public will have good understanding about the importance of Covid-19 vaccination, and will voluntarily participate in the Covid-19 vaccination program to support the government, especially Central Kalimantan Province in suppressing the growth rate of Covid-19 incidence. The purpose of this activity is to increase public awareness. about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccination. This activity was carried out in Henda Village, Jabiren District, Pulang Pisau Regency face-to-face, with lecture and discussion methods using leaflet media. The participants of the activity were very enthusiastic, and based on the results of the evaluation, it was found that the participants became more knowledgeable about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccination.

Abstract

This community service activity has been carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Lengkong, Nganjuk Regency. The problem faced by service partners is the lack of quality in the learning process in implementing the new paradigm curriculum, especially the lack of teachers who make lesson plans and the lack of teacher innovation in learning. The purpose of this service is to improve the quality of learning in implementing the new paradigm curriculum, through lesson study in partner schools, especially improving the quality of teachers in making lesson plans and improving the quality of teachers innovating in the implementation of learning. The service method used is to provide training in the form of technical guidance to teachers at partner schools related to the new paradigm curriculum and lesson study. The results achieved from this service are improvements in the quality of teacher learning, especially for grade 7 teachers who apply the new paradigm curriculum by 85% .

Abstract

Margo Mulyo Village is village located in Jati Agung Sub-district with general agricultural potential. One of the potentials is native chicken and biopharmaceutical plants. To develop the productivity of native chicken, biopharmaceutical plants can be used as phytobiotic green additives to replace antibiotics which are now banned. The objectives of this study are: 1. implementing the tridharma; 2. provide information to the farmer of Margo Mulyo Village on the use of phytobiotic green additives in increasing the productivity of native chicken; and 3. increase public awareness of increasing the productivity of native chicken. This community service was carried out in Margo Mulyo Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. The target for this activity is farmers in the village. The method to be implemented is counseling by way of lectures and providing examples of simple applications in the provision of phytobiotics to increase the productivity of native chicken. The counseling activity was carried out with zoom meeting on July 21th , 2021, while the field visit was carried out on July 22th , 2021 in Margo Mulyo Village. The results showed that farmers have increased ability in maintenance management, recording management, feeding management, and the provision of biopharmaceutical plants for native chicken.

Abstract

Pandemic covid19 should be handled together between government and community. The government programs will not be optimal without supporting the community. The problems were the gap in information and education about covid19, especially how to prevent the covid19, vaccine, health protocols, and how to make and use eco hand sanitizer. The aim of the community service was to give the education and covid19 cadres of the neighborhood association. The method of the community service was education intervention, counseling, and training about covid19, vaccine, health protocols (mask using, physical distancing, washing the hands, social distancing, reducing mobility), and making and using the eco hand sanitizer. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to evaluate these community service programs. The result showed that there was an increase in knowledge about the covid19, vaccine 25,6%; implemented the health protocols (19,1%). The media that using for education, counseling, and training were acceptable (65,2%). The community, especially cadres were active in joint the whole activity such as the installation of educational banners in various locations and corners of the village, as well as in the distribution of masks and the manufacture of hand sanitizer. The obstacle in this activity is adjusting the training time for cadres and the community because they still have to work.

Abstract

The purpose of doing this community service (PKM) is so that parents understand and know the requirements of preparing breakfast for children before starting learning activities while at home, by introducing the importance of sanitation and hygiene in dishes. The activity was carried out in Kulati Village, Tomia District, Wakatobi Regency, and went according to plan. The expectation from the activity is that parents will focus more on their children's breakfast needs in accordance with the sanitation and hygiene of the kitchen of each house.

Abstract

The intensity of lighting and air distribution in a room is one of the important parameters of a healthy room. Currently, there are still many rooms that do not have a proper level of lighting intensity and air distribution, especially for teaching and learning activities. Currently SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 has one room for teaching and learning activities which is still far from feasible with the level of lighting intensity being at 45 lux with room temperature reaching 30.4 °C. This will have an impact on the comfort in teaching and learning activities in the room. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the intensity of lighting and reduce the temperature level of the room by repositioning lighting installation techniques and adding an indoor air distribution system. So that the lighting intensity of the SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 room can be increased and the room temperature can be lowered. The results of the measurement of lighting intensity after repositioning the lighting installation has increased to 105 lux from the previous 45 lux and the room temperature has decreased by 1.6 °C from the previous 30.4 °C to 28.8 °C after the addition of an air distribution system. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that Community Service activities in Increasing Lighting Intensity and Air Distribution in Classrooms of SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 were successfully carried out by increasing the intensity of lighting and decreasing room temperature.

Abstract

Public street lighting (PJU) is an infrastructure that supports community activities at night, as lighting for pedestrians and vehicle users, so as to improve driving safety and comfort, improve environmental security and prevent crime. The existence of PJUs that are not controlled, such as forgetting to turn them off until noon is often the cause of the high consumption of electrical energy. This is often ignored by the public and is considered normal, even though when viewed from the total national energy consumption it has extraordinary consequences. Saving electricity consumption is a solution to the problems faced by the community, with the manufacture and installation of an automatic PJU light control system. The purpose of this PJU lamp automatic control system is to make it easier to operate PJU lamps so as to reduce electrical energy consumption. The stages of implementation in Community Service are a solution to problems by making direct observations to the location to find out the components needed, designing control systems, procuring tools and materials, assembling control panels, installing and testing automatic control systems, providing education to the community. of the importance of controlling the consumption of electrical energy by not neglecting the safety and security of electrical hazards by applying standardization in the use of electrical equipment. The expected results in this Community Service, apart from providing safety and comfort, increasing environmental security and preventing crime as road users, can also provide public understanding and concern for energy saving, safety and security in using electricity.
